Prachi Desai, Bani of Kasam Se, gives her Class XII Board exams next Thursday, only days after being run over by a car. Prachi studies in Sahyadri College, Pune and will appear for the Arts Board exams.
Prachi Desai, Bani of Kasam Se, gives her Class XII Board exams next Thursday, only days after being run over by a car. Prachi studies in Sahyadri College, Pune and will appear for the Arts Board exams.
Her mother Amita Desai said she would not have a problem. "Prachi's foot is not as badly hurt as I thought it was when I first heard of the accident," she said. "I was tense as her exams are coming up and she's gone to London today (Friday) for the Zee Carnival."
Prachi had been gashed on the left leg by a deep wound for which she received six stitches. What about X-rays?
"Thank God, her X-rays are normal. There is swelling in her leg but no fracture."
Coincidentally, Prachi was shooting a scene where she was supposed to have an accident when she got run-over in reality.
How she will manage her future shoots and exams schedules?
"Zee has already banked a few episodes," mom Amita said, adding in matronly fashion, "and I will accompany her to her exams."
How tough would it be for the Class XII student to appear for her exams in such a situation? We asked Tina Iyer, XII (Science) student from Modern College, Pune, who said that Prachi's choice of subjects would help her. "I wouldn't have been able to concentrate if I had met with an accident. But Arts is easy while Science is very hard."
