Shlok wants revenge ...for sure...thats the note on which story started.
possible reasons : ( for NA) he need Kirloskars help in winning land contracts and second reason: Shloks determination to settle the media fiasco insult of his dad by playing a ruthless personal game of emotions with Astha and hit her when she is most vulnerable and leave her with open wounds that make her suffer for long ...and make her go through the same public humilation which he went through...at this point i presume that its just Shloks revenge ... NA isnt aware of anything.
added incentive is Anjali who doesnt want Astha to be near her son and Shlok wants what she doesnt like.
so he has woven a web like a spider...the yarn is sticky but very strong. the pretence of love will be fascinating for a young girl to fall for him who is just out of her teens and carry her heart on her face...once she steps on it there is no way out for her...only spider can release its prey from the web... to his own advantage.
Spider (Shlok) move very quickly and efficiently around his web and he doesnt get caught in his own stickiness because he is very careful while walking so that he doesnt get caught himself...for that he cleans his legs regularly of any silk ( read Love) or other debris which might cause him to get stuck...
Shlok is playing the game very carefully ...cleansing himself daily of all the emotions and apprehensions..reminding himself of his mission and not to deviate from it...when the inner fight is tough he need to drown it with a drink...he has tasted love before and had recovered from it and now standing strong in his life (He said this to his Aye)..so he thinks if he can overcome his first unfulfilled love then all other feelings can be tamed by him...he feels/clenches his hand /looses control of his senses /mesmerised and feel guilt in her presence and what he is doing to her..but clever boy doesnt forget to flush everything out of his system instantly ... so what he feels for her cant hold him back ...he is not on mission love...his ego has to be fed with her insult ..but once he get that then what ?
I have no idea how Cvs have planned to end this mission revenge..but when it ends..
Shlok will be one total emotionally wreck person, he will be anxious and become desperate for Astha and will crave for her like a drug addict. to get her love will become his only goal in life and his own guilt will make him die every second of his existence...
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and Shlok is gonna miss Astha , her tender touch, her divine beauty, her innocence,, her concern for him, her existence in his surroundings and he will go to any length to make those eyes full of love again so he can stay in them forever.
But its a long journey and we are here to witness the hate - revenge - Love saga.
