I don't care if Jagdish didn't want to go to see saanchi -- either because he didn't feel he was responsible ... or because he felt scared to go there...

No need to aggravate them if he is not wanted. He just requested his bapusa, who was already debating with his family on the topic, to go see her condition for the sake of humanity. I don't believe he asked them to fix things. 🤔

He did not take his family into confidence when he was breaking off with Sanchi and even after he did the deed he never bothered to explain to his family why he did that and now he wants his family to minimise the damage.

@persistence -- "fix things" means precisely that. Not fix them in a tangible way, but definitely going to see her for the sake of humanity means going and putting a salve of some sort on the relationship.

Yes he remembers now that bapusa can go instead of him. He makes a mess of the situation, never cares to talk to his family before taking such decisions but has the nerve to ask them to go instead of him while he sits in a different home with his 3rd new wife. What a pathetic character!

If jagiya would have married ganga six month ago the day when he realized he loves her and she is best match for him or if after knowing saachi intentions in restaurant if he would have ran to manglore and married ganga then it is wrong, but he went and explained girls parents, which is more important and taken all blame on him, he felt shiv and shekars are samajdhar and can think bit more wisely as they know their daughter more than him, but no use. Digusting shekars how could they think they have seen her for ages how rude and jidhi she is they are not able to convince her and expecting jagiya to play and treat her like a doll...why are they not thinking that what saachi said in the restaurant might be true because they know she could go to any extent to get things done in the way.

though DS feeling bad for not informing her before breaking the engagement, when first they brought the rishta jagiya was not 100% happy and he said he need to speak to anandi first, but everyone know who sumitra and DS stopped him for that does singhs does not feel that it is important for them to talk to Anandi before taking big decisions and leaving everything to jagiya instead of blaming him to satisfy sumitra ego...everyone know what is going to happen if he says that saachi is not changed they are going to force him just think about the situation now even though he is married they still want him to leave ganga and marry saachi after IRA and sumitra giving so many curse to ganga for breaking the engagement, but they want to break her marriage for their daughter sake. shekars and singhs are trying to use jagiyas weakness here by blackmailing him every time by saying you have cheated and spoiled 3 women life and you are always wrong and support saachi throughout their married life and according to them in future jagiya should take permission from saachi even for drinking water.
