Jeevika woke up and saw Viren asleep on the couch in her room. He looked awfully uncomfortable. She looked at the time and saw it was 9am. She hadn't even realized when she slept, skipping through dinner even! And she felt guilty for Viren sleeping on the couch. j - "He was so busy with work and now jet lag and he didn't even come sleep on the bed" she said to herself.
Jeevika got up from her bed and took her blanket and covered Viren. As she got close to Viren, she started missing him. Though he was near her, and travelled across the country to be with her they were so far and it was because of her.
j - "Am I really doing the right thing. He is my husband" she said to herself feeling guilty.
Jeevika walked away outside the room and into the hallway where her parents were. She sat down near her mom and lay her head in her mothers lap feeling like home finally. Before she even knew it, Viren stepped into the hallway.
j mom - "Goodmorning. Let me go get you some tea then we can get ready and leave"
j - "Leave? leave for where?" she said sitting back up
j mom - "We're taking Viren out. Not going to bore him at home all day long. Why don't you quickly get ready and then lets leave"
j - "I'm not in the mood to go anywhere today please mom"
j mom - "Jeevika you only have a limited number of days here. Lets all go out and enjoy a bit. Okay go get ready, let's leave in an hour or so"
Jeevika got up and walked to her room with Viren right behind her. As both of them entered the room, there was still a silence yet an eye lock. Jeevika wanted to say much, but didn't have it in her. She turned away and went to get her clothes out from her suitcase. She lifted the heavy suitcase up and tried putting it on the bed with great difficulty. She looked at Viren hoping he would understand through her face she needed help, but he wanted her to say it to him. Viren smiled at her as he came closer. Unknowingly Jeevika started walking back eventually hitting the wall. She was scared Viren was going to say something charming and swoop her off her feet and she would have to give in to his love, but she didn't want to. She wanted him to realize her wants and needs too. Viren slowly brought his lips closer to hers, but this time to Jeevika's luck someone knocked on the door. Viren quickly stepped back before anyone could see them that close. She came back into her senses and opened the door to see her mom there with two cups of tea.
j - "Mom actually Viren doesn't drink tea"
j mom - "Oh! I'll go make some coffee"
j - "No its' okay I'll make it for him"
j mom - "Okay" she said smiling
Jeevika went to the kitchen to make her husband coffee just the way he liked it. When she came back she saw the room empty. To her surprise Viren was standing behind the door and as soon as she was in, he locked the door scaring Jeevika. Scared because she was shocked, but also could tell his intentions now.
j - "Viren please let go of me" she said as he held onto her wrist.
v - "After my kiss! Do you know how long its been since I've gotten a kiss from you?"
j - "No, please tell me"
v - "52 hours, 17 minutes, and 5 seconds"
j - "Liar"
v - "Jeevs"
j - "Viren get ready please. I'm not in a good mood right now"
v - "Fine for now I'll just go with just this" he said kissing her cheek.
He quickly went inside the bathroom before Jeevika could say or do anything to him. After almost an hour they were out the house and ready to go! Jeevika's parents wanted to take Viren to the Marriot. As they all headed inside the lavish hotel, Viren kept winking at Jeevika's parents making her think something was up for sure. Her parents walked in front outside near the pool area. The first passed by the lavish waterfall and finally were near the large pool at this five star hotel. To Jeevika's surprise all her classmates and cousins were sitting in a private cabana there. They all ran to her and greeted her.
j mom - "Now are you glad to come out?" she said seeing Jeevika so happy.
j - "When did you guys plan this. And you Heena, I thought you told me you were going out of town with your family"
heena (j's friend) - "That was just to make you upset. Viren and I were planning a get together for you since like two weeks now"
j - "Two weeks!!!!!!????!!!!!????"
Jeevika looked at Viren and now felt guiltier than ever! He really did care for her. He didn't even know or hadn't ever talked to her friends from India, but got in contact with them somehow or the other just to plan a fun day for her.
Jeevika was taken by Heena and went to meet all the people there. Even though she was jet lagged she was so excited to be meeting her close friends and family after such a long time. Viren came with two drinks, one for her and one for himself. He was about to walk away when she caught his wrist and signaled him to sit next to her. He knew his mission was accomplished and he was finally forgiven! She now proudly showed off to everyone her husband of a few months. She kept her hand with his the entire time before the sun started setting and everyone was getting exhausted. Much to Jeevika's surprise, her parents and Viren had booked a room for her and her friends for the night so they would be able to enjoy some time with everyone tomorrow too! Then everyone decided to head to their rooms for a bit to freshen up. Viren and Jeevika got in the elevator.
v - "Wait! Here you take this key, I'll be upstairs in the room in 10 minutes"
j - "But Viren"
v - "Go! I'm coming"
j - "Okay"
Jeevika went upstairs and opened the door to their room. She saw two small bags already there and guessed Viren had packed this when she was asleep. She sat on the bed waiting for Viren and finally their was a knock on the door. She opened it and saw Viren with a small gift bag in his hands.
j - "What's this?"
v - "Something for you"
Viren held her hand and made her sit on the bed while he kneeled down on the ground watching her open the gift. She took the gift out and dazed at it cutely. They were two small baby outfits. One blue one and one pink one. Even though Jeevika didn't want kids as of now, just seeing the little baby clothes made her tear up.
v - "I just wanted to tell you that no matter what happens in our life, no obstacle will ever stop me from loving you and being with you. Yes I told you that I didn't want to plan a family, but not because I don't love you or don't think you're important. I just want to be the best father to our kids and right now is just not the best time. But if it makes you happy, I'm willing to do anything for your happiness"
j - "I'm sorry, I didn't mean that but I just wanted sometime away with you Viren. Its not that I don't love your family, but I want you by me and pampering me and doing things. But I guess things change when you get married"
v - "No they don't have to. I should have been there for you more and I realize that. So tell me do you really want to have kids soon. I mean I have some time right now if you want to start" he said naughtily
j - "Very funny Viren. I want kids but once both of us are ready"
v - "Are you ready?"
j - "I don't know, are you?"
v - "Sounds exciting, but scary at the same time"
j - "Then let's just wait till we feel we're tired of each other and need someone else to distract us"
v - "Wow what a way to put your husband off!" he said jokingly
j - "You know I love you the most in this world"
v - "And I love you the most too" he said kissing her finally after what seemed to be an eternity!
