A Time To Celebrate: ME Aug 10

Wow! What a long but engaging episode of QH today. This is how ME should be. Hats off to the creative team, all the actors and Zee for putting it together and moving the story ahead with a positive spin to the Jashn-e-Eid.

At the end of the three hours, my response was: These guys must be exhausted…phew. Can they all have a vacation?

Highlights for me:

1. Ghafoor agreeing to participate in the Jashn because it was Eid and he had already committed to attend the function. For the world, Ghafoor is willing to bend his rules as long as he appears righteous and large hearted.

2. Razia getting caught in a place where three of her nemeses were present- Tanveer, Badi Bi and Zoya.

3. Vikram's truth revealed to Ayaan and Rajni. Great fight scene by the way.

4. Nikhat's statement to najma: mere hisse ki mehndi tum hi laga lo- broke my heart

5. Imran's emotional blackmail of Najma continues. He is a weak man and making Najma weaker by his tears and emotional drama. Imran shying away from Nikhat just shows what a weak man he is. I still can't empathize with him.

6. Asad, Zoya's pillar was there for her today. For him, the whole function just served one purpose- Zoya's happiness. Their hug was heart warming. Asad needs to give these to Zoya from time to time especially once the truth about her abbu comes out. She will need plenty of those.

7. Dilshaad-Rashid awkwardness and Rashid's yearning for Dilshaad.

8. Zoya, the icebreaker between the two families when they came face to face. Of course, foreshadowing her role in future.

9. I actually loved Tanveer today because she messed up Razia's plans big time and in the end couldn't even get her 2 Crore bribe because Zoya messed her plans.

10. My favorite scene # 1: Ghafoor Zoya interactions. Loved the way Zoya convinced him to check the picture. At first, he was really cold and disinterested but something about Zoya's innocence, her big eyes and her words made his heart melt. Goes to show that Ghafoor will have a hard time resisting the affection of his daughter.

11. Favorite scene # 2: Badi Bi reveal and how the family responded. Loved how Rashid kissed his mother's hands, thanked Asad-Zoya, Dilshaad's happiness when Rashid thanked AsYa (she will always want good relations between father and son) and then Badi Bi's silent blessing for Zoya.

12. Now the million dollar questions:

- Will Ghafoor punish Razia at home? My answer NO. Ghafoor is a hypocrite and what he says and does are usually not in sync. He hasn't punished her for murdering Zainab and giving Zoya away, this sin is nothing in comparison.

- Will Ghafoor find out who his daughter is? Perhaps. Is that why he left his music box there? Time will tell. I am not sure.

- Precap: Asad placing her earring and Zoya getting a little turned on as she thinks he will kiss her?

Asya scenes were amazing

glad dadi gave blessings to zoya

but di zoya wasnt alone in finding her asad too was there

i was waiting to see dadi grandson scene

abt precap i guess asad is trying to mess with her

yeah...let's see but I think they are just trying to make Zoya more aware of these feelings
