'Wont let anyone dominate my career'-Jacqueline

In a candid chat, Jacqueline Fernandez breaks her silence about the much talked about breakup with Sajid Khan

On May 25, this paper reported that Jacqueline Fernandez has split from Sajid Khan after a three-year-long relationship. It's been four months since and Jacky has maintained a dignified silence about the breakup. Not anymore. When Mirror caught up with her at a Bandra cafe, the actress spoke her heart out. Looking stunning in a free-flowing dress, a fresh faced and disarmingly candid Jacqueline told us that she has always prioritised her freedom over everything else. "Ever since the beginning of my career, I have always believed in being a free person." So it is unsurprising that she couldn't sustain her relationship with Sajid, a reportedly possessive lover who laid out many diktats ("no sensual scenes, no skimpy clothes") on how she should position herself in the industry.

She promptly retorts: "I am somebody who cannot and would never let anyone dominate my career. I want to be responsible for my decisions and my choices. I think that is how it should be for everybody."

But as things stand today, are things amicable between the former lovers? Without revealing much, Jacqueline, in a sombre tone, says: "Everyone's been really mature about everything. I hope we always remain friends. I have done two films with him, and in the future, would love to work with him again."

Despite the turbulent history, Jacky calls Sajid someone who has been extremely "supportive." She says, "There is no reason why anything should be bitter between us. He's always been extremely supportive. He has guided me in the right direction. It may not have happened now, but I'd absolutely work with him in the future."

But it seems that Sajid doesn't intend to let bygones be bygones. If he did, why was she unceremoniously dropped from his upcoming film, Humshakals? Jacky counters this with the most clichd of answers. "I didn't have the dates. I've read the script, and I feel it's the funniest script I have ever read. I wish I could've been a part of it. They've already started filming."
