Lets join the birthday celebration of

Akshay Dogra, not many of us know much about this name. For some of us he is Akash Raizada of Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon and some noticed him as actor in Punar Vivah..Yet we know so less of the man himself..

An Actor who has the potential and the one who can do wonders with opportunities and surprise us all pleasantly. He has struggled a lot in his career but came to notice with character of Akash Raizada of IPK.His character didn't have much space in the story yet he managed to get noticed . Iss Pyaar Ko is special to him in also another way. He himself states that he got such lovely friends through this show. His friendship be it with Barun Sobti or Sanaya Irani ,leads of the show or with other actors in the show like daljeet ,Abhaas and Karan Goddwani is quite evident with lot of offscreen interviews and show segments aired.

Oh yes who can forget famous "Balwant kaur" that he introduced ... His bonding with the cast still remains strong even after show got closed 10 months back. Before the show got closed , Akshay had already left the show since role was not offering him much . Soon his fans got another chance of seeing Akshay in totally different role as Akash Scindia of Punar Vivah where he plays step brother to main lead Gurmeet Chowdhary. This role of Angry Young Man was totally different from Shy , polite Akash of Iss Pyaar ko. Akshay was able to showcase more variety of emotions with this character and also earned praises for it as well. Soon this too ended as show got closed but he managed to again get noticed for his performance in the same.

Often being compared in looks with his look alike in Bollywood Aditya Roy Kapoor' , Akshay Dogra is a cool ,fun loving and spiritual person who loves to write and interact with his fans on twitter. He is witty and at same time philosophical yet someone who knows what it takes to have humility along with fame.

He is just at the start of his Career in Television and indeed has many milestones to achieve.

Since 3 December 2012, the Monday after the show ended, a few of us have been on a happy spree watching Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon all over again at Blast from the Past.

Akshay Dogra, it has been a privilege to know you, albeit through various interviews in different mediums. A deep respect has developed for the person that you are and the loving relationships you've built with your near and dear ones. Once, in an interview you mentioned that the way we all feel about our beloved show IPKKND, you are that to all your friends from the show. That was very touching and depicted the amount of love everyone, be it the team members or the viewers, has garnered from the show. There definitely is a holy connection.

I will love Akash Singh Raizada and his one-liners for all time as i will love the show for all time, thank u for giving me such a nuanced, subtle character that i adore. Beyond the popularity and the hype surrounding IPKKND one of the main reasons why it was so amazing is because every single person in the cast is hugely talented. There was no weak link (ok, maybe Lakshmi 😆) and u were all simply superb in the roles u portrayed and how u worked together onscreen to make everything so real.

I will always regret that we never got to see Akash interacting more with others and that his and Payals' story was never explored properly after marriage, but despite that i loved everything u did on the show up until the last shot u gave. For me, the sibling relationship between Akash and Arnav was one of the best i've seen on tv and even though most people have used the word 'chemistry' to death, i seriously LOVED ur chemistry with Barun, it was superb 😛 One of the things i miss most about the show is seeing u two interacting offscreen, actually i miss seeing all of u interacting offscreen, it was truly hilarious and wonderful to watch 😆

So i wish u a wonderful year ahead and i wish u get an amazing role that u can really sink ur teeth into and which will properly showcase ur talents. U did a wonderful job as a negative character in PV and u were the only reason why i watched the show. And i really enjoyed ur comedic touch in MPP - although anything that u and Karan r both in i will love for sure! Hope u get the role u've always wanted next, good luck and stay blessed and have an absolutely wonderful Birthday!
