Old Wine in New Bottle ????

So we are assured that Kumud is the ideal daughter-in-law: she wins the hearts of her in-laws; she never complains about her husband who is a bawdy boozer, and she sets out on a mission of redeeming him. A dharampatni!!!!!

She is aided by her ex-lover who knows nothing but "sacrifice" (who sacrificed his emotions and passions and became a sanyasi lest another woman surrender her life like his mother did; who sacrificed his honour and reputation to do penance for the gau hatya and thereby mitigate the pain he caused Kumud's family when he refused to marry her; who sacrificed his love and longings to see his ex-lover happy.

So it's the great lesson of sacrifice...sacrifice...sacrifice (the foundation on which a family survives) once again.

Yes it's truly heartbreaking to see Kumud who hitherto has been shown to be an empowered woman falling prey to societal norms. Sorry to digress, but if she really cared about Saras, she should have gone to Dubai to see what the hell had made him to make such a drastic decision. Anyway, these are just ploys to prolong the serial. Hope they get back together after going through these self-imposed hardships.

yes it is !!!! I had a faith in the story writers , they wont mix the 18th century and 21st century together. Romance is 21st century style, And other sequences are in 18th century or before.. I hoped they might bring some new interesting elements !!!!! But Its all about sacrifice !!!!! #fed up :(
