Some excerpts from a article Pooja Bhatt wrote on www.mid-day.com

Week Ten

Late one evening, I caught a talk show hosted by a mainstream director which had as its guests three of the biggest stars in Bollywood. (Those who don't know she is talking about Koffee with Karan and guests Kajol, SRK and Rani)

They all looked great, spoke charmingly, but somehow, the mention of Rakhi Sawant made two of those three stars, the 'ladies' in particular, reveal themselves more than Rakhi has ever hoped or dared to.

'What would you do if you woke up as Rakhi Sawant?' was the question. The two munificent leading ladies smirked, cackled and responded in a tactless, superior fashion.

Where does this false sense of superiority come from, I wonder? I always thought that the bigger you are, the more generous you are to your colleagues with fewer privileges.

Sadly, I did not see this rule being applied that evening. But the fault somewhere lies with Rakhi. She secretly yearns for their acceptance. That explains why she readily accepts an invitation to an overrated Chinese restaurant to dine with socialites that wield more peroxide than grace.

'We are what we hide', my father once told me. And if we apply that principle to this superior lot and their hidden worlds, Rakhi will seem a Red Cross volunteer in comparison.

It takes more strength to be criticised for what you are than to be applauded for what you're not. Unfortunately, most people choose the latter.

Tune in, shut off

I turn off the TV and tune back to Devigarh.

few fact which I liked here:

'We are what we hide', It takes more strength to be criticised for what you are than to be applauded for what you're not. Unfortunately, most people choose the latter. 👏 👏 👏

But Rakhi doesnt even know the speculations & criticism ppl indirectly show towards her - she feels it happy to learn that the celebs have recited her name :(

Well I don't know what to say, I know I am not as big as these so called personalities but if I was ever asked this question, I would answer it the way Rani did. If her being a bigger celebrity means she should be generous towards someone not as popular, then I don't understand the justification.

i agree with everybody....kajol's answer was not at all justified...i also had the doubt..wht was the reason karan johar took out rakhi's name?the name was taken out with an intent of getting such funny or sarcastic answers...and rakhi also doesnt seem to understand...as long as she gets noticed...

I was never fond of Kajol in general. She has a severe attack of verbal diarrhea in public. She is just a classy(?) version of Rakhi Sawant. There is a thin line between being outspoken and beiing spiteful. I hope Kajol learns that. I liked Rani's reply better.

Mallika Sherawat was at the receiving end at last season of KWK and now its Rakhi's turn. I hope KJo doesn't rely on such cheap tactics to garner TRPs. But people like Mallika and Rakhi provide the fodder for others to pounce on them. As long as both are happy.........
