Chapter Four

"Hi mom! I'm missing you!" said Taani on the phone.

"Kya hua? Mere chirpy doll ke friends nahi bane?" asked her mom.

"Aisi baat nahi hai, pehle hi din teen friends bane" said Taani.

"Toh meri yaad kyun aa rahi hai bhala?" said her mom giggling.

"Very funny mom!" Taani mocked.

"So how was your first day in college?" asked her mom, excitement filled in her voice.

"Aaj ka din! Life mein kabhi nahi bhulne wali!" said Taani dramatically.

"Kyu aisa kya hua?" she asked eagerly.

Taani told her mom everything about how she met Rey, Swayam and Sharon; and how she fought with Rey and also Rey's apology.

"Rey! He seems to be a sweet guy" said her mom.

"Voh jitna sweet hai utna hi jyada flirt bh hai. He said that he is going to reach 'one lakh' mark soon!" exclaimed Taani.

"He may be a flirt but he surely does respects and loves everyone. As koi aur hota toh sorry bolne kabhi nahi aata." said her mom.

"Sahi kaha. He is also a mind reader. Pata nahi kaise but usse pata chal gaya ki mein apne Mr. Right ko dhundh rahi hu." said Taani.

"Taani tumne toh kaha ki tumhare teen friends bane hai, par tum toh sirf Rey ke gun-gaan gaa rahi ho. Kahi uska charm toh nahi chal gaya tumpe?" teased her mom.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai! Mom I'm keeping the phone. Aap na kuch jyada hi sochti ho" saying this Taani cut the call.

"Hey darling, aap kya khana pasand karogi?" Rey asked his mom.

"Cooking ka bhoot sawar ho gaya janab pe, not bad!" said his mom.

"Meri taraf se treat hi samajh lo!" said Rey smiling.

This confused her, "What treat?" she asked.

"Aaj aapke bete ne century maari hai!" said Rey.

"Rey tune maths lectures bunk kiya hai uska yeh natija hai! Cent matlab 100 hota hai not 99!" said Swayam entering.

"Tu count karta hai! Shocking!" exclaimed Rey and continued, "Waise tune kisko minus kiya?" he asked.

"Taani ko. As vo tumse baat karne toh bilkul bhi nahi aayi thi!" said Swayam.

"Tere maths lectures attend karke bhi kuch fayda nahi hua! Meine usse count kiya bhi nahi tha!" said Rey.

"Rey, I guess you were making something! Mujhe bohot bhook lagi hai" she said to stop their argument, "waise yeh Taani kaun hai?" she asked.

"New student! And meri new assistant!" said Swayam.

"Rey tum Taani ko call karke bol do ki kal college jaldi aana hai" said Swayam.

"Mein kyun bolu? Aur mere paas uska number bhi nahi hai!" said Rey.

"Rey, mere bhai please maan ja. Sharon ka call aane wala hai and I don't want to upset her. Yeh le Taani ka number aur usse call karde" pleaded Swayam.

Rey agreed. He called Taani.

"Hello" she said.

"Hey Taani, Rey here!" he said.

"Hi Rey! Itne raat ko call kiya kuch urgent tha?" she asked.

"Haan vo kal college jaldi aana tha, yeh batane ke liye call kiya." he said.

"Ok mein aa jaungi." she said, "Good Night"

"Good Night. Sweet Dreams" he said and disconnected the call.

"Bol diya meine usse" said Rey to Swayam.

"Thanx dude!" said Swayam.

After a few more talks they finished their dinner and went to their respective rooms. Rey felt asleep as soon as he lay on his bed, while Swayam was busy talking to his lady love on the phone.

Taani was lying on her bed thinking about her day.

'Kisine bhi friends aise nahi banaye hoge!' she thought, 'Poor Swayam usko meine kya kuch nahi kaha. Sharon, the Diva, she is the perfect girl on earth and lucky too to have a boyfriend like Swayam. Both make a cute pair. Rey, he's really very sweet. Itni raat ko call kiya just to inform ki kal college jaldi aana hai. But GS toh Swayam hai, toh fir Rey ne call kyu kiya? Kya mein koi special hu?' after a few minutes of thinking, 'Taani tu jyada hi soch rahi hai! Tu kaise special hogi uske liye! Rey itna handsome aur flirt hai ki uski bohot saari girlfriendS hogi!' Taani had a frown on her face. 'Mujhe kyun bura lag raha hai! Mom ki baato ka asar! Taani, jaldi se so jaa, warna tu pagal ho jayegi!!'

The night darkened and all souls were deep asleep in their beautiful dreams.
