I have done the next chapter.. sorry again for the delay! This update again doesn't have a lot of happy moments between AnYa but very soon there is a lot of romance coming up.. the misunderstanding will be cleared! So don't feel bad..i am just trying to show the ups and downs of their love story! Please read and leave your honest feedback!
Part 28
The day had arrived where Navya would be leaving for Mumbai but she didn't know that her play was in less than 9 hours time and she would be in Mumbai back in her home, with her family, her friends and most importantly her love Anant. Raj, Anjali and Shreya secretly started packing Navya's bags when she was in the kitchen cooking up a meal in the afternoon. She decided to make vegetable stir fry with noodles. She was in her own world thinking about Anant and decided to call him.
She looked at her phone to see 20 missed calls from him. Her heart paused a little bit and she had realised that Anant had been trying to wish her on her birthday and she had not answered. She felt really bad but was hoping Anant would pick up and most importantly not be angry at her. She went to her call list and found his name. She felt a little hesitant before calling it. She closed her eyes and rang the number. Anant was in his room when his phone went off. He didn't look at the name as he was busy finishing off an assignment. "Hello!" Anant said without knowing it was Navya. She smiled and felt everything was okay. "Anant..it's me Navya!" she said happily. Anant looked angry. "So you got time to ring me now did you?" Anant said angrily. Navya sensed he was angry but he had every right to. "Anant I am sorry... I can explain!" Navya tried to add to it. "Navya.. I haven't got time now.. I need to work for my exams because I messed up last time and I really dont want to spoil my mood!" Anant was very angry. Navya was in tears. Anant put the phone down. Navya was shocked but felt guilty for not looking at her phone once.
She sat down on the stool and cried. Anjali and Shreya came out laughing and saw Navya crying on the chair. "Navya...what's wrong?" Anjali saw her. They ran to her and saw the stir fry burning. Shreya turned off the gas. Anjali held her and wiped her tears. "Navya..why are you crying baby? Tell me!" Anjali asked her. Navya snuffled her tears and looked at Anjali and Shreya. "Anant.." she managed to get out. "What about Anant? What has he said?" Anjali added. Shreya gave her a glass of water. "You know on my birthday... Anant left me 20 missed calls and I didn't answer any of them and he is really angry because he thinks that I am ignoring him!" she fell in Shreya's arms and cried. "But Navya why didn't you tell him that you were in hospital?" Anjali added. Navya looked up at them and said "He cut me off!" Navya cried again.
Anant was in his room and he couldn't stop thinking about Navya. He felt a little bad but then his anger got over him and he threw his alarm at the wall. "Why Navya? Why couldn't you spend a few minutes with me just on the phone? I wasn't asking for much!" Anant punched the wall. Navya sat on the sofa wrapped up in a blanket crying her eyes out. She wanted to ring Anant back but she was scared he may get even more angry. The day passed and the trio gathered in front of Navya. "Navya baby... we have something to tell you!" Navya looked up with her teary eyes confused. "Navya.. you are going to INDIA!" the three of them shouted happily. Navya was left speechless. "What?" Navya didn't know what to say to them. "Guys.. I dont want to go to India! I know me and Anant have had a fight but we can resolve it!" Navya was still thinking only of Anant. "Navya...we booked the tickets ages ago even before we found out that you and Anant had an argument!" Shreya added. Navya was still confused. "But why have you done it?" she questioned.
They sat near her and hugged her. "Because we couldn't give you the birthday you always wanted... we knew that you didn't want that party..your mind was elsewhere! Your mind was in Mumbai with your family, friends and Anant!" Anjali added. They hugged and formed a hug. "Oh please...ladies.. all the time you get emotional and hug and you never ever think about the time! Miss Mishra has a plane to catch..1) I am hungry, 2) She needs to pack, 3) I think I need to hire a Ferrari because she is gunna take forever and I dont think my car can travel that fast!" Anjali, Shraddha and Navya threw pillows at him and pulled him in for a hug. "Oh no not again!" Raj added. They all laughed and Navya couldn't stop laughing. "Thank you my Raju!" Navya pulled his cheek. "You are welcome Doc!" he smiled back. They all got together and got packing to get her off to India.
Navya was very excited.. she was going back to her country..her roots and her life. As much as she loved New York her heart was and always is going to be desi. The time flew by.. they had dinner and set off for the airport. Navya got a little emotional in the car on the way to the airport. Raj looked through his mirror and indicated her to stop crying. He understood her well but he wanted her to go with a smile. They reached the international airport and planes were flying away in the clouds. Navya looked up and felt a little better. Raj unloaded the car and put the luggage on a trolley. Anjali and Shreya already started crying. "Our baby g is leaving us... I cant wait till you are back baby! You are the mother to us what will we do without you!" Anjali said. Navya hugged them both. "Dont worry my babies... nothing will happen to you both and we have skype na? We can talk all the time.. I will introduce you to everyone in Mumbai!" Navya reassured them. They went inside the airport and that's when everyone started getting teary. Even Raj. She hugged all of them together and cried her eyes out. Her companions in New York were her life without them she wouldn't have got this success in her career. She wouldn't be the stronger individual that she is now. " I love you guys... I really do I dont know how you did all of this but you have made me the happiest girl in the world! Happiest! This is the best birthday present any girl could ever get from anyone!" she hugged them all again.
*Voice* *Flight to Mumbai on Air India 54657 is now checking in*
"Navya that's your flight... you need to check in now! Come on!" Raj said. He moved her trolley towards her. "Navya... you will be back na?" Raj asked. Navya looked at him. "Raju...you know that I will be back..what a silly question!" Navya hugged him tightly. " I will miss you mottu!" she giggled. Raj hugged her tightly. "Me too Navi!"
Anjali and Shreya hugged her tightly and let her go. "Take care baby and ring us when you get there okay?" Anjali shouted. She blew them a flying kiss and went on the route back to India. She checked in successfully and waited for her flight to arrive in 45 minutes. She had a long flight of around 16 hours but it bought her back to where she started her home. She sat in the plane and thought only about Mumbai, her family and Anant. She sat and watched TV and ate her food. But most importantly she slept for longer because she knew when she gets back to Mumbai she won't be able to rest.. she will want to do everything!
She sat in her seat thinking about Anant and she looked towards her left to see Anant sitting next to her. "Anant!" her eyes lit up seeing his smiling face. She cupped his cheek and he kissed her hand. " I love you Navya!" tears fell from her eyes and she smiled widely. Navya hugged Anant. "Excuse me maam!" the guy sitting next to her was some random person. She was seeing Anant. "I am so sorry!" she felt so embarassed and her heartbeat got faster. She decided to fall asleep and in that dream she only saw Anant. She dreamed about both of them on Juhu beach running around in the sand and throwing each other in the water. Her lips were plastered with a permanent smile through her sleep.
The flight passed and the plane was around 5 minutes away from landing. "Attention Air India flight 54657 is about to land... please remain seated and make sure your belts are securely fastened..Thank You" Navya shook as she heard the woman on the microphone. She rubbed her eyes and smiled as she could feel closer to home. She made sure she sorted her hair out and looked presentable. She sat back and felt the plane move towards landing. This was the most daunting part for her and she firmly closed her eyes chanting god's name in her mind.
The plane landed successfully and they were instructed to get their luggage and depart the plane. Navya's excitement increased and she felt overwhelmed to be back in her country. The door opened to the plane and she could see the beaming Mumbai sun creep through the gap. She went through the tunnel and then sorted out all the formalities of immigration and then got her luggage.
Navya's whole family were waiting for her apart from her Dadi who was at home to welcome her. Navya's eyes searched for her family and friends when she saw Appy and Ritz. Navya trailed her luggage and ran to the gate to see her family and friends. The smile on her lips was priceless. She had been re united with her family and her friends. "Navya!" Appy and Ritz shouted. She hugged them both really tighly. "Ey Dr Mishra... have you got time for us now? Or do we have to book an appointment?" Appy joked. Navya hit her arm playfully and she hugged them both again. Navya turned towards her parents and siblings and her eyes automatically got teary. Deepak put his arms out to welcome her. She ran into them like a baby and engrossed herself in the safest place in the world. " I love you Papa!" the first thing she said. "How are you beta? I love you too!" he kissed her forehead and caressed her for a few seconds. "Are you just going to hug your papa or do you not want to hug me?" Meeta felt a little jealous. "Maa!" she hugged her tightly and they both cried. "Navya..look at you..you haven't eaten anything at all, you have got so thin! From now on you are having desi ghee and no angrezi food!" Navya sulked.
"Ey bandariya.. tere bandar se nahin milengi!" Harsh shouted. Navya looked at him and hit him hard. "Come here!" she kissed him and gave him a hug. "I will take revenge soon dont worry!" Navya also hugged Renuka and kissed her. "Chalo guys.. lets get her home!" Harsh added. They all set off in the car back home and Navya was quiet in the car. Her eyes were watching everything in Mumbai.. she missed everything about this place. They got home and bought everything up. Their Dadi was waiting for Navya at the doorstep. "Navya beta!" Dadi was ecstatic to see her granddaughter after such a long time. "Dadi!" she hugged her tightly. Dadi did her aarti and gave her sweets. She hugged Dadi again. "Dadi... what's wrong? You look younger every time I see you.. you are going to the famous Rekha a run for her money!" Dadi got shy and hit her. "Naughty girl... dont talk like this infront of everyone! Only when we are alone!" she indicated. Everyone laughed.
Precap: Navya rings Anant. He doesn't pick up. She shares everything with Appy, Ritz and Shraddha about her and Anant. They decided to hatch a plan to make Navya and Anant meet.
