Dev is scared whether she ll go bk to maan, isnt he? now that makes me lil happy...maans stance is neither helping...each one of them has something hidden within themselves... it is getting more n more complicated...loving it more😊 thanku for updating...

I see an emerging pattern of concerns about Geet's current state of mind with Dev, and her eventual state of mind if she were go back to Maan.

So my question is, which brother would be more damaging for Geet to be with once the truth was revealed - and why?

(P.S. should I make the questions a regular thing, for example after every update I post a question for people to mull over? Or do you prefer just updates instead?)

I will answer to your PS first. I think a question after every update will keep my interest high and my mind working on the story. Though I'm not good at guessing mysteries, I still like to mull over and the questions keep me doing just that. 😊

Hmm... Geet has come a long way from being the girl who was in love with Maan. The person she is at the moment adores her husband. So have Dev and Maan changed over the course of time, and it's difficult to say who would be more damaging a choice for her. Since we do not know the truth and we cannot say what actually happened for her to lose her memory or if Dev is the one to be blamed (I'm assuming he is!), there is nothing concrete yet. Obviously, when the truth is revealed and Dev (assumption again) is found guilty of Geet's condition, she won't choose him over Maan but she might not choose Maan either.

In the end, it all depends on the truth from each of their points of view which will eventually make Geet's choice for her.

It hurts... but still there is a weird pleasure in loving someone who doesn't love u...

Maan's love and his relectunace ... his remorse... his care... and geet's ... is it pain ?? Or hurt???

Pain and hurt are different...

Catching up on two of the previous updates..

The questions too...

I think Geet does not know much about Maan.. There may be an image here or a scene here in her mind but she has not tied it. Based on her character so far it does seem like she would not appear to be unaffected if she had a clue.

The brothers are different .. in their need for her. One would be like the mother in Zarin's coment.. giving up rather than hurting. For some reason I can see Dev doing that... he is already burdened by his conscience. He would do such a thing to look like he was the good guy.. just to get back at Maan for the last time.

Chapter 12 - Na Nind Naina

Sleepless Eyes...

Once the blanket of the night had nestled its place into the sky, Maan threw back his blanket and sat upright on the couch.

Cracking open one of the windows, for he was too cold to brave the open air, he took a few much needed inhalations of tobacco and then made his way to the kitchen.

What started as a task for a glass of water turned into curiosity as he came across a white envelope that shone through a half opened drawer.

He pulled it out, inspecting its contents. There was a photograph of a water fountain, the shadow of someone, and then a scrap piece of paper.

One side was blank, but he was taken aback when the other side read the name of a medical pill. One he was all too familiar with.

A new dawn rose which led to Dev to work, Geet on the weekly shop and Maan home alone, as usual.

Not being able to resist temptation, he crept into her studio. The room was simply her; nothing but beauty surrounded him.

But he saw nothing else as his unfinished portrait looked him in the eye. He must have stared for what seemed like an eternity, for when the lock in the door turned he bolted out of the room and into the bathroom.

Hearing Geet shuffling around downstairs, he threw cold water onto his face and looked at himself hard in the mirror. Whatever doubts and hesitations he had pondered over last night upon the discovery dissolved away now. If he lived, he lived for her. And if he was now summoned to a battle, it would be only and only for her.
