Deepika Padukone moved to tears by Bhansali's praise

Deepika Padukone's growth as an actress has been in leaps and bounds. From rusty performances at the start of her career, the actress has over the years won admiration of not just the critics but also people from the film industry.

Now, she's won praise from a man not known to be generous with compliments. FilmmakerSanjay Leela Bhansali reportedly lavished praise on Deepika on the last day of the shooting of Ram Leela. The actress filmed an intense scene and it so touched Bhansali that he couldn't keep himself from complimenting her in front of everyone.

Hearing the praise coming from Bhansali, Deepika Padukone was visibly moved and broke down.

According to sources, "Deepika has put in a lot of hard work in Ram Leela and hearing the praise from Bhansali on the last day touched her deeply."

The compliment was all the more special because the character of Leela that Deepika plays in the film is named after Bhansali's mother and therefore very dear and special to him. He obviously wouldn't be loose with compliments.

Ram Leela has Deepika Padukone pairing with Ranvir Singh. Deepika even took some scolding by Bhansali during the making, but praise at the end makes all the hard work worth it.

That's what Bhansali does with all her actresses, he scolds them during the making of the movie and then praises them on the last day...

Deepika has def evolved as an actress, i loved YJHD caz of her. I couldnt connect to anyone else's charecter or acting but her. For me, she made the movie work.

I still havent seen CE, but only want to see it after seeing her in promos.

I still remember how annoying i found her in OSO especially in second half but she has always been very good expression wise even in the beginning of her career. I am glad she is improving and not only doing bimbo roles.

hopefully Ramleela does to her career wat HDDCS did to Aishwarya.

Never underestimate a movie, may be SLB will get it right this time.

well i hope the film works...one reason why i want the film to work becos deepika is having my name...i share my name with SLB mother...my name is also Leela...i am proud that...deepika whom i am a big fan of is playing my name...its honour for me...even it doesn't work...i am proud that deepika played my name on-screen...i am sure she is going earn alot of critical acclaim for this films...many journos and industry people have watch the rushes of the film and says that its deepika's phenomenal performance...

me too...the trade people and few journos have seen the rushes...and praised deepika's performance and beauty in the film...

Too much of hype and expectations kill the final product. People needs to stop burdening Deepika already. Let the promos come out first dont jinx it before. Esp reporters like Subhash.K Jha who is Bhansali's best friend. He praises anything SLB does so I am not really taking his articles of RL seriously. We saw what happened to Bebo's Heroine and Katrina's JTHJ with the excessive hype for their performance even before the film's release.

i agree...lets wait for the trailers...Dhoom 3 theatrical trailer is releasing on Sept 6 while RL trailer is releasing on Sept 12...

Once Deepika is back after a month long vacation, she has to be all recharged to promote her next film - Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela'

After delivering three super hit movies back to back, Deepika Padukone surely deserves a break. Deepika Padukone is currently enjoying a much-needed holiday abroad. She is spending quality time with her family and traveling to exotic locations.

Once she is back after a month long vacation, she has to be all recharged to promote her next film - Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela'.

"Sanjay Leela Bhansali and producer Sunil Lulla have big plans for the film's promotion and have a two month long plan. The film's first look would be revealed on September 12 and from then on there would be no looking back. Both Deepika and her co-star Ranveer Singh would be required to be present round the clock to attend the promotional events," a source informs.

With Ram Leela' releasing this November, Deepika surely hopes to continue her winning streak.
