Don't think so.. Marium-uz-Zamani was the Rajput princess of Amer who gave birth to Jahangir aka Salim..

Mariyam Zamani literally means the mother of the entire world, (read kingdom in this case)

In this case the lady who would give birth to the next heir would be Mariyam Zamani in a way as she would be the mother of the one who would own the kingdom in future.

It is just a title that was conferred to Harka Bai and it was done only after Salim's birth

But looks like they are showing Jalal has already decided that whoever gives birth to his heir will get the title.

Hence Ruqaiya is shown trying to covet it.

There may have been more than one Mariyam Zamani in history (I am not very sure)

As far as I know Akbar never had any Portuguese queen, infact post the religious war Crusades, all Islamic rulers preferred to abstain from relationships with Christians.

It was only during Jahangir's reign that trade with Europeans flourished in Mughal empire.
