chapter 11

The weather outside seemed to show no improvement, it got worse each seconds, the road were locked with heavy snow, and the hail stone fell on the white place like thunder. It was foggy and nothing could be clearly seen as he sat there drinking his glass of tea, just a signal statement changed his life, he was free now no one would claim him mad, now he could stay in Jaigarh with his family, he just said that manyata had actually fallen off the cliff that night, he buried the beasty story. But this freedom had to pay for manyata life time and he was determined that he would unmask the beast and that would be the end of UDAY VEER SINGH. He sat there as his servants announced that Anindita and Nawang had come to pay their visit to him. He shook his head as went to the living area where they were seated, Anindita unlike other day was into simple faded white kurti, white was the color she choose after she got the news of the dead of her best friend and as for Nawang he was sitting there motionless since that very day he neither spoke to anyone much nor did he hear much of what people had to say them. He sat as anindita handed him a card, the words on it seemed like to pierce his heart, it was a funeral card, for manyata. He did not panic instead he calmly said in more like a sarcastic way

MAYUR: so they gave up their search they proclaimed her dead

This single sentence of his bought tears to anindita eyes, as she fought back her broken voice and managed to say

ANINDITA: manyata was really close to you so her parents accept you at the funeral ...Mayur please

This was all that she said as tear took over her speech, soft tears rolled down her cheek, her life was faded and covered with darkness after her friend had left, she had turned into a robot who lived her life like a duty as for nawang he seemed scared, he was turning to be pale each passing day, he was scared to meet new people or talk to anyone hardly anyone had heard him speaking after that night. Mayur nodded his head in a yes and said to anindita and nawang

MAYUR: fine I will be there

As anindita and nawang stood up to go, suddenly mayur eyes locked into nawang there was a glint in his eyes, a fear of something as anindita went out but before nawang could walk the way out his hands were hold back by mayur as he asked him

MAYUR: what the matter nawang why do you look so lost is there something that is bothering you ... Maybe manyata dead

He emphasized on the last part of the sentence more, he knew he hit his arrow right when mayur face turned all pale he struggle for breath and finally gasped some words into a sentence

NAWANG: no ... no... I am not bothered about manyata dead or the ca...

He did not complete his sentence but mayur had sensed that he knew something and he was determine to dig this fear out from his mind.

She felt warm and cozy, she felt she was hugging her favorite teddy, she never wanted to part away from here, in her sub conscious mind she felt herself back to her normal life with anindita, nawang and mayur. She could feel her head heavy and her eyes demanded to be open, she rubbed her eyes with her hands as she opened it to see a bare chest with perfect abs just when a pair of eyes met her, she looked at him alarming as she popped out of the bed and demanded in a shrill voice

MANYATA: what are you doing here?

He stood up and walked towards the bed saying to her in a clam voice

UDAY; you was feeling cold so I was simply helping you

As he turned the door knob to open she spat at him

MANYATA: look I do not need any help from you as I am salve right just to serve you

She sat with anger and frustration filling in her voice, but instead of being hurt by her sharp tone he pity her as he felt her sorrow through her voice, he calmly replied to her

UDAY: the breakfast is served over the table

Saying this he got out of the door and went down stair as she looked at him with teary eyes, she hated him for making her live the life she was never supposed to live but pushing all the thoughts at the back of her head the only thing that revolved around her was the REASON!! Why did he not show his anger today? Maybe he had better way over the breakfast to show his anger on her. Pushing all this thoughts at the back of her head she went to the bathroom there was already water heated for bathing she looked at it and said clenching her teeth

MANYATA: he thinks himself too smart he thinks he can win over me by this things but no I can never love you

Saying this she turned the shower letting the icy cold water hit her slender body. She shivered as it felt her entire body was shrinking in the water, but she stood underneath without any motion letting the cold water pain take over her mental pain. When she came out from the shower she was shivering and trembling, she opened the cupboard to find piles of cloth she was helpless and had to take uday help here, so she wore a pair of faded jeans and a top with layer of sweater , mufflers and socks. Her nose had turned due to cold and her eyes had become blurt. She made her way down the steps to see him sitting there and waiting for her. He pulled out a chair for her beside him but she walked away and sat at the other place as he sat on his chair disappointed, as he tried to cheer her mood and said

UDAY: see today I have cooked all your favorite food

Manyata gave him a frostily look though she herself was freezing and said to him

MANYATA: no I don't want to achooo

He looked at her hair that was dripping water already, her hands were cold with Goosebumps and he had already assumed that she had taken bath with icy cold water. He laughed in his mind at her foolishness and said to her

UDAY: what happened manyata? Are you fine?

MANYATA: I am achooo

UDAY: well that does not sound fine to me

Saying this he went inside and got her a towel as he went to wipe her hair, she caught his writs in a icy cold grip and said

MANYATA: there is no need achoo

He shrugged her hand off and took her hair in strong grip and started to wipe it all the water off, manyata could no longer struggle as she now felt at ease by his message, his hands did wonders, as the tip of his hair touched her scalp via towel she felt all her tension and her annoyance towards him vanishing in thin air. She did not realize when she grew found of it but it ended soon as he took the towel and walked away to dry it. She cursed herself for giving up in his touch as she took spoonful of food in order to finish it, she did want to be a slow eater and that would mean to spend more time. Uday was just making his way to the table and watching her that way, he adored her nave and innocent nature as he smiled and said to himself

UDAY: the way you are trying to run away from me princess I hope someday you try to get this close to me

Everyone was assembled there, all people who knew manyata, her relatives, her friends, daimaa and even her parents. Mayur sulked at a corner as he hated watching the flower garland on her face but he was helpless everyone had tears wetting their eyes. Her parents had lost the most precious possession of their life and that money could never buy back. As he sat there suddenly his eyes was hooked on nawang, he was making his way out of the hall, mayur decided to follow him and so he did as he watched nawang getting inside his car without wasting a single second mayur followed him...
