Astha receives a call from her father who asks her if she has reached Kolhapur safely. When she tells him that she is in a hotel he asks her to hand over the phone to Shlok.

Take care of her

Avdhoot requests Shlok to take care of Astha. He tells Shlok that generally his daughter is a sensible girl but she tends to be emotional in some situations. Astha takes the phone and reassures her father of her safety.

Kalindi tells Avdhoot about the nasty call by Anjali. Hearing this, Avdhoot decides to call Niranjan about Anjali's grudges. As they discuss Kalindi snaps back that they cannot say anything to Niranjan as their daughter is with Shlok and they can't keep the wagging tongues under control. Kalindi tells her husband that she detests it if Astha is blamed for anything regarding Shlok.

Shlok tries to open the door of his room and realizes that it is locked. Astha starts to scream as she is petrified that they may have to spend the night in the same room. In the commotion, she stumbles and falls right into Shlok's arms.

Is Shlok upto something?

Wowe!Wowe! A moment of pure romance greets our eyes as they hesitatingly step apart. Why has Shlok got a weird look on his face and why is he not reacting? After a while Shlok picks up the phone and suddenly the light snaps away. Astha loses her dupatta and yells that she is petrified of the darkness and that he should light the candle lying near the table. A sigh of relief escapes Astha's mouth as he lights the candle. In a state of sheer confusion, Astha looks at him with fear-filled eyes trying to cover her modesty.

Shlok picks up her stole and comes close. He covers her from the back with her dupatta handing it over to her and tells her not to feel scared. He asks her for her phone and tells her that he will speak to the manager of the hotel. After talking on the phone, he tells her that the staff is missing and the lights cut out till morning.

In a panicky state Astha starts to lose control as she begs him to take her home. He asks her to sit down as he sits nearby. Their shoulders touch and they sit close staring at each other. Astha still looks at him with terror in her eyes and he stands up to get away from her. He hands her over the "Devi ma" saree to wear and insists that her modesty is more important than anything else. He tells her that a new sari will be purchased for the goddess.

Emotional upheaval

Emotions run high and there is an iota of weirdness in the atmosphere. Shlok looks at Astha and hands her the candle as she looks on at him with insecurity shining through her eyes.

He lights another candle as she goes in to change her clothes. While he removes the window drapes he sees her creep from behind him in a saree. He stares at her enamored and hesitatingly approaches her. Shlok does not realize that his hands are burning with the candle wax as he stares at her.

She scolds him and wipes his hands free of the scorching wax as she blows on them. In a minute the calm and composed Shlok tightly grips her hands and squeezes them as he remembers someone else. He is plagued with memories of the past and he breaks Astha's bangles yelling out that she purposely comes near him and forces him to get angry.

Astha squirms in pain as she nurses her hurt hands and berates him for her broken bangles. He yells at her to get lost as she snaps back calling him a "Rakshas" or crazy demon. She calls him a pompous and ill-mannered man who is basically inconsiderate and crazy. She tells him that she would stay away from him at all costs if she could and asks her to seal the lips!
