Chapter#9

"My brother?" - Aryaan looked at her curiously?

Khushi nodded.

"What about him?" -Aryaan held her shoulders.

"It's... It's just... ugh... It's complicated." -Khushi said as she tired to look for words. She was still confused about what was bothering her.

"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it now." -Aryaan said as he took her to the bed and made her sit on it.

"No... No it's not that I don't want to tell you. I want to." -Khushi said as she crossed her legs and tucked a lock behind her ear.

"Okay start... We have all the time." -He smiled at her comfortably.

As Khushi wiped her tears away, she began with her little broken fairy tale. She told him how she had a crush on him then he later asked her out, about the magical days and then how stuff began to get weird and ended up there at the Valentines Day.

"... And that's when I left for London. I really don't know how to explain you... like how I felt. It was just like some sort of regret sucking me on the inside. The regrets that... ugh... about dating Arnav." -She ran a hand through her hair as words didn't come to her. "Oh and you know, when we met for the first time I was shocked at how much you resembled Arnav. Lekin tum tou asli mein bhai nikalay." -She chuckled.

Aryaan smiled at her.

"That's it? You are sad and wasting tears all because of this?" -Aryaan said as he raised his eyebrows making Khushi look at him with wide eyes.

"I... um..." -Khushi tried to say but Aryaan interrupted.

"Look Khushi, don't think I'm saying this because I'm his brother but he is a nice guy. I and Arnav don't really get along much but no matter what I still know deep down how caring he is. Yes, a very big jerk indeed." -He laughed. "No offense though" -He winked at Khushi.

Khushi smiled at him.

"Khushi all I know is that Arnav was really depressed after our mother's death. He had to work hard at the age where we should be enjoying or studying. Plus I ditched him. I had my dreams and I had no plans of working in AR. He didn't say a word but just left." -He sighed. "And I just know that Sheetal, she left him or maybe he had backed away from the relationship. I don't know about that." -He negatively shook his head. "Akash told me; a few months ago... before I met you that Arnav was just waiting for this one girl he had always loved. He said that Arnav regretted the mistakes he made. I swear, I had no idea it was you..." -Aryaan said while looking at Khushi who was shocked at his last words.

"Now the puzzle fits together... It was you all along. Arnav ki Khushi." -He winked at her, making her laugh.

There was hope. Khushi thought.

"Are you... serious?" -She asked in a whisper.

"Why would I lie to you?" -He shrugged his shoulders. "Only if you had told this to me earlier I would have helped you with this. But what do you want to do now?" -Aryaan asked.

"Huh? I don't know... I... just don't know what to do about this anymore. What do you think I should do?" -Khushi asked biting her lower lip.

"Well, okay... to be honest... don't hit me." -He made space between them.

"Well it depends on what you say." -Khushi giggled.

"I'm not in his favor but give him a chance Khushi." -He said seriously. "Everybody deserves a chance, give it a try."

Khushi stayed silent for a while.

"I will" -Khushi said as she felt much better and determined.

Arnav had seen Khushi go to her room and following her he saw Aryaan. He felt jealous and it ached, inside his heart.

He felt really bad and felt like killing himself.

He regretted his past.

Only if... he hadn't said all that on the Valentine's Day.

His knuckles turned white as he sat on the sofa with everybody in the living room.

It had been more that 15 minutes now and they still weren't back.

What if, what if Khushi and Aryaan liked each other? He questioned himself.

No no no! I can't let this happen.

But what if she's happy with him?

I won't force her to be with me but I'll always love her.

But what about you, Arnav?

I don't deserve her.

She's always smiling when he's around.

They both like each other.

I'll let her be happy.

He battled with himself. And he gave up.

Arnav Singh Raizada gave up, just for his Khushi to be happy.

Hey my beautiful dolls! :') Okay, so sorry for not updating. But life gets really busy. Sorry. :/ You all know I have school and I hardly even get any sleep. Literally. And today I thought I should update this one atleast. :D

So, I have no idea where this is going. There must be many loopholes and other missed stuff but I just want to get over with. Next is the Last Chapter, following it there will an Epilogue. A small one. But yeah. ^_^ I hope you like this chapter. See for a clear picture, now Arnav is going through whatever Khushi had gone through. Like she thought he liked Sheetal and she wans't anything like her and shit but now Arnav thinks Aryaan is the one who'll keep her happy. Get it? Typical story hai yaar. :P Any questions?
