The entire Shrivastav family is mourning the death of the Patriarch. A grieving Pratibha breaks down on seeing Kshtij who is the adopted son of the family, and has just returned after getting his degree in law from abroad.
Advocate Gupta comes & tells them that Narendra Gupta has left his entire 5000 crore property in the name of a trust whose custodian is some Durgesh Nandinii from Lalgang zilla in U.P. He tells Kshitij that he is supposed to go and fetch Durgesh Nandinii.
Everyone is shocked. Pratibha wonders if this was done due to Narendra's lack of trust in her, and the fact that she was his second wife. The children assure her that for them she is their real mother and they are not concerned about the ' zyadad' at all.
Later the lawyer meets Pratibha alone & tells her that her husband had left a letter for her. Narendra in his letter has asked his wife not to trust their children; they according to him are wolves in sheep' clothing. He asks her to take Kshitij's help in getting Durgesh Nandinii to the house. Pratibha wonders if this can ever be true, and is convinced that their children are truly loving and caring.
As she steps out of the house she notices there's someone in the out house. Driven by curiosity she reaches the outhouse & to her shock to see her children drinking & eating & cribbing about what their dead father. She realizes that it was all planned , so that Narendra could have a heart attack, and the children could rejoice in his death. Indeed her husband was right infact they were the one who were responsible for the heart attack. Why did Narendra Shrivastav's own children conspire against him? How will Pratibha find Durgesh Nandinii?
