We rejoin the family at the hospital, where the doctor has just broken the news of Neelkanth's condition. Basically, the shock of seeing the picture and imagining other people's reactions have sent him into a catatonic state. Nutan, Chand and Krishna start crying sadly. Nutan asks the doctor if she can see him, and he says yes. She goes into his room with the kids and asks Neelkanth what happened. He is too out of it to even know that they are in the room. Chand tells her mother that nothing is going to happen. Veera feels so guilty about what happened, that she is responsible for everyone's pain, that she leaves the room and cries outside in the hallway. Mahindra asks the doctor how long it will take for Neelkanth to recover. The doctor replies that he doesn't know what answer to give him-it could be a matter of years, or it could be for the rest of his life. They need to keep him for observation to treat him properly. Then Mahindra turns around after the doctor leaves and he notices Krishna standing there, she looks sad. Then Mahindra tells Nutan that Neelkanth will be ok in a few days and she should go home and rest.
Then Krishna is leaning against the wall by herself and crying. Parth goes to her and tells her to go home. Then he sees Vedant down the hall from him and changes his expression. He looks behind him to make sure noone is watching, then goes up to Vedant, asks him what he is doing there and then tells him everything that is happening is his fault and grabs his shirt collar. (finally they gave Parth a role). Vedant explains to Parth and everyone that I just came to meet Veera, and Veera comes and says wait, as they are about to exchange blows.
Veera stops the fight, and tells Vedant that she doesn't want to meet him and to just leave right now, at this moment. Then Vedant says if you tell me to leave then I will but I will come back later, I am going to find out who did this.
Then the scene shifts to Neelkanth's house where Nutan is sitting and crying her heart out. Krishna tries to cheer her up, telling her that she holds this house and this family together. But her mother is just too grief-stricken.
The next morning comes, and the entire family is doing a havan, including Parth. Nirvaan is giving the offerings and the priests are chanting. Veera is about to come down and as she does, members of the family are glaring at her. then she makes it downstairs and Nutan says to her, this havan is to save my husband's life, what do you want, why did you come to the puja? Then Nutan shouts she will never forgive her for what happened and to leave, and pushes her. Everyone watches this unattractive scene.
Veera goes upstairs and cries on her bed. (poor girl)
then the scene shifts to the newspaper office, where Vedant comes in and demands from the editor the identity of the person who did the story. Then the guy asks him who he is etc and Vedant shows him a copy of the rag and tells him he is the man in the picture. The editor asks him to leave otherwise he will call the police. Vedant gets mad and dares him to call, he picks up the receiver and says go ahead! then Vedant angrily asks who paid him to run the story and he tells him a freelance gossip reporter, then he asks his identity. After the editor tells him, Vedant goes to the guy's car, and from the backseat jumps him and beats him. then he questions him as to who paid him to take the pictures and make the story.
the scene shifts back to the Neelkanth house and shows a copper vessel of ghee being poured into the fire. All of a sudden, the door opens and it's Vedant storming in and dragging the reporter in with him. Everyone looks up at them. then Vedant asks him who paid him to do the story. He tells him harshly, look at everyone in this room, that your lie has hurt everyone here. then the editor sneaks a look at Paras who is worried about being given away. Paras shakes his head silently at the reporter. As Vedant proceeds to beat the truth out of the guy, all of a sudden Nutan explodes, gets up from her seat and says to Vedant that she won't listen to anything he has to say, asks why he came to her house. then she curses him and says whatever fate he has brought upon her husband, he himself will suffer. Krishna, upset by the turn of events, tries to reason with Nutan and asks her to hear him out, but Nutan refuses. Then to everyone's shock, Nutan drags Veera to the front of the house and shouts at her to leave with Vedant because she is the reason that all of this happened and she should just leave the house. The camera freezes on Veera, who is in so much pain. And can't believe what she is hearing. the episode ends.
*Am so glad they breathed new life into Parth's character. And so proud of Vedant for defending Veera's name even though she doesn't appreciate it. I feel so sorry for Veera, she doesn't deserve what is happening.*
