VJ : today we have an 18 year old whom in a short amount of time has become the favourite daughter, sister, wife, bahu in the house throughout the country. At such a young age she has given stiff competition to seasoned actors in tellywood and is also known as the new tulsi of zee parivaar. This gujrati girl has eyes which speak a million words, on screen she may be playing a powerful character but is this who the real Prachi is like? VJ: er Prachi lets start with the message that you have and this is a member called Reema she says 'Hi Prachi im Reema your biggest fan, now im sure u have heard that many times before but I truly feel (Prachi giggles) that I connect with your acting more then any other person not only because we are both the same age and gujrati, btw Kemcho, (Prachi giggles and so does VJ) ok jokes apart I really admire your work I observe your acting very carefully and theres not an conscious effort I feel like you don't even have to move a limbto express wat you feel because your eyes do the job for you and as why you make Bani character soo believeable, you have lived an extremely well, and its really shocking when I see clips of you off screen you seem to be the total opposite of Bani people have asked me if your voice is actually dubbed because u sound even more intense on screen but I just reply 'No, shes simply a great actress' I would like to wish you all the success in the future and theres no one to stop u from climbing higher in the ladder of success thank you soo much for entertaining us on the TV screens with your presense stay down to earth as you are and God bless you lots of wishes Reema'

Prachi: Err Khabhi nahi socha tha I just have a dream to always be on television (Car honking again) you know er we as actors wether television wether actors in a movies whatever it was I always had a dream that I wanted to be an actress one day and actually achieveing init and er being liked by people er I cant tell you what a lovely feeling it is.
VJ: Ya I can guess that absolutely and it you know who apke awaz se who cheese jhalak thi hain khushi jhalak thi hain that you have by u knw of becoming er id say successful in the sense that you can and it shows

VJ : err tell me Prachi er MisAngelic waise bhi jaana chahathi hain ki how is it working with Ekta for one thing and the second thing is that we've also heard that when Ekta realised as to people love to watch you she took special interest on you in your clothes and jewellery so is this true?
Prachi: Erm let me tell you er Balaji is a 1st production house that I have EVER worked with I have not err been been on television er or worked with any production house so I was really scared u know freaking, not knowing how the tellywood would be and the 1st time I was working with working so I thought it was really tough and er difficult but er things were made so easy and lovly in this place I just cant tell u I think er balaji and I mean we have the best production house and er u know after working here erm I feel so content I think my dream has er come true its just fulfilled so I think its lovly working with her and er she is soo intelligent so talented I cant tell you erm (.) and ya yerrr if you ask me about my character how it became popular er and erm I dunno (car honking again) its just er its because of the whole simplicity that Bani had and er after that er its not that she just er personal interest in clothes and jewellery or the designing its because it has come popular all of a sudden but erm shes liked (car honking again) kasam se from the beginning and er ever since it started doing well she was very happy (honking) with the show so she took all lot of interest in the creativity not only for bani but for all the characters and erm ye but its Bani that was her favourite character
VJ: Ya (both giggle) yeh I think so, now Kasamh se mein Bani aur Jai ke beech kuch tension chal raha hai now sub jahna chahateh hai yeh tension kab katam hoga the member are dying to watch (prachi giggles) Bani and Jai together, so Seductive wants to know and aswell as Fizzwizz members want to know, as to why is everything going wrong with Bani and Pushkar in the whole drama and when you will b back together you and Jai?
Prachi: Err let me tell you even I am actually waiting to get back because shooting alone has become so really boring for me | VJ: laughs | Ram and me done shooting a lot but erm Giggles even I am hoping for them to come back together (honks) and erm let me tell you I will get this message to Ram also ekta they will b happy to know that they like our pair a lot haan erm I don't know when we will be getting back together but lets hope the story goes for well and er just like everybody wants us to get back together we do get back hmm and ask me why its happening, well it happens in every daily soap so

VJ: u know wat that is the whole problem like Ekta soaps I would say are popular or should I say unpopular in the way because the lead pair never gets to meet and that is something | Prachi : ya | everybody is scared of when they watch er an ekta kapoor serial so that is why there are very very worried that you've u knw er u and Jai are separated and finally there will be this 20 year leap you all white hair and Jai still not with you but u knw | Prachi :er| that's something |Prachi : NO NO NO NO I don't want that |

VJ: Infact another member from Canada PalkiPalak er she said 'you enetertain me everyday whether you and Ram are sweet talks or when trying to solve a mystery I just want to thank you for keeping me busy at 8.30 at Canada you and Ram make the best jodi, during the ITA you and Rajshree, got the fresh face award and you got the best jodi along with Ram when I was watching I was jumping up and saying my Prachi got two awards thank you soo much for inspiring me to be an (.) an TV actor and if you ever come to Canada for a show you will see me in the front room' That is PalkiPalak from Canada.
Prachi: (Giggles) thank you soo much er its quite exciting to know that you also (Car again!) you were exited about the awards er let me tell u RAM and we were most unexpected cuz er I er I hope you remember what Ram said on stage its not the best couple it's the best odd couple being soo young and he (Giggles so does VJ) but I think that's what he working its is er cute best erm I hope you keep writing to us and I think ill convey your message to Ram for sure and lets hope you can get in touch with him too (Car!)
VJ: oh yes absolutely yeh I mean we all ADORE Ram (Prachi giggles VJ inaudable) given time and that guy he is so wonderful he'll he'll go like ah you know what Prachi I have called him between shoots and he has responded every time and wenver |Prachi: Oh my god| yes yes I mean can you belive it he has actually recorded with me at 4 in the morning (.) VJ: SO ok infact you know you have won hearts of people living in not only in India but in I mean all people across the world so kuch log jahan na chahathe hain ke aap world tour kab jar rahe ho?
Prachi: OH (giggles in shock) erm that's that's just another dream so erm I hope I get a chance to do it as soon as I can but the problem is is if I go for a world tour then er probably you guys will have to miss Bani on Kasam se for a month | VJ: Maybe Bani can also go on world tour | (Both giggle)
Prachi: YA! Yeh yeh lets hope and try erm but er Kasamh se is very meaning for Bani I cant but er when I have time I hope I can and er lets hope I can meet ALL my fans when I go for a world tour whenever I go er hum yeh
VJ: (you can tell shes smiling) so er now er talking about er people across the world this is Rooj from US saying 'Dear Prachi love your acting love your smile both of them are down to earth and natural and amazinghow naturally you perform I must tell you even my mum is amazed by you and that is something because she loves good actors like Rekha I just defiantly love you I just I just wish that I could act like you I bet you had lots of fun doing all the cute scenes with Ram (1.0) (Prachi giggles) aww very sweet..
Prachi: (Car honking) thank you soo much for your compliments and er yeh Ram and me both have had lots of fun doing scenes together because er I must tell you once the camera is NOT rolling once it's a cut we both burst out laughing at each other thinking of how funny it was you know er looking at eachother romantically and you know the presense other wise we are the total opposite he keeps on teasing me and making fun of me all the time all day long because hes so mischeivious seems like a small child and er (VJ giggles) he gets along with me so wel so and yeh its true we have so much of fun and right now shooting alone im really missing him lets hope we get back to shooting like that again (nervous laugh)
VJ: so sweet and er infact prachi tell me you started very young on Kasam se and you playing a mature role | Prachi : yeh | er its obvious that it must have been a little difficult but wiv Ram Kapoor is the opposing (VJ pronounced it wrong) roles hes a mature actor and he looks mature and theres a certain kind of aura around him and about him which is not really it makes him look not very approachable so what was it like when you started shooting with him or when you first met him how was it like?
Prachi: mm ok let me tell you when I started really young erm they told me about my character being the eldest sister that was all that I knew in the beginning and er they had paired me up with Pushkar that time er I was finding myself like Oh my god how will I b playing the eldest sister cuz the other two girls roshni and arunima are playing the two sisters they are very sweet to me er but er on the acting part of it er I was playing the eldest sister that is ten years elder to me (VJ laughs) and I was like Oh my God how will I do it er it happened (VJ tries to talk) and it happened quite smoothly but er all of a sudden they was er one line track change you know that now Bani will get married to Jai Walia and and oh my god I was so sc.. so thrilled I cant tell you (VJ laughs) I er ee it was such a shock for one day I didn't know wat to do cuz I was wondering how will I play a wife ok I have played an elder sister and I have er done it but how will I er der play a wife like that and to an elder man and I was so nervous about it but let me tell you today whatever I am erm on the acting part of it I I give 99% of the credit to Ram and er Ashwini on stage the other jigyasa I must tell you they have helped me out so much and theres so much ive learnt from Ram and Ashwini and er oh my god (Car honking makes it hard to understand) Ram wasn't there I don't think I would've ever be able to play the character so well, he was so supportive and encouraging about everything and he er such a mind blowing actor when you look at him its just keep looking how he acts er and I think you can see it on screen so (slight giggle) so |VJ: yeh that's true| hes a great help
VJ: er Prachi you know what like er you just said that if it was one night track change so when you actually started Kasam se it was not supposed to be Bani and Jai Walia you mean it happened in the midway of the storyline?
Prachi: Yeh true midway well originally the story was er (something she said was not audible) it was the scene in Jai walias house but Bani loved Pushkar and Pushkar loved Pia so after they get married Pia gets married to JAI and er Bani gets Pushkar but er all of a sudden when things didn't work out erm sudden liking jai as pushkar in the beginning and er then he became more fond of Jai then Pushkar and er people wanted I didn't know the word erm not happy with Pia getting married it to Jai all of a sudden all the cameras(think she means creatives) decided you know what we'll get Bani married to Jai so I was so scared I cant tell you | VJ: laughs |
VJ: yeh that is I mean im not im not I didn't follow Kasam se from the beginning im not sure how much er er members I don't know that but that's a good realation | Prachi: Oh ok | and a very interesting one because erm it sumtimes er MOST of the times when a jodi gets popular its its kind of etched out from the beginning that this this this is going to happen and you know | Prachi: ya that's true | and try to make this pair very popular and her (Prachi giggles) and so so many promotions | Prachi : ya | and you are saying you're pair actually came over night and won the best jodi award (PRachi laughs)
Prachi: it was so unexpected it was like one of the most thrilling er things that's happened er it was so unexpected it was always Bani Pushkar Bani Pushkar Bani Pushkar then suddenly it became Bani and Jai and er it its so thrilling that I actually liked it
VJ: Yes absolutely erm ok erm (Prachi clears her throat) strawberry007 wants to know who do you think is you biggest er competitor (VJ pronounced it wrong) make or female in the television industry and y and she also wants to know who is you idol and she also hopes to see you in bollywood because she thinks that you would be wonderful there because you are doing an tremendous job in television so there was a message in there aswell as a question which is kind of naughty and and a question which was nice so..
Prachi: ok erm thank you soo much and erm its nice to know you want to see me in Bollywood too cuz er let me tell you when I was very young that if time I was loved watching TV AND films and on TV I used to love watching Balaji shows and all other soaps and in television I loved priety you know the bubbly Preity Zinta erm now er for competition erm I wanna say one thing it somes true from the heart its erm wether you take it up as competition with others characters then it never stops it never ends because erm competition can be u knw a a a actually not only with others but with yourself too cuz however well you may perform er one doesn't actually feel satified or you know er the its not like ranking nad marks that you get in in school. In school you feel easy to answer the questions and you can get it but here its so tough because its erm not like a one day one year job or you know one show job so you get TRPs EVERY week depends upon each day each minute each scene performance so you know you have live up to it and you have to perform well erm so competition is always around you know whether it's a small role or small artists a small reciping artists er just because I am playing Bani the lead protagonist so it doesn't mean that I only have competition with the other leads its also I have competition with any other actor whos playing a small role also and of course with myself also because just because er I only have done well in one or two episodes that doesn't mean now I can get away with it in the others I have to keep performing well you know competition EVERY where all over (slight giggle) all the time

Prachi: thank you so much er wells its erm well it may not have been in me all the time but let me tell you after coming here I have learnt so much that I u know because over here wether your 18 years old whether your 20 or whether your 40 you know your not in a shool where your age by age here everyone around is much elder to me and they've taught me so much you knw that if I actually want to do well and continue doint well then I also have to do something then behave in someways you know according to them er not like an 18 year old I er I have to actually its because I have elder people around me and er of course most of the credit goes to Ram for teaching me so many things, before I was such a child and I use crumble that I didn't want to work so long and I didn't want to work for so many hours in school I had so little to do | VJ: chuckles | and now I have so much to do but you know that's how ive learnt that if I don't do it then I wont get what I want and now im getting what I want im really happy and that | VJ: yeh we are | and that is something…

Prachi: its excites me you know when someone talks about school or college cuz I don't get it here | VJ: chuckles | I MISS IT!
VJ: you miss it so are you still in touch with your friends?
Prachi: erm with some of my friends I am in touch but some of them I have lost touch really beacsue you know I don't have much time as much as I used to get to hang out with them er when ever we get time we do er mail each other and sumtimes rarely but sometimes we talk to eachother so its not that I have forgotten them at all they also know I do remember them they even they love me lot and erm its just the little lack of time otherwise er everythings changed
VJ: hmm.. rite so what about studies like 18 you were hardly out of what er inter intermedia college?
Prachi: giggles yeh I was in the 12th standard er I was actually 16 when I auditioned for this role and er I had actally cheated don't tell anybody I wrote the worng dates and I wrote I was 17 or 18 I cant remember I got called in for an audition and when I came in in weeks time I came to Mumbai and lucky I just had my birthday then so I turned 17 and after I er not ive completed one year of shooting I have become 18 so I feel legally big |VJ laughs |
VJ: so what about studies? I mean are you goin to continue or… is there any plans or what would you be, say if you were not an actress
Prachi: ok erm finishing school it was er you know it was just like a craze to be on television or whatever media but to be an actress at first I was like let me think you know er I would have to study and er I couldn't just get into it I had to do my (somit inaudiable) if noe acting then then through some way I would er try my luck out at mark communication er become an air hostess or something like that try and luck in television or er TV but er after getting into 11th and 12th I took up art and er one day I started studying there and psychology interested me a lot so I thought erm before I would become an actress er do psychology because I really love the subject but NOW forget psychology now theres only time to remembering dialogues | VJ laughs |

VJ: laughs ok theek hai now your 1st crush was Kunal Kemu now these |Prachi: Sorry| they say your 1st crush was Kunal khemu is that true?
Prachi giggles: er that's not actually true er Kunal Khemu was the first crush after I came here because his film was just going on Kalyug but before that in school my 1st crush was Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Rampal and to add to the list it was John
VJ laughs: so how would you react if you meet them and say tomorrow you sign a film against Shahid Kapoor or John Abraham or someone nice
Prachi: let me tell you I would be very very very excited erm not as much if I wanst over here e rim so used to it nad so used to doing it and now it wont excite me as much cuz erm so many people keep asking me 'My god how is it working with Ram?' 'hes so hot' 'hes that' and I have no answer to it, so I just want to tell them that sorry its quite normal because we see each other everyday and its not as exciting you know it would be a lot of fun er not as much as it would have been for our fans you know
VJ: yes yes yes I absolutely understand what you are trying to say and I belive that it is beautifully told. Now Prachi you were a colour what colour would she be?
Prachi: ER most of the people here (can hear phone ringing!) they this Pink because they see me all the time in pink and if you see my soft toys are also pink erm but er otherwise I love the clour blue and and the shades of blue and pink and black also yeh!
VJ: so most of all you would be blue right?

Erm im really sorry but you know the truth is I don't watch television much, so I don't know much but before when I used to watch televison there were many serials and er one of the latest I could think of is of course I loved all the shows but one of the latest was Aroona Irani's show muskaan I really loved that show
VJ: ok now erm if you had to make a choice Tulsi or parvati
Prachi: ere erm oh my god, (both giggle) er ok let me tell you when kyunki started er it was er Tulsi and recently I have not been watching Kyunki but I have got a chance to watch kahaani because there is a new young generation which really excites me so right now its Parvati because im watching Kahaani these days and er before it was Tulsi yeh… Both of them actually
VJ: ok now erm with memories come embarassements so care to tell us anything that was embarrassing to you on the sets er on any day that you been on sets so far?
Prachi: giggles let me tell you each day there is always something embarrassing happening er (giggles) so there has been so many incidences er there is a very romantic scene going on all of a sudden you fall down and there is no reaction that you can give to it or to anybody and you just bump and you fall down somewhere, but er yeh there is something happening everyday yeh let me tell you the most embaraasing is everyday Ram comes to the sets and he er says hi to everybody and before he can call me hi she calls me dukar and that's a pig and its really emabrassing (both giggle)
VJ: he calls you what im so sorry
Prachi: A PIG!
VJ: oh ok
Prachi: its either a Pig, or monkey or some other animal that he keeps calling me it is really embarrassing

Prachi: before when I used to have a lot of time, like these days im really busy but initially when this show started I had time and I took run to the office and check India-forums when theres a Jai and Bani track was not yet er developed it was Pushkar and bani and there were lovly responses about it but now on india-forums its beacsue all the people used to be excited about Kasamh se and they used to think that ranvir and Bani will get together and Pia and er Jai will get together and it used to b exciting reading everyone views I don't get time, but let me tell you I love India-forums and I think its such a great idea to get all the people together who watch this show you know
VJ: and its sooooo exciting to here that you guys actually follow the rubbish we write half the time

Prachi: actually more then that I think I find it too sweet you know cuz even we knowing about what people think of us because working so hard at the end of the day you know er the best feeling is when people love us you know that's really sweet if you
VJ: ok tell me Prachi now that you come here, how does It feel when you read critism when someone is really nasty there are people and there are times they are really bad and they write bad things, sometimes personal sometimes others you are playing, how do you deal with that?
Prachi: erm see as a viewer I will tell you as crazy as I used to watch television more then the characters or artists that I like its e rim sorry I shouldn't be saying this but I used to criticize them and you know even today after knowing there are many people who are very fond of Bani and Kasamh se and jai bani and everything I then know that so many people have may not be liking the pair or they may think there is something wrong about the character or storyline and I know it for sure even I was one of them I used to criticize so I er just take it up positively thinking if they really don't like us there is something about it I try you know at sometimes when somebody says or mentions something that they don't like then you know you can see it and correct it er do better not er something flattering you about your performances if it really wasn't good then its great that somebody actually comes up with the idea no it wasn't good so you can make it better next time so I take it very positively, keeping in mind I too was a viewer one time and I used to critacize A LOT
VJ: that's a fantatic answer and you know that also gives us a lot of ancouragement to go on
Prachi: let me tell you all my critics are so I love them as much as I love my fans because at the end of the day mmm two sides of the coins nah so
VJ: absolutely tell us let me be curious and ask you does Ekta Kapoor ever follow er what we write on India-forums have you ever found out about that?
Prachi: er yah when a lot she doesn't get the time to actually and personally sit down and check the views and the mails and that but er there are people er that when we have convosations er in the office also let me tell you one thing all your reviews and your er opinions are so important because everyday there is a creative meeting about the show nad about Kasamh se and the writers actually check that the people are liking it er or not so according to the likes and dislikes they plan the storyline so its so important you know to actually um have reviews about our show because they do check and even ekta does er people tell her you know there is a current review going on er this is what people have liked and so many times even Ram comes and shows us some of the mail, so its true all of us follow it, ALL OF US
VJ: that's wonderful you know what we have a feature erm on our er um forum its called Chaska meter its something like TRPs but its like a direct feedback of the members from all over the world and they actually judge the episodes its like er week by week and every week the episodes are judged on the content and the stiryline and how believable it was and how the acting was and everything and marks are given 1-10 and its very popular feature so maybe you could check that out aswell and that will also gove you in short what exactly is going on

Ok let me tell you its early morning here, its like about 9 about 9.45 here and er when you er called me I was leaving for shooting throughout my way I have only spoken to you let me tell you you have really made my day, in the morning I was feeling a little unwell and I I was feeling bad couldn't go to shooting like bunk, like I used to bunk school and now you've made my day so well that im exicted about shooting and I hope today all my scenes I do well and I perform, thank you soo much you have made my day
