Ch12b

Dropping Humeira at the airport had filled Ayaan with a sense of unease. It seemed that a few things in his life were out of his hand. Humeria was leaving him for a week, and on top of it, they had hit another dead end in the mystery of Asad and Zoya. Well atleast now they knew that Asad and Zoya knew each other from before, and Ayaan would have gone forward and asked this question to either one of them but was stopped by Humeira. She made him understand to respect their space, there needed to be a reason why they weren't letting anyone in on this. Maybe with time they would themselves share their story, until then he should just focus on his work and be there for the two.Just thinking about Humeira and how perceptive she was, made his heart swell with pride. He loved everything about her and couldn't wait to talk to his bad ammi regarding their rishta, but first he needed to somehow talk to her about Asad bhaijaan, how he wasn't sure. So he made his way back home to join the family for breakfast, before him and Asad bhaijaan had to leave for the shoot. It was only a matter of 2 months and they would be flying out to Calfornia for their next schedule of shooting.

Ayaan felt lucky to find himself alone on the breakfast table as Najma was still asleep due to jetlag, and Asad bhaijaan had gone for an early morning run. Taking it as a sign Ayaan approached Dilshaad and started talking about his shoots and about Zoya,very carefully hinting the proximity between his brother and Zoya.

Ayaan- Waise ammi, aap to Asad bhaijaan ke baare mein sab kuch jaante ho, to phir aap mujhe yeh bataaiye ki Asad bhaijaan ki zindagi mein aaj tak koi ladki kyun nahi aayi?? I have never seen Asad bhaijaan with any girl other than the ones he knows on a professional level. Ab to bhiajaan ki age bhi ho rahi hai..to kya aap kabhi pareshan nahi hoti ki unka nikaah kab hoga??

Dilshad who had been busy setting the table, came to a halt when she heard what Ayaan had said.She was not sure how to handle this situation. On one side Ayaan helping her out with Asad and Zoya would make things easier, but then she had promised Asad to never share his past, he had his reasons and she respected it. And deep down she knew that with time and healing, Asad would share that part of his life with Ayaan.

Dilshaad- Ayaan beta tum to jaante hi ho apne bhai ko..he likes to be with himself, bachpan ki aadat hai, woh asaani se rishte nahi jodta, aur rahi baat ladki ki, Asad is just reserved and likes to keep his distance. Ayaan rehne do in baton ko'.

Ayaan- Magar ammi don't you think we should talk to bhaijaan? I mean I just want to see him happy and maybe see him in love kyunki Humeira ke saath reh kar mujhe yeh ehsaas hua hai ki mohobbat zindagi mein kitni zaroori hai, aur mein chahta hu ki bhaijaan ko bhi koi mile aur unhe bhi mohobbat ke ehsaas chu jaaye...

Dilshaad- Ayaan mein janti hu tum kya kehna chahte ho, and just the way I was happy for you and Humeira,I wish the same for Asad. Magar Asad kisi ke saath jaldi nahi khulta, so its very hard for him to be comfortable around a girl.

Ayaan- Nai actually mein aapko bata to raha tha na, ki Zoya ke aane se Asad bhaijaan mein kaafi changes aaye hai. He smiles more often, he has fun on the sets, infact they also fight with each other and bicker about small issues, and sach mein everyone on the sets just see how different Asad bhaijaan is now. Aisa lagta hai ki there is this connection between them ammi..

Dilshaad- Ayaan lets not talk about this right now, just help me with the breakfast. Asad will do what he wants to do, who kisi ki nahi sunta and its better for all of us to let him be'

She said it a little too firmly wanting to close this topic of conversation.If they carried on any longer it was very likely that she would crack. All this while only her pretending to be busy with work kept her from Ayaan's sharp eye, already he was onto something concerning Asad and Zoya and if she reacted it would prove his suspicions.

Ayaan- But ammi Asad bhaijaan...

Asad walked in hearing his name and out of curiosity asked about it.

Asad- Asad bhaijaan kya Ayaan?? What are you guys talking about that concerns me huh??

Dilshaad- Uh umm who kuch nahi beta, bas Ayaan tumhare baare mein pooch raha tha..haina Ayaan??

Dilshaad looked at Ayaan hoping for him to let this conversation slide.

Ayaan- Well actually mein ammi se aapke baare mein kuch pooch raha tha..

Dilshaad's heart stopped, what was Ayaan going to do?

Asad- Achaa to batao kya pooch rahe the???

Ayaan- Well I was asking her about...he looked at Dilshaad seeing the fear he had thougth her would see..

Ayaan-Well I was just asking ammi ki aap set pe kab tak aaoge?

He saw l Dilshaad letting out a sigh, proving that Dilshaad knew something about Asad and Zoya, and he made it a point then to get it out of her.

Asad- O ya I told you I had to be someplace else and it will take me time..but mere manager ne woh meeting reschedule kardi hai, so I will be on sets at the said time. Chalo I am gonna go get ready, Ayaan to you ahead, mein tumhe sets pe milta hu'. With that he walked away, the mention of the set making him think about Zoya and all that followed, making him smile.

Zoya's smile faltered as soon as she walked towards the sets, instead her anger took over. She had decided to be mad at Asad for playing her, for making her act like a fool and until she avenged herself, she was not going to let this slide. She made her way to her room in good sprits and ready for it all.

Zoya- Since he didn't like me ignoring me or talking with the boys, Iam gonna do just that,infact I'll make it a point to be the lease accommodating co actor. Dekhte hai 4 logo ke beech mein kya karta hai...She smiled at her plan and made her way to the shoot.

She spotted Asad before he spotted her and quickly beelined her way to the crew, greeting them and hifiing them, stealing quick glances to see if Asad had noticed.But Asad seemed too busy with his lines..She decided to take it up a notch and started to laugh at their jokes and scooted in closer,but Asad seemed oblivious.this was making Zoya mad...she had to do something, but before she could plan her next move, the shot was called.

Ayaan- So the scene goes like this. ..Ayaan quickly explained the scene to them and proceeded for the first shot.

Zoya completely ignored Asad, not even smiling, let alone making any eye contact. But Asad was nonchalant. He just focused on the scene and grabbed Zoya in his arms and lifted her and started running. It was an intense scence where the hero was rushing his injured and unconscious girlfriend to the hospital. Zoya who was to pretend to be all limp in his hands decided to bother him a little, so rather than distributing her weight to make Asad's running easier, she drooped, putting all her weight on Asad. That would surely irritate him, she thought triumphantly.But even that didn't deter Asad, he ran effortlessly for the next few shots without any complaints..

Finally after 5 takes the shot was done, breaking for lunch.

Zoya started walking towards her room when Asad caught upto her and whispered close to her ear.

Asad- I have lifted you many times when you would fall asleep on the couch, watching one of your favorite shows, so I think better luck next time... He almost walked off but before Zoya could registar anything he turned around.

Asad- And ya don't you think that was a bit childish even for you to try the same things twice?? I mean how did you think that you talking with the crew will bother me now??

He leaned down and gently kissed her cheek.

Asad- Not after yesterday... He winked and walked away.

Zoya's mouth hung open in shock. Asad had stumped her again, making her even more angry as she finally recovered from the shock.

Zoya- Allah miyaan, whats wrong with him, what does he think of himself?? Ek to kal pura din mujhe pareshaan kar diya aur aaj bhi...arrrghhh n upar se he kissed me twice.. She blused at the very thought of his kisses, especially the rush she felt when his lips possessed hers. Arrggh how could he... that too without my consent..Now its war...Asad ur a dead man...she finally walked off to her room.

It had been 20 minutes and Zoya had finally calmed down a little when someone knocked at her door. Assuming that only Asad would bother her on her lunch break she opened the door, ready to blast, but she was greeted by a DHL delivery boy at the door.

DHL boy-Maam' kya aapka naam Zoya Farooqi hai??'

Zoya- Ji..She finally remembered about her aapi's remaining gift.

DHL boy- Maam' mein aapka parcel laaya hun, kya aap aapka koi official ID dikha sakti hai??

Zoya went to her purse and took out her passport that she had for some paper work with the producer.

Zoya- Yeh lo'

DHL boy checked it and looked at her in confusion.

DHL boy- Maam' yeh..

Zoya- Kya hua,it's a legal id'

DHL boy- Haan maam' umm actually...umm Oh well I am sorry, haa mein yeh note kar leta hu...aap please yahan sign kar lijiye and please read this letter and I will go get your parcel'

Zoya signed and opened the letter.

Zoya mera bachha

So since woh delivery boy tumhari next present lene gaya hai...lemme tell you that it is one of the most precious gifts you have ever received and mein jaanti hu ki tumahre liye yeh gift kitni important hai. You have never parted with it ever,you need to see it when you wake up,your sadness disappears when you have it with you and you even hold it with you when you go to sleep. It was a very hard gift for me to send but I couldn't keep it with me, when the person who gifted it and the owner of the gift was in India.So after a lot of hard work I was finally able to send this gift your way, with a wish that it will become a bridge between you two. Chalo ab woh lekar hi aata hoga so I'll let you go. And don't forget, a special day related to your gift is on its way.Call me and tell me once you get it ...how you liked my surprise..

And just on cue the delivery boy walked in with a bag hung on his shoulders and leash in his hands.

Zoya couldn't believe what followed next. It was Mango, a very excited and impatient Mango.

The moment she saw Zoya she dragged the delivery boy with her, trying to free herself. The delivery boy let her go and she literally jumped on a dazed Zoya, making Zoya scream out in joy, pure unadlutrated joy.

Mango couldn't stop her whining, as she jumped on Zoya and licked her all over her face, trying to get all the love she had missed in the past few months.

Zoya on the other hand couldn't contain her tears, she was crying and laughing at the same time, trying to hold on to Mango, trying to hug her and kissed her.She had missed her so much and now she was here, she didn't know how to thank her aapi.She had infact surpassed her expectations and made her so very happy, she couldn't express.

Finally, the two calmed down a little with Zoya grabbing Mango's backpack from the delivery boy and letting him go.

She sat on the floor and hugged Mango, kissing her and telling her how much she missed her.

Zoya- Mango my baby,I missed you so much...'

Woof came the answer,making Zoya laugh. She was beyond happy and just like always the girls lay down and talked to each other expressing themselves in their own language.

Zoya set up Mango's bed and food trays,in her room and fed her, deciding to take her out to pee before she resumed her shooting. Putting on the leash, both of them walked outside, only to be greeted by the crew members curiosity and ooh's and aah's, to which Mango resonded by wagging her docked tail. Everyone instantly fell in love with Mango and Mango enjoyed all the attention she was getting. Finally finding a spot she did her business and they both started to walk back to the room. But shortly on the way, Mango stopped; she started sniffing around resisting Zoya's tug.

Zoya- Mango lets go, I am gonna get late.'

But Mango just kept on sniffing moving in the direction of the smell. Suddenly her head shot up,Slowly she prowled,her head attentive, and before Zoya could comprehend, Mango leaped into a full sprint freeing her leash from Zoya's hand and ran.

Zoya not knowing what took over Mango, ran behind her to catch her. She was a fast dog and it was impossible for Zoya to match her speed and in a matter of seconds Mango was out of her sight, making her worried. She ran as fast as she could and then she saw her making way to the sets, she seemed to have slowed down, allowing for Zoya to get closer. Finally she saw where Mango was headed, but before she could stop her,Mango jumped, she jumped on Asad, taking him by surprise, her sudden pounce making him lose his balance and dropping on the floor, Mango on top of him, barking at him licking him like a maniac.

The whole crew including Ayaan were shocked, they thought that Asad was being attacked and jumped into help, but his laughter stopped them in their tracks.

Asad was laughing, he was laughing with childlike abaondon,he didn't care that he was rolling in the mud, he didn't care that there was slobber all over him, he was just laughing. After about a minute he finally decided to stand up, lifting Mango in his hands, kissing her and enjoying being licked.

Asad- Mango my baby', He patted her and kissed her, making his way to his chair. Mango woofed in response and licked him again.

Asad- Kahan thi my sweetheart,cant believe you have grown up so much...arree bas ab bas..bahut ho gaya...u know I never liked you licking me...chalo now calm...

Mango instantly understood his command and relaxed in his lap, closing her eyes and enjoying his warmth and caress.

Zoya who had been standing there, with tears in her eyes and a broad smile finally walked towards the duo, trying to wipe off her tears. She knelt down by Asad's chair and gently patted Mango.

Zoya- Mango, do u know how worried I got when you ran away like that..Mango looked up from Asad's lap, giving her best puppy look.

Zoya- Don't do that..I am mad at you..

Mango just pushed her head forward closer to Zoya's hand telling her to pat her.

Zoya patted her, failing to stay angry..

Zoya- You could have told me naa...ki tumhe tumhare... She looked at Asad, who seemed to be enjoyin the conversation whilst caressing Mango.

Zoya- So did you miss your Asad Mango??

Woof woof woof...

Zoya- Ok ok I get it..you missed him a lot...even I missed him..she said it before she could stop herself.

The sudden confession took Asad by surprise as he looked into Zoya's eyes. She had been crying, but this time he didn't mind, as he knew the reason behind them. She was just happy to see Mango..and to see Mango with him.

Asad- Mango, even I missed you so much, and how could I not. I was the one who first saw you when you were born, I was the one who got you home. So even though you might be Zoya's gift, your still mine.' He kissed her forehead and Mango sighed.

Zoya- No Mango meri hai, you cant put your claim on a gift'.

Asad- Whatever Zoya I don't have time for you...don't you see I am busy with my girl..

Zoya- Mango meri hai, she's my birthday present'

Asad-And I was the one who gave you that present. So I had Mango before I gave her to you, so she is mine..

Zoya-Asad stop being childish, you don't own a gift you give someone..Arrgh give me my Mango back.

Asad-Why are you yelling, why don't you let Mango decide who she wants to go with??

Zoya- Fine I'll show you..Mango mere paas hi aayegi..

Asad-Sure if you say so...and with that he got up and put Mango down.

Zoya-Come Mango lets go, come to ur Zoya, come girl come...she called..

But Mango just stood their confused.

Asad didn't bother to call her, he just looked at her.

Mango looked back and forth and without any hesitations walked up to Asad and sat by his legs.

Zoya couldn't believe it,

Zoya-Dagabaaz Mango..bad girl...I am not talking to you..And you stop smirking..she's just into you because she hasn't seen you in so long...she accused Asad, who was busy laughing..

Asad- Zoya you know everytime you have done so you lost, what makes you think it would be any different now??? 4 din ho ya 4 saal ho..it will always be the same, right Mango??

Woof..came the response..

Zoya- Asad...dekh lungi tumhe..I am not done with you...

Asad-Jaanta hu..subah se jo badla lene padi ho..and let me tell one thing...nahi kar paogi..

Zoya-Don't challenge me...Zoya farooqi can do anything..

Asad- Well then dekhte hai..

Ayaan just walked in on their conversation...

Ayaan-Bhaijaan aap Zoya ke dog ko kaise jaante hai..kaafi attached hai aapse...

Asad-Ayaan, stop with this interrogation...hum scene ke liye ready ho jaaye??? He tactfully dodged the question, but Ayaan was getting a clearer picture with every right question he asked...He decided to try hi luck with Zoya..

Ayaan-Zoya yaar lagta hai tumhara dog to Asad bhaijaan ko tumse zyaada prefer karta hai..

Zoya-Well whats new..she's just partial pehle se hi.....Asad's glare made Zoya aware of what she was about to say..

I mean kya kare Mango..tumhare bhaijaan ki personality hi kuch aise hai..that any girl would be smitten by his charm..Ab mujhe hi dekh lo..its so hard for me to concentrate when I am working with such big star, coz after finding so much about him from all over the place..I cant help but be starstruck..Well I guess we should resume the shoot don't you think?? Mein thoda retouch karke aati hu'. She winked at Asad and walked away, leaving behind two very astounded brothers behind.

So this one goes out to my boy..my dog Mowgli..I imagined him when I wrote about Mango..and also wanna cheer for Archana(mysticlover) as she guessed the right gift..👏..well so did u guys like this update??? did u like that it was Zoya's dog, a gift to her from Asad..rather than a guy???😆 Well chalo comment n lemme knw..next update might experience some rise in the temperature..😉...lets c..I guess it will all depend on ur COMMENTS...when the next update will be ..so the more you comment the faster I'll write..so KEEP COMMENTING!!!😃

I dont have words to say😳 it was beautiful. i was smiling all the time while reading the update. Asad and Zoya's fight over Mango was soo cute😳 i hope they unite soon😳
