| Whether it's Mishti in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai, or the mean Tripti in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi, Suvarna Jha makes her presence felt. Now she's bagged one more role as Karuna in Kasamh Se. "It is nice playing any role, negative or positive. My only concern is it should be a good role," she says candidly. In Kasamh Se, her role may look negative but it is not so. "I play Karuna who is Jai Walia's cousin. At the moment everyone has turned against Jai Walia because of his one night stand with Pia. I'm his sister who knows the truth and is with him all along. It's a positive character," she explains. She plays an elderly character in Kyunki… and here too she is the mum of a grown up girl. "Age is no big deal in serials. As long as the character is good, I am happy. Among the three strong characters I played — Mishti, Karuna and Tripti — my favourite role is that of Mishti as it gradually grew from positive to negative," she explains. Not many are aware that Suvarna Jha played an interesting, strong role in Sshshhh which happened to be the debut film of Kajol's sister Tanisha. It also had Dino Morea. The film had a couple of other newcomers too but Suvarna stood out in the crowd. However, Suvarna says she has no plans of doing movies in the near future. "No, not at all.
