| Tina and Hussain Kuwajerwala, the winners of Nach Baliye 2 are still very much in demand even after the show has ended. The couple is being inundated with offers and requests to perform at functions and shows, and to fulfill one such obligation they flew down to Hyderabad recently. Tina felt very comfortable performing at a corporate event here because she says, "It was a cosy event with not too many people." But the couple was very busy and they didn't get the opportunity to visit Tina's friend who lives in the city. "One of my friends got married to a Hyderabadi and she lives here but we were so busy that we couldn't catch up," she says sadly. Apart from this small regret, Tina has only positive things to talk of as post Nach Baliye she has gone from being a celeb wife to a celeb herself. "Before Nach Baliye when Hussain and I went out people would stare at him but they now recognise me too and look at me like I am a celebrity. It's a really nice feeling and I am very happy about it." Tina was touched when a man came up to her and told her that he wants his daughter to be just like her. The show has also ensured that Tina doesn't forget her dance moves as the couple get offers for at least 10 to 12 shows in a month. Most people request them to repeat the dance moves they did for the show. "We thought we would get to dance to the happening numbers but many just want to see us do the blindfold act and ribbon cutting number we did in the dance show. Unfortunately this isn't possible all the time because the stage differs from place to place. But most of the time we start with our rope act and then we do our solo numbers like 'Touch me not' and 'Ishq'. Then we again dance together to some happening number." When asked how she and especially Hussain who also has his TV commitments find the time she says, "Hussain is very professional. On the day of our wedding he did a shoot! Sometimes his work comes before anyone else, but I understand the situation and am happy that he can manage." Although they don't mind performing at shows, the couple isn't open to dancing at weddings. This is because both believe that the bride and groom are the most important people during their wedding and star presence diverts attention from them. The shows might be keeping her busy, but come March and he will get back into her export business. What about acting? She says she isn't considering television at the moment as her Hindi isn't too good, but if an offer comes along to act with Hussain she will take it up. |
