Drashti Dhak Dhak Dhami , first got her popularity with Geet and then popularly known as Madhubala participated in Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 6 as this was the only reality show she wanted to be part of . 😛 She came in JDJ 6 with ONLY mantra In It To WIN It. 😎 Drashti was paired with the super talented choreographer Salman Yusuf Khan. Her nervousness in her first performance on "Ishq Wala Love" was cleared and also she was not confident but in fact shivering throughout the performance and even after that but today if we pick any performance after that she has just grew a long way. She showed immense confidence and her nervousness flew in the air and she showed the growth with every passing acts of hers. She then got her first 30 in the 4th week oh JDJ on song "Hum Rahe ya Na Rahe Kal Yaad Aayenge Yeh Pal" in Aerial Act and she was showered with all the praises for how her performance was FLAWLESS 👏 Drashti n Salman Not only left the judges AWESTRUCK with their performance but aslo the Guest Celeb Vidya Balan too. #TeamDrashtiSalman then kept getting all the Best of the BEST comments from the judges for their Outstanding performances. Drashti was not only praised for her Beauty, Acting, Expressions but also for her DANCING which is obviously the Main concept of Jhalak. The complete Non-Dancer Drashti was emerged into a Dancer is only because of her n Salman's Hard Work. This journey was never easy for Drashti, she had her own hurdles and ups and down, her main hurdle was time constraint to come this way as she used to shoot for her show Madhubala 9 to 9 and then used to rehearse only for 4 hours n used to perform her acts on JDJ and that is some achievement itself. We know its not a big deal for others but for her fans n Drashti it is, she was never sidelined from her show like other actors this season or past season got from their shows. 😛 We really imagine if she has that time to rehearse like other participants had she would have definitely given some more Awestruck performances but she held it and dint compromised with either of her projects and we really appreciate that. Salman did lots of hard work on her and she proved him as his BEST student and never disappointed him. Drashti was doing all great with her acts and was getting praises after praises but then came the time where her performances were criticized and called as incomplete and not up the jhalak standard which they themselves set was on a edge to even Quit the show. But but her choreographer Salman stood upto her and showed immense trust and faith and boasted her again and asked her to "Not give up on him as he will never give up on Her"
And then came the time she never looked back again and put in her 200% in every act and got some very AWESOME comments like "You were way better than kareena kapoor" for her Halkal jawani performance and "You DANCE like a Super Star" for her Humko Aajkal Hai act. The dancing diva Madhuri too couldnt resist but come on stage and shake a leg or two with Drashti on the song. Salman always made her dance on the styles she was uncomfortable in and she did justice to all the styles she performed and proved all wrong who said she cant dance. Drashti-Salman then never let the judges down and nor their fans n supporters. Drashti's chemistry with her choreographer Salman was always the "Talk of the Town" and got noticed by one and all.
This led to The Grand Finale where with & only with audiences votes the winner was to be decided ! Drashti Dhami & Popularity among masses esp "girls" go hand-in-hand ! well in this case the Entire INDIA voted for Drashti in Pride & She earned the largest amount of votes recorded ever in the History of Jhalak making her , the Winner of The Coveted Title of Jhalak Season 6 Trophy ! Drashti Dhami faced perhaps a magnanimous quota of appreciation & criticisms on grounds of Brilliance & Insane fan following ! but as they say actions speaks louder than words ! Its these "Insane" fans who came together ! who refused to step aside & Let go ! who stayed strong for The Most Outstanding Dancer , Performer & Gem of a Person Drashti Dhami making her Thus the Winner of Jhalak Season 6 ! In this season her strength her mentor Salman Yusuff Khan played an indispensable role without whom this dream wud have been not as fulfilling & accomplishing as it had been ! Salman & his team were Drashti's pillars of strength , will & determination . Drashti Dhami had a strong circle of friends who supported her like Sanaya , Karan Singh Grover , Nakul Mehta ,Janki & others Lastly Drashti won the Title of Jhalak 6 trophy Primarily Because She DESERVED it !
