chapter 4
Prithvi decided to stay out of kitchen as Meera prepared 'chai' for both of them.
He just kept staring at the roof absentmindedly.
I have such a beautiful wife!
NO!NO!
he shook his head violently. Thinking doing it would remove the thought from his mind. Sadly, nothing of it happened. His mind drifted to her.
He slowly got up and walked to her. She was so immersed in making tea, she didn't realise Prithvi standing behind her. Clearing his throat, he made her his presence felt.
She turned. He smiled.
His smile was irresistable. Meera couldn't help but stare at his perfect face with perplexing eyes. He was beyond compare. His dark mystifying eyes, his mustache and his smile.
Everytime, a smile formed on his face, she could feel her heart skip a beat.
Prithvi couldn't help but smile seeing the bewildered face of his wife. He looked around for a moment and turned back to her.
"Prithvi -"
"Sshhh"
Prithvi silenced her and inched closer, taking small steps. Meera, involuntarily took a step back. It was until something hard hit her back.
Her eyes grew wide. Prithvi was inches away from her.
Prithvi took a deep breath and looked straight into her eyes.
I have to do it. He is watching.
"Prithvi, what are you..." meera tried to escape but couldn't. She was trapped between his firm hands over the wall which blocked her escape.
A soft voice came out "Meera..." Her stomach lurched as she heard her name being taken in such a soft and enchanting voice. She was completely mesmerized. Her face looked like a ripe tomato. Her heart hammered and it could jump out any time. His close proximity stopped her heart as well as brain from functioning normally.
She wanted to push him away with full force, but as she lifted her hands, all the potential needed to move hands drained suddenly. Her hands rested on his wide chest.
This girl.
She surely is going to kill me with those looks in her eyes.
Her hands...
Meera, what are you thinking?
Prithvi inched even more closer. A strand of Meera's hair fell over her face. Gently, Prithvi removed the strand and stuck it behind her ear.
His touch made her shiver. She pursed her lips. She didn't know what was happening.
She felt like electricity ran through her body.
Oh god! She closed her eyes!
Her angelic face enthralled him. Her eyes hypnotized him.
He clenched his fist.
He could no longer control his emotions.
His lips were centimeters away from her.
No. I must control myself. She does not belong to m-"
His thought process stopped when Meera pulled him and their lips met. It was
Prithvi's first ever kiss.
This was the most beautiful moment for both of them.
It was
Beautiful.
Passionate.
Breathtaking.
They broke apart and stared at each other with bewilderment and in daze, smiling sheepishly at each other.
Lakhan, all the time was peeping through the window. He gritted his teeth.
"Raghu said their marriage is an agreement of sorts. Now who would say that after seeing this?"
He made a puking expression and walked away cursing and obviously annoyed at not being able to prove and make Prithvi fall flat on his face in front of him.
