Gentle' Imran won't work with Aggressive' Ekta
A few days ago, Imran Khan was replaced by Shahid Kapoor in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies, produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. The official version maintained that Imran opted out because of a clash of dates with his schedule for Vikramaditya Motwane's Bhavesh Joshi.

But Mirror dug deeper to discover a less tranquil turn of events.

A source close to both the parties told Mirror that the fracas began soon after Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara finished shooting.

Ekta Kapoor, the film's producer and Balaji head honcho promptly fell out with its star Imran over the promotional strategy of the film.

Industry insiders say that Imran was not comfortable with the aggressive strategy adopted by Balaji and had numerable debates with the production house about the same.

Imran decided on a non-cooperation strategy and it was only when Akshay Kumar stepped in did Imran budge and agree to actively participate in the promotional activities of OUATIMD.

However, the elder Gods at Balaji weren't very happy with Imran's stiff resistance. "They felt that similar problems would emerge when Milan Talkies got ready to roll. And so in order to avoid a deja vu, Imran was dropped from the project. It was decided that Shahid will replace Imran as he is a popular face. Also, he has never worked with Balaji before," said the source.

On the other hand, sources close to Imran claim that it was his decision to part ways with Balaji. "Imran is not comfortable with the ways of Balaji and has decided not to work with them again." However director Tigmanshu Dhulia maintained that he would like to work with Imran in future. He said: "I have no differences with Imran. If not now, I will surely work with him sometime later."

When contacted, Tanuj Garg, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, declined to comment on the rift between Imran and the production house, but said: "Tigmanshu is one of the best directors in the industry today and Milan Talkies is keenly awaited. Shahid expressed his interest in working with us and most importantly, we feel that he is the right choice for the film."

To which Imran shot back saying, "Tanuj Garg is a very smart guy. I wish Shahid the very best of luck. He's going to need it."

Imran doesn't need Ekta. He gave hits with Dharma films and YRF.
OUATIMD was bad their association didn't bring good results to either and I am glad he decided not to work with her.

Imran can't even open his mouth during interviews to say something witty or intelligent. Akshay did most of the promotions anyways. So whats the issue here?

This is BS. It has to be more than just promotions. Imran has always promoted his films aggressively. Delhi Belly had one of the best promotional campaigns in recent memory along with a massive city tour. Matru, Kidnap, MBKD, IHLS...you name it. All had huge marketing campaigns with Imran an integral part. Ekta is trying to blame everyone but herself. If Akki, Imran both weren't happy with the promotions, there's something wrong with Ekta. Those 2 are extremely professional.

They've definitely had some sort of major fallout. I haven't heard Imran speak like that about anyone really..

Ekta Kapoor, Imran Khan take potshots at each other?
Ekta Kapoor and Imran Khan
Seems like Ekta Kapoor has run out of luck regarding her latest release OUATIM Dobaara!

First there was an alleged tussle between Ekta's film and Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express as the release date of both the films was clashing. After which Ekta and team are said to have postponed the release date of OUATIM Dobaara! by a week. (To 15th August, Independence Day).

However, the film did not impress too much and was badly beaten by Chennai Express at the box office. Ekta's mom Shobha Kapoor was also allegedly upset with the makers of Chennai Express for this.

The latest we hear is that there seems to be a fall out between the film's hero Imran Khan and producer Ekta Kapoor.

According to an article in Hindustan Times, producer Ekta Kapoor andactor Imran Khan have been having a few differences regarding the film's promotional strategies that seemed a bit too aggressive for Imran

Ekta was quoted saying, "People have different opinions, and they don't always need to agree with each other. Milan Talkies needs a certain amount of aggression and push. I'm not commenting on any actor; I find it embarrassing to discuss that."

To which the actor made his displeasure obvious, "I feel that talking about this won't help. Besides, there's no point speaking about what has happened in the past. Out of respect for Jeetuji, I won't say anything about this."

Shahid Kapoor has replaced Imran Khan in Ekta's next titled 'Milan Talkies' which is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

There must be something wrong with Ekta cuz she's not the easiest to work with from whatever I've read about her. Besides I haven't heard anything like this bad about Imran although I don't like him as an actor
