I humbly request all of you to not copy paste my posts (wholly or in parts) elsewhere without giving credit. In fact, not just my post, if you copy paste stuff from anywhere, it is common courtesy to give credit to the person who wrote it. I am not against sharing posts on FB/else where, but please do give credit, because it takes lots of time and effort to come up with a post such as this.
Okay, so before I begin my rant, let me remind all of you: Please continue tweeting to the channel and PH and tell them how Antara-Satya marriage is a bad idea, and that it will only cause them to lose viewers, and that it will ruin this beautiful love story. Of love, confessions and confrontations
Before we got segments on confession, I had thought that Raghu's realization would be more gradual, and the confession would come much later, probably after Satya's exit from the story. And when I first heard about the forthcoming confession, I admit I was very surprised and a bit unnerved, but the more I think of it, the more I am convinced it is a good idea, and a good turn in the story. These thoughts have been going around in my head since a couple of days now, and it is driving me crazy, so I thought I should pen them down and get it out of my system.
I had thought Raghu's realization and confession would be slower, and for a while I had my doubts whether the CVs are rushing it a little. However, now I think it all makes sense. We all know, Raghu is madly in love with Antara, and he only needs a little external thrust to realize it. How that comes, we are yet to see. And we know Raghu is not a person who will hide his feelings. He's a go-getter and he'll pursue his love when he realizes it. So, now I don't think the confession is rushed.
Why I think the confession right now is a good idea?
A confession right now means Raghu and Antara, and we as viewers, are sure about their feelings, even before Satya entry. I have always dreaded that once Satya enters & Raghu comes to know of Satya's feelings for Antara, he might decide to play the thyag ki moorti, what with all the ehsaan crap DM has been feeding him since childhood. We have had enough of leads sacrificing their love for less deserving people, and also, these days, people seem to have very less patience when it comes to soaps. This track could have resulted in the loss of a fraction of viewers, resulting in lower trps, and as we know, no show is safe on Life OK, with their syndrome of axing shows left, right and centre.
Even if DM plays her trump card now, and Antara thinks Raghu responsible for her father's death, I don't see how a girl like Antara will agree to marry Satya, unless she is blackmailed. Blackmail means Antara will then know DM is not at all doodh ki dhuli-- because Antara is no fool, and her values are quite intact-- she will know that a person who resorts to blackmailing someone to fulfill their wishes can never be all good.
Now, even if Antara wants to hate Raghu, she will never be able to truly hate him, and we'll get to see some intense internal conflict within her. On one side is the man who caused her father's death, and on the other side, is the love of her life, the man who completes her, who has been her pillar of support in the darkest of times. Unfortunately for her, both are the same person. There is lot of angst here, and it is going to be a test of her love, and of course, it might take time for her, but she will pass it with flying colours.
As for Raghu: Raghunath Naik before Antara entered his life would never have stood up for himself in front of DM and Satya, that much we all know now. However, after the confession, he will now have a love to fight for, a girl who he loves even more than himself, who he has promised his love and support for a lifetime. And as we know, Raghu doesn't break promises. For him, on one side is the woman who took him in from the streets and raised him, and on the other, is the girl who he loves and who he knows loves him back unconditionally. It is his test of choice between his ehsaan and his love. And when he sees that the life he lived until Antara's entry was a faux, he won't blink an eye before setting out to rebel against DM and to pursue his love.
Now, when he comes to know of his unfortunate involvement in Dr.Kaul's death, he will obviously be broken and ridden with immense guilt. But I am sure his well wishers (namely Machmach, Ruksana, Aman & Aaji) will help him overcome it. Also, when he knows of DM's efforts in distancing his love from him, he'll surely come out of his guilt and fight for his love.
Raghu and Antara's is no puppy love or infatuation, we have seen it transform gradually from hate at first sight to mutual respect, to friendship, attraction and now true, passionate and deep love. It is strong enough to fight any trials and tribulations. We have seen stories of love & hate before, where the leads first hate each other & then fall in love, go through trials & misunderstand each other until they finally confess, and the story drags from there on. However Raghu & Antara are the first TV couple I've seen who have actually shown this amount of understanding even before they have realized or declared love for each other. In no other couple have I seen the kind of proper, mature conversations like these two have had. Raghu and Antara's story, unlike other love stories, will truly begin with the confession, and I bet it is going to be one hell of a journey. Yes, there are terrible twists and a lot of angst awaiting them in their path of love, but then, don't we all like some angst in love stories?
