I don't think anybody has come here to romance. Everybody has a plan. One story is needed to move forward in the show. Love triangle is the time tested script in bollywood. They want to be part of that. The guy who loses the girl will gain sympathy and that in turn results in voting in his favor. The guy who wins the girl may also get the viewer's vote. But once the show is over they will move forward with their career.
