I will posting about this episode only tomorrow, but what was enchanting was the way in which Jalal entered into Rahim's psyche, spoke to him almost like an equal, and coaxed the full truth out of him. It was wonderfully done. In the end, even as his face was crumpling in anguish, he still promised Rahim that he would not be punished.

Jokes apart (and it might very well be true and not a joke at all!) Mahaam was really like the wicked stepmother in Snow White. When she told Adham Sharbat piyo! I had goose pimples, it was so mad and menacing. That is the image that stays with me, even more than that last shot between Salima and Jalal, or Jalal on his knees in his room, torn by anguish at this betrayal.
