Zee Tv Subscription

Hello friends,

As my yearly Zee Tv subscription nears its end at the end of this month, I'm in two minds whether or not to subscribe again.

I know a lot of people will think I'm nave but I only watch Kasamh Se, no disrespect to the other shows. My 155 annual fee seems like it's only for Kasamh Se…

The current trend of the serial is so disturbing, I only watch the scenes of Jai Walia & Bani, flicking the channel as and when Psychotic Pia plans her evil schemes taking up 50% of the airtime each day, the advertisements take the other 30%, so I'm left with only 20% if that of my daily Jai & Bani fix.

The current storyline is so revolting, horrible and degrading as it's painful to watch.

The characters worked so hard at the beginning to create the magic of the show, only now to kill it.

It was a highlight of the day for me when I used to come home from work thinking that at 8.30pm, Kasamh Se is coming on, Yipee.

Now, the feeling is dead, the characters that made the show so unique are dying a painful death at the hands of the creatives of the show. The show is no longer a family orientated love story between Jai Walia & Bani Dixit and their struggles.

It's now about illegal relationships that are forbidden in our culture. How do I explain this to my nieces who ask me "Auntie, why is Mr Walia with Pai, when Pia is married with Pushkar and why is Pia saying her child is Jai's when Jai is her brother in law"…?

That is the time when I somehow explain to them that "You have to go school tomorrow and no more Kasamh Se today kids… I'll explain what happened today later…" but they love the show so much, it hurts when I'm at a loss to explain the current situation of the storyline. My nieces come over to my house promptly at 8.28pm on the dot so they don't miss a second of this now horrible show.

Since the terrible One Night Stand story, the show has lost everything, wasn't the show about 3 girls coming to a big city helping each other? More like, 3 sisters coming to a big city and trying to kill each other!!

I so just want to see Jai & Bani together it hurts. As this won't happen anytime soon and only god knows what Terrible Tarun is up to, with Psychotic Pia and her schemes….

That's it, Zee Tv will be told later this week to not renew my subscription.

If Mr Walia is reading this, please sir, do something as we love you so much it hurts. Stop this nonsense and get back with Bani ASAP!!! When that happens, I'll be the happiest person in the whole wide world, so will be my nieces…

Hi there you are in the same predicament, as us. I am also thinking of cancelling Zee tv. Maybe we should write to the people at Zee if you get the contact person maybe we can all write to them and express our distaste, afterall we are paying them DAMMIT 😭

As KS was the only show that my sis and I watched and no one else watched zee i cancelled zee. My mum made me write the following letter to zee US customer service

Thanks for getting back to me. I have called my operator and cancelled my subscription. I have also urged other family members to do so. I do not want our children to have such negative impressions of what Indian society is. My cousin mentioned after watching Kasam Se that she is glad "she does not have a sister". I was horrified at the implication of that. We get Indian channels in this country to give exposure to what we feel is the Indian culture. Sad to say programs like Kasam Se make mockery of everything that we hold dear as values from India and progagate a sick feeling in the stomach. I know it is a soap but there is a limit to the depravation that is shown. If I wanted to imbue western culture in my children I would just let them follow American soaps. The Indian culture that I want them to be exposed to is not the glorification of drugging and sleeping with sisters husbands and blackmailing with abortion of a child and than show the character traumatize sister/mother for own gains and get away with it all and win. If this is what I wanted to teach my children I will let them watch Jerry Springer show. I got zee TV for Kasam Se as it initially showed loving family relationships and honesty and integrity. Now I am cancelling Zee TV because KS is showing all my value systems being decimating one by one everyday.

Where I live in NY we only get Zee and ITV on cable. We would have to get dish for the others and Dish does not setup in some of the Manhattan buildings.

Why is star plus worse. Don't get me wrong I know they have to take twists and turns to get the story going. I say bring on the affairs (just not with BIL who is the husband of someone who is like your mother )etc. But the way they destroyed sibling relationships and the continuing decimation of human emotions relentlessly for 4 months is just gross. It's been like chinese water torture.
