Khul Ja Sim Sim at KVM: Some parents not keen
Ludhiana, August 24: HUSSAIN, the small screen's star, is coming to
the city on August 28 for a show titled Khul Ja Sim Sim at Kundan
Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines. But unlike his popular show on Star Plus,
here everybody does not seem to be going ga ga over being among the
audience for the show. In fact, a number of city residents whose
children study in the school have opposed the move of the school
authorities to make students buy tickets for the show.
These parents complained to Newsline that the school has told the
students that if they want to attend the show, they have to buy a
ticket worth Rs 200. ''And if a parent wants to come with the child
too, the ticket for one parent will cost Rs 250,'' says a parent who
does not want to be identified. ''But the problem is that children
are forcing their parents to buy these tickets. At Rs 500 for a
couple and Rs 200 for a child, it is too expensive for a middle class
family,'' complained a parent.
However, KVM Principal S C Saxena asserts that students have not been
forced to buy the tickets. ''It is entirely a voluntary decision,''
he points out. Principal Saxena adds that the programme, which is
free for students of Nursery class, has been organised by Literacy
India, a Delhi-based NGO which imparts free education to poor
chilldren. ''The collection made through the tickets will be given to
the NGO. The school will not keep any part of it. Our sole purpose
for providing the school ground to this NGO for holding the show is
to entertain our students. And this is strictly for the students of
our school only, for their parents and some dignitaries.''
Saxena highlighted that KVM has about 5,000 students on its
rolls. ''We hope that about 700-800 students will buy the tickets
voluntarily and enjoy the three-hour show.''
😕 r these ppl crazy or sumthing.. 3 hrz ke liye hu ko daikh sakte hain 😃.. aur woh bhi LIVE 😃.. in only Rs 200/250 n they think its too much 😕.. uhhh neway all i can say is ludhiana ppl r damn lucky!!! hu lahore kab ao gay 😭 these ppl rnt willin to pay Rs200/250 i wud even die to watch hu LIVE for 3 LONG HRZ😛
