Indian Idol Junior Winner 2013

After months of tough competition, thousands of participants and millions of votes; India's first Indian Idol Junior was about to be crowned. 86 contestants managed to get through the auditions and then into the competition, and finally India got its first Indian Idol Junior.Sony Entertainment Television had managed to create a huge buzz around this show and the results are very much in front of the audience and Indian Idol fans.

Judges Vishal-Shekhar Shreya Ghoshal and the two hosts, Karan Wahi & Mandira Bedi were all set to bring in the Grand Finale of Indian Idol Junior. The show had some power packed celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor and Ramcharan who had come to promote their movies and also to witness the Grand Finale. There was no doubt that all the top contestants deserved to be the winner, but as it was a competition, there could only be one winner. Anjana Padmanabhan, Debanjana Mitra, Anmol Jaiswal and Nirvesh Dave were also eager to find out the winner.

To add more pressure to the competition, the living legend Amitabh Bachchan was the one to declare the winner. The Grand Finale also saw the homecoming of the top 11 contestants. They did entertain the audience with special performances. And not to forget, some electrifying performances by judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani too.

So, after all the performances it was finally time to declare the winner. The envelope was opened and the winner was... Anjana Padmanabhan. She was almost in shock as she was not expecting it. But she surely deserved it as Hindi was not her first language; still she sang some amazing songs during her journey with Indian Idol. The first Indian Idol Junior received grand prize money of 25 lakhs from Sony Entertainment Television, a Nissan Micra Car, a fixed deposit of 5 Lakhs from Kotak and 2 Lakhs from Horlicks.
