v - "Jeevika is there anything else left to pack?" j - "Yeah, hold there are a few more shopping bags in the closet" she said getting them out
v - "How much did you girls shop?"
j - "A lot! Its mostly for Zaaine"
v - "I'm sure he doesn't need this many clothes Jeevika" he said getting the clothes out from the shopping bags
j - "Viren we barely get time to go shopping when we're home. So I thought just to buy him a few cute outfits"
v - "Whatever you say" he said smiling
j - "Zaaine why don't you put your iPad on charge instead of watching a movie right now. Or you will be bored on the flight tomorrow"
z - "But mommy me watching Cars"
j - "I know, but then you will be bored tomorrow when there is no battery"
z - "Daa, you drive home please?"
v - "Why drive? We already have our tickets booked to fly home Zaaine"
z - "Me no like plane. Its scary"
v - "It won't be tomorrow because now you've been on it once"
z - "But it take too long to get home"
j - "If we drive home, it will take days. Do you want to get home and to your room tomorrow night or after a few days?"
z - "Tomorrow night"
j - "Then we will have to take a flight home"
z - "Okay, but me never going on plane after again"
v - "Okay Zaaine"
z - "Daa can we sleep please?"
v - "But its New Years in three hours. You really want to sleep now?"
z - "Yes please"
v - "You don't want to see fireworks?"
z - "Whats fireworks?"
v - "Its like these colors you see up in the sky"
z - "But me sleepy"
j - "Why don't you take a nap, and we will wake you up in two hours"
z - "Okay" he said cozying up in his bed... "Mommy you sit with me please"
Jeevika moved near Zaaine and sat near him. Zaaine moved closer to her and placed his head in her lap and closed his eyes while contuining to smile. Around 11:30 PM, Viren and Jeevika decided to wake Zaaine up, but he was too tired to get up.
v - "What should we do? I think he's totally off his sleeping schedule plus still has jet lag. Should we just ring in the New Years here?"
j - "I guess. We did that five years ago" she said smiling and remembering the time they rung in new years right after their wedding.
v - "How about two glasses of champagne and you and me on the balcony again?" he said smiling
j - "Only one glass Viren" 😛
v - "Oh yeah! Well then how about a cake?"
j - "Where are we going to get a cake from?"
v - "Downstairs, theres a great bakery open till now"
j - "Really?" she said all excited... "Viren I want a strawberry cheesecake please"
v - "And if they don't have that, what do you want?"
j - "UHF...how about a creamy chocolately cake"
v - "You got it" he said giving her a kiss on her cheek... "Be right back"
Jeevika decided to take advantage of Viren leaving and quickly opened up her suitcase to get out her favorite black dress. She took and and went into the bathroom and started doing her makeup. She wanted to dress up and look like the same sexy Jeevika she was five years ago when they first got married. She wanted to mesmerize Viren tonight. As soon as she finished fixing her hair, she went to change into the dress. She somehow managed to put it on, but the zip wasn't going up. She looked at herself in the mirror and realized how tight the dress had actually become. She could see her stomach was much bigger this time around. Just then she heard some noise and figured it was Viren. She couldn't even go out now and find something else to wear.
v - "Jeevika are you in the bathroom?"
j - "Yeah" she said a little upset
v - "Is everything okay?"
j - "Not really"
Viren opened the door and saw Jeevika looking upset with herself. But before he noticed that, he couldn't get his eyes off her beautiful glowing face and her silky hair complimenting her in every way.
v - "Wow... I don't need any champagne... I think I can get drunk just looking at you"
j - "Viren I look hideous. Look at this" she said turning around and showing him the zip that was still halfway open
Viren went near her back and then took his arms wrapping it around her stomach and hugging her from the back. Jeevika closed her eyes and he kissed her neck.
v - "You look gorgeous" he said making her face him now
j - "But the zip won't..."
Before she could even complete her sentence he crashed his lips onto hers. It was the effort that counted the most and he knew she tried really hard to impress him, and he was more than impressed. Both of them could not stop kissing, but eventually did as Viren wanted to just keep staring at her.
v - "I don't think you've ever looked better than right now"
j - "Don't say that. The dress isn't even fitting me properly and I look twice my size" as she finished saying that Viren pulled the zip of her dress up...
v - "Any problems now?"
j - "Yes! I didn't think I would show my stomach, but this dress is making me look like I'm super duper pregnant"
v - "Well firstly you are, so obviously you will look it. But let me tell you something, you look extremely gorgeous"
j - "Just for you" she said blushing
v - "Hungry for some cheesecake?"
j - "They had it?" she said getting excited.
v - "Sure did!"
The two of them went back outside to their room and took the cake to the balcony. They enjoyed watching the crowd gathered on the street getting ready to ring in the new year. Jeevika and Viren held hands the entire time until it was the last minute of the year. Viren back hugged Jeevika and they both started counting down.
"10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1" And it was finally a new year. Jeevika turned around to give her husband a kiss. Their arms spread across each other and their lips met. As soon as they took a breath, they both cut the cake. Viren took a piece and fed his wife a bite, and she did the same.
v - "Shall we go put some whipped cream on Zaaine?"
j - "Let's!"
Both of them walked inside their room and turned on the lights. Zaaine didn't exactly wake up, but his eyes surely felt the brightness. Just then Viren and Jeevika both put whipped cream on Zaaine's cheek waking him up.
j - "Happy New Years Zaaine"
v - "Happy New Years Zaaine" he said after Jeevika...
Zaaine sat up and smiled at his parents.
z - "Happy New Year" he said with his eyes half open. Jeevika and Viren both kissed Zaaine on his cheeks and he kissed both of them back.
v - "Want some cake?"
z - "Yes please" he said opening his eyes more now.
v - "Here" he said feeding him...
