MUMBAI: For all the times the judges of popular dance reality TV show kept harping that TV actress Drashti Dhami is cut out for films, their prayers may finally be answered!
It has been learnt that Drashti Dhami, star of the uber popular daily soap Madhubala' may just land herself a plum 70 mm role, opposite none other than Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn himself.
Drashti Dhami, the pretty Gujarati girl turned TV superstar, who has for several years now regaled the small screen, may now just get her golden ticket to the big screen. If rumours are to be believed, Rohit Shetty, filmmaker of the 2011 super hit Singham' is planning a sequel and is considering Drashti for the role.
The original Singham starred Ajay Devgn and Kajal Agarwal, but for the sequel, the director is reportedly keen on a new face. If she is signed on for the film, she will be seen romancing superstar Ajay Devgn.
TICKET TO BOLLYWOOD:
Drashti, while juggling her daily soap, also recently took part in a star-studded dance reality show on TV, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Not only did she end up winning the title, but she also got noticed for her stunning looks and impeccable expressions. Which naturally led to judges Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D'Souza remarking that they would love to see her in a film someday.
Even many of the celebrity guests on the show were taken by her beauty, grace and charm, and spun magical tales about her impending bright future in films.
Looks like their wishes may soon be granted, if Drashti indeed gets signed on for Singham 2.
