I started writing an OS but then it became too long so will split it in to two parts. It's a bit miserable, but I suppose being in a miserable mood whilst you write doesn't always help lol. Please let me know what you think. I just made up the title as couldn't think of anything else to call it.
Can you teach one to breathe? No, you can't it's an innate ability something you are born with, a skill for survival.
Can you teach someone to live without the one you love, that one person who becomes your mere reason for existence, the one who gives your life a true meaning. Probably not, as the meaning of love for me will not be the same as it is for you.
The human heart may just be a physical organ that resides inside the body, it's function quite simple, to pump and keep you alive, but if you go beyond its physical capabilities it is something that holds more emotions than a night sky filled with stars, it's depth is deeper than deepest ocean known to mankind. When it loves, it loves like no other and when it shatters, it shatters into fragments you could spend your entire life piecing together and will always look like you never begun.
You can not describe love as it is an emotion that exists within, what you can do is show how deep rooted it is through the smallest gestures. And it was through these small acts of faith, of trust and affection that brought Asad and Zoya together. Their time together may have been short lived but it was all they needed to prove to one another that beyond them there was no life.
It took them a long time to reach a point where they were openly able to declare their love it for one another, where they were able to hold one another close without having to think about what they were doing. Asad and Zoya's world was very small, one that had everything they could ever have dreamed of but like with all great love stories tragedy was ready waiting for them.
Day three of officially being Mrs Asad Ahmed Khan, the feeling of waking up in the warm arms of the man you love more than your own life was indescribable. Asad woke up to the most angelic face, he lowered his head and kissed her gently on her forehead 'you finally awake' she said smiling 'did I wake you?' Zoya wrapped her free arm around his finely sculpted torso 'nope, have been awake for ages, but was too comfortable to move' 'Mrs Zoya Khan as much as I would love to spend the rest of the day lying in bed, I really do need to get up' Zoya started to pout 'what kind of a husband leaves his wife three days after having said qubool hai and that too for a whole week?' Asad sat up he took Zoya's face in the palm of his hand 'the kind of husband that wants to give his beautiful wife the best of everything' with that he placed a soft kiss on her lips 'I promise I will be back as soon as I can, and then I'll fly you off to anywhere you want to go'.
Asad bid farewell to Dilshad and Najma, Zoya walked him to the car 'you can be so stubborn, at least let me come to the airport with you' 'Zoya its a long drive, and look at the weather, you will just get caught up, you rest, I will call you as soon as I check in...' Zoya hugged Asad as hard as she could 'I love you' 'I love you too, be good' Asad kissed his wife one more time before he got into the car. Zoya walked in looking lost, Dilshad put her arms around her 'don't be sad beta, he will be back before you know it, and just think in all this time you can help Najma get ready for her engagement' 'I know phoopi, I just...' 'Love him more than anything and can't live without him' Dilshad said making Zoya blush 'Phoopi' she said before she ran off looking embarrassed.
Zoya finished tidying her room...correction their room, Najma helped her hang up her remaining clothes 'Najma what time is it? Asad still hasn't called' Najma passed Zoya's phone to her 'why don't you call bhaijaan, I think his flight is due to take off soon' Zoya took the phone from Najma and dialled Asad's number but there was no answer Zoya looked worried 'Zoya, bhaijaan is probably still checking in, the minute he sees your missed call he will call you back'.
To keep her mind off Asad Zoya went to sit with Dilshad who was watching the news. Every channel they turned to was flashing images of the damage the sudden downpour had created, in some areas torrential rain has caused flash floods and even mud slides. 'Zoya they have just said that a number of flights have been cancelled, maybe Asad's has too' Zoya called the airport to confirm and as soon as they said the flight had been cancelled Zoya let out a sigh if relief. 'Phoopi, Asad's flight has been cancelled, Asad must be stuck at the airport, let me try calling again' Zoya dialled Asad's number, but this time instead of ringing it went straight to voice mail 'Ya Allah, what is wrong with you Mr Khan, just one phone call...please'. Hour after hour passed, the sun had set and still there was no news of Asad.
Panic started to settle in the women at Khan Villa. When Najma told Zoya that Asad had not checked in a new emotion started to trickle its way down to the pit of her stomach, and it was fear, Zoya started to become more than just panicked 'I need to go and find him...what if he is stuck, in trouble, what if he needs our help' it took Dilshad and Najma all their physical strength to shop Zoya 'Zoya, have you gone crazy, just look outside, where will you go, how will you go, beta I know you are worried, so are we but we have to be rational, I can't let you go...Najma call the police station, maybe they can assist' Najma wiped her tears away and called the local police station.
Najma's eyes overflowed with fresh tears 'wh...what did the police say?' Dilshad asked, the fear that was clearly showing on Najma's face panicked her beyond belief 'Amm...Ammi there was a major accident caused by a large mudslide, it was along the same route bhaijaan took towards the airport' Zoya fell to her knees upon hearing what Najma had just said, she looked at her phone she was clutching 'please...Asad call...please let me know you are ok...' Zoya looked up 'Ya Allah, please don't test me like this, bring him back...I beg you' Zoya completely broke down, the screams in her cry for Asad pierced through Najma and Dilshad's heart. They could just about get a grip of themselves how were they going to console her?
