Hey caught up with parts 41,42,43 ... really even I thought Maan is a jerk ... but then he proved it wrong 😳 he went to such extents to make it special for Geet and finally confessed ⭐️

loved Geet and Maan's birthday celebration ... loved Ishita how she supported Geet ❤️

now what's up with Ishita and Ranveer 😕

*Geet's POV*

When we were on the train for returning i chose to sit with Ishita much to Maan's annoyance i was. He was giving me those pity puppy dog look but i ignored.

"If looks could kill your boyfriend will be accused of murder " Ishita said looking at Maan.

"Ignore him. lets talk" i said

"What talk?" she asked narrowing her eyebrows.

"About why you are showing cold shoulders to Ranveer " i asked

"Don't you think its the other way around?" she asked

I turned to look at Ranveer who was sitting with Ram chatting as if everything was casual.

"A fight again?" i asked

"More of argument" she said

"Spill it then" i said

"well... its complicated " she said

"maybe i could help" i suggested

"this time its not my fault so why don't you ask your best friend " Ishita said

Well that was the next step anyways. I was planning to ask Ranveer. I am sure he will not be able to lie. Even if he plays everything is fine i will talk him into confessing.

Ranveer was no more sitting near Ram so i went in search of him near the door when i was pulled suddenly nailed to the wall.

"awww" i cried when i hit my head slightly.

"serves you right for ignoring me" i heard Maan say.

"I am involved in bigger mission" i said scrunching my nose.

"barbie doll your lover boy is suffering alone and all you care is other's love story" he said

I rolled my eyes listening to him complain like a baby.

"Maan its your brother " i said

"I know barbie doll but they will take care of themselves now you take care of me " he said smiling looking down at my lips.

" I am not going to kiss you in public place " i said with wide warning eyes.

"This is not public place this is my lips" he said pointing to his lips " that you have grown used to since long" he winked

"Maan " i scolded hitting his arms playfully.

"just one" he said raising his hand as if sowing one

"NOO"

"i will help you " he said pleading.

I looked at him suspeciously, but he made a cute pleading face that i have to give in.

I put my hand around his neck, i was about to lean forward to kiss him.

"Gosh!!! Get a room" i heard Ranveer swear under his breath.

Maan glared at his brother annoyed while i giggled.

"Do you realize you have people around?!!" Ranveer said with a look of disbelief.

" Nay... this is called blind in love " Maan said smirking.

"you are corrupting innocent Geet " Ranveer said standing between us.

"And how do you spell innocent again!?" Maan asked looking at me with fake horror look.

I hit his arm playfully.

"spare me with details " Ranveer waved dismissively and was about to walk away when i stopped him.

"i need to talk to you, its urgent " i said

"but that can wait till the kiss, right?" Maan asked

I glared at him and it defo worked.

"i know what you want to ask but i am not going to talk about it yet" Ranveer said

"Ranveer " i raised my eyebrows

"Fine later when we reach home " Ranveer said

I smiled at my success. I know he wouldn't be able to say no to me because he likes me as a little sister.

" And that glare seems to shut the khurannas up" Maan said once Ranveer walked away.

"Charm it is " i said kissing the air like a model.

"So where were we ?" Maan asked waggling his eyebrows.

"Later when we reach home" i mimicked Ranveer's voice and ran away.

I was more than eager to reach home and settle so that i can talk to Ranveer. Ishitha and Ranveer helped me a lot when i had issues with Maan and now i want to help them genuinely.

I knocked at Maan's room when i showered.

"owww barbie doll missed me already?" he asked pulling me into hug.

"I am going to meet Ranveer and i want you to come with me :" i said

"ufff " Maan whined.

"Come on moron Khuranna " i pulled him with me.

" not gonna give up, are you?" Ranveer asked when we showed up at his room.

"I just love being cupid " i chipped.

"Tell us what it is already i am sleepy " Maan said once he settled himself in Ranveer's bed.

"Well... i ... i got paid internship from XYZ company" Ranveer announced.

I looked at Ranveer surprised without blinking. That company is the best in the world.

"You must be kidding " Maan said reflecting my expression.

"That is crazy... wow" i said

"Thanks ...but" he trailed off

"but?"

" after six months they are sending me to do my MS from Germany after which i have to work for them for two years with contract. It promises awesome career and handsome salery. They will also finance my research" Ranveer said with the glow in his eyes i know how happy he is.

"Why didn't you tell us before?" i asked

"I got call only yesterday afternoon. I haven't told mom and dad yet, its only you guys and Ishu of course" Ranveer said

"Then why was she upset?" Maan asked

"i actually... well for next three years i will be able to visit india only once in six months" Ranveer said

That is sad. Very sad.

"So she wants you to give up?" Maan asked

"No... not that... she wants you know... security " he said

"brief" i said

Ranveer sighed deeply.

"She wants us to get engaged" Ranveer said

"seriously? That is crazy bro" Maan said

"i know " Ranveer agreed

"nonsense... she is absolutely reasonable" i said

They both looked at me as if i was talking greek and latin.

"what?" i asked

"come on Geet...you can't be serious" Ranveer said

" I can't believe you are being insensitive" i said

"barbie doll... it's foolish ... why engagement " Maan asked

"Know what... you guys are foolish " i said stressing the last word." She is not stopping you, she is happy for your career success, she is supporting you, all she ask is a rock in hand and you find that unreasonable? I can't believe you share this thought Ranveer " i said shooting a look of displeasure at Ranveer.

Ranveer dipped his head down probably thinking what i said.

" it doesn't mean she is insecure, its just that she needs something to hold on, to know that you have some kind of commitment on her, she belongs to you... girls need these kind of small things to keep them going" i said

"But engagement is over board" Maan said

I glared at him.

" Someday you have to tell your parents about you and ishitha and eventually you guys will have to get engaged so why not now? " i asked

"i..." Ranveer was at loss of words.

I went near Ranveer and held his shoulder.

"Just imagine yourself in ishitha's shoes, everything will make sense."I said

With that me and Maan went to our respective rooms giving Ranveer his space.

Next day i found Ranveer and Maan standing at my doorstep early morning. I looked at Maan and raised my eyebrows as if asking what happened. He just shrugged as if telling he doesn't know.

" What is it Ranveer? " i asked

"Maybe you are right, i should tell mom and dad about us" Ranveer said

My smile widened .

"That sounds like the Ranveer i know" i said

"brave man ah" Maan teased

"but ... i am a bit... you know ...nervous " Ranveer added

"Its so simple brother... man up " Maan cheered.

" Geet can you come with me ?" he asked

"yeah but why?" i asked

"well you are good at these practical lectures if mom and dad doesn't agree you can give them infamous Geet lecture " he said

Maan cracked up hearing this while i glared at both the brothers. Who am i anyways? Old witty witch?

Uncle and aunty were very happy when Ranveer said about the offer from ABC company. Once the initial excitement ended, he looked at me nervously and i squeezed his hands asking him to continue.

"Mom , dad , i love a girl " he said looking nervous

" Love ? " Khuranna uncle raised his eyebrows

"well... its been long time... i am serious about her ...so i thought before i go out of India i... i make it official..." he said

"who is it son?" Khuranna uncle asked

"you know her as well ..." before Ranveer could complete Aunty shrieked like a excited kid.

"I knew it " she said grinning ear to ear.

Really!!! I gave her a curious look.

" its Geet, right... i always knew she will be my eldest daughter in law" she said

"What?!!"
