The night was wrapped in a dark blanket and a long silence prevailed over the valley it was an abundant place , the bushes on the sides of the pathways that led to the palace was dried , while all the roses of the garden was dead and replaced by sharp thorny flower , there was no light or star to guide her , but she walked where he took her , his aroma filled the place , an unknown yet attractive fragrance that never left her sight she followed to where it could take her , while her bare foot crushed the grass below which was filled with cold dew drops , it had been hundred of years since the place had taken breath , an hundred years since the leaves of the tree shook , a hundred years the soul had been repenting and regretting they waited for her and so did he , in a hope but she was completely unaware of what was supposed to happen with her or what actually happened with her ? as she continued to work and finally stopped as the water of the river kissed her toes , she looked down at the water , it was all quite with small waves , she bend down to look closer into the water but felt a strong wind pushing her , she lost her balance and fell down on the river , she tried to swim up but felt her hands and legs chained to something she felt herself drowning as only fainted words could be heard a language she did not understand she struggle for breath as she flung her hands all over trying to make an escape but all went in vain as she summiting herself to the dead closed her eyes , just when she felt herself in a warm embrace and a clear whisper

"a pleasing land of drowsy head it was , of dreams that wave before the half shut eye , and a gay of castles in the clouds that pass , for ever flushing round a summer land"

Her eyes opened as it lay on the window the rain drops had peacefully settled down on the window , she looked around there was nothing no forest , no rivers , no person everything vanished into the thin air as she sat up on her soft comfortable bed and gulped down a glass of cold water , she covered her head in her palms it was happening again each day of each month on each year she gets this same dream , not even a night could she sleep peacefully each night she woke with this horrifying sight her parents did take her to doctor but he addressed it as aqua phobia but she knew it was far much more than just what they had predicted , by now she understood it was something or rather someone call to her but the mystery was still not solved , a part of her life was still in a mess , a link she wanted to find something that was so incomplete she needed to complete it , her minds was blank as lone tears escaped her eyes wondering why was she haunted by this dream, just then her ringtone disturbed into her thought ,she jumped on her bed with fright as after regaining her sense she answered the call as the caller info showed it was her best friend Ritika , at first she wondered what was the reason for her to call so late at night but putting this at the back of her head she answered the call as she heard a squeal from her and said

RITIKA:happy birthday manni

for instant she was quite she neither she did not know how to react to this , as the truth was she herself had forgotten her own birthday but then she passed a sweet smile and said in her weak voice

MANYATA:thanks rits

RITIKA:i think you are sleepy ok so meet you tomorrow for the first day of college

MANYATA:yes bye

she disconnected the phone and looked at the photo kept on the side table as she mumbled with a sweet smile to the smiling couple in the frame who were her parents

MANYATA:happy birthday to me

she kept the photo upside down and tugged herself inside the thick layers of blanket and just closed her eyes to sleep when she felt someone 's footsteps her heart skipped beats as she heard them closer and closer , she closed her eyes in fright as she felt someone caressing her cheek , she woke up with a fright and screamed just to shock her parents , as after sometime realizing the little incident the thrio laughed there lungs out , Rajesh and Puja had come to wish there little daughter a happy birthday but it did end up quite eventful as they pulled her in their embrace and said
