Sandhya was in her house. They were now in Jaipur where Sandhya was posted as ACP. Sooraj now had 10-15 shops across Rajasthan. He had managed to open shops via franchise mode and since many requests came to him to open more shops Sooraj had to keep travelling across length and breadth of Rajasthan. Bhabo and Babasa were with them and SURYA's 2 yr old baby girl Akshara kept them busy throughout. Today Sandhya was alone. Bhabo-Bhabasa had gone to gaav to attend some relative's wedding , Sooraj had not returned from his tour though he was supposed to come that day and Akshara was in sound sleep in the cradle.
Then the butler came and told Sandhya. Madamji koi aapse milne aaya hai. Kahti hai naam Kavitha hai. Kahdu tho andar bech doon ( Madam someone has come to meet you. Says her name is Kavitha. Shall I send her inside)
Sandhya tried to remember the name. Then she went to the door. A woman was standing with a 7 year old boy. Then she remembered. It was Kavitha. The lady who was repeatedly abused by her drunkard husband. It was her son who had once came running to the station crying and telling he can no longer see his mommy beaten up by his pappa. Sandhya and her team had gone with the boy to one of the posh areas of Jaipur, where they found Kavitha unconscious and bleeding all over. The lady was shifted to the hospital and a prima facie case was filed against her husband who was a lawyer himself.
It was a long drawn process as the lawyer tried everything in the book to circumvent the case. It was Sandhya's persistence and the boy's words on the witness stand that finally gave the verdict in Kavitha's favour sending her husband to jail for domestic violence.
Now Kavitha stood there with a box of sweets and the boy rushed to Sandhya and held her arm. Sandhya invited both of them inside. She asked them to sit and asked butler to prepare tea for everyone.
Kavitha spoke " Sandhya Madam aaj aapki vajah se mujhe azadi mili hai. Main tho ladthe ladthe tak gayi thi, par apne mujhe ghosla diya aur aaj mein apne bete ko ek achi zindagi de sakthi hoon"( Sandhya Madam today because of you I got this freedom. I was tired fighting , but you gave me courage to fight and today I can hope to give my son a better life)
Sandhya told " Kavitha tumhe shukriya mujhe nahi balki apne bete ko adha karna chahiye jisne hamare pass aakar sach bataya. Tum khush kismat ho. Jo tume itna acha beta mila jho apni ma se bahut pyaar kartha hain( Kavitha you should thank your son who bought the truth in front of us. You are very lucky to get such a son who loves his mother very much)
She saw the boy give a wide grin. Then she heard Akshara's cries. Akshara's nani was holding her. Sandhya went and took Akshara and came back.
Meanwhile the butler bought tea and snacks.
Kavitha remarked " Madam aapki beti bahut pyaari hai ".( Madam your daughter is very cute)
Sandhya smiled " Ji bilkul apne papa pe gayi hai (yaa, she has taken after her father)
Kavitha asked " apke Pati kahi nahi dikhayi de rahe hain. Woh yahan nahi hain( Your husband is not here or what)
Before Sandhya could reply Akshara started wriggling out of her arms. Sandhya tried to hold Akshara then noticed she was looking towards the door. She looked towards the door and saw Sooraj standing there with a wide grin and open arms. She left Akshara as the girl took her baby steps towards the waiting arms of her father. Sooraj scooped her up and came towards where Sandhya was waiting with Kavitha.
" Kavitha ye mere pati hain. Sooraj Rathi "( Kavitha this is my husband Sooraj Rathi)
Kavitha stared at Sooraj and Sooraj also stared at her in bewilderement. Sandhya was perplexed.
Then Sooraj excused himself and went inside with Akshara.
Sandhya looked at Kavitha. She somehow felt a drop of tear in Kavitha's eyes. Kavitha told " Sandhya madam mein chalti hoon. Phir ek bar aapka bahut sukriya. Ye tho sach hai ki heere ki parakh jowri hi jaanta hai( Sandhya madam I am going. Once again a big thank you. It is a fact that the value of the diamond is only known to a seasoned jeweller.)
Sandhya was still perplexed. Then it stuck her. Sandhya stopped Kavitha " Sukriya tho mujhe aapka ada karna hai Kavithaji. Meri zindagi tho aapke karan sawari hai. Aur iske aage jo maine kiya woh kuch bhi nahi hain( I should be telling you Thank you Kavithaji. It was because of you I got this life. Compared to this whatever I did for you was nothing)
As both woman stared at each other both understood well the meaning of their words and Kavitha walked out while Sandhya walked in to join her husband and daughter.
