Bhavisya and his family? What will their defence be for abusing Saraswati? And what is their secret? Who will be the person who digs deeper and discovers it? Personally I think he beat a woman to death and they paid the authorities to keep it quiet. Could be that Satyakam knows about it...

On another issue - there have been lots of posts about people hating the show. These have been left open because members are entitled to their opinions, but they are some members (myself included) who watch the show because it shows a painful reality of society we are not normally exposed to. As unpleasant as it may be to watch sometimes, it is only a TV show, and the message is what should be taken seriously.

Looking forward to your responses.

Hi Priya,

I don't know if anyone remembers, but at the begining of the episode when Saraswati was about to get engaged to Bhavishya, there was a fiasco that Laxmi brought up about seeing Bhavishya with another woman. Menka tricked everyone by saying that Saras was having an affair with Kshitij, but Bapuji put an end to that. B's mom said they didn't have much choice because "apna hi sika khota ho to" or something like that. So basically, I think that BHavishya has history beating up previous girlfriends or possibly even as lowly as murder. my prediction, but let's see what happens. I'm glad that her father is standing up for her though i am also a little upset that he is sending her back without investigating what happened further. I hate how he gets charmed by Menka so quickly just bec she bore him a son. I hope the Yuvraj and Kajri thing comes out in front of him so Menka and Baa are embarassed that being a son he didn't uphold the "family's honor" and yet these other girls of the house did uphold it. I just want to see Menka and Baa accept that they are being sexist and that it doesn't always mean that just cause you have a boy, your family honor has increased. I agree with you on the message of the show that though they may not portray some of the things in a likeable manner, it is the meaning that we should look at not the fictional story line.

😆 I think Surayakant loves the Man ego but how come he listen to Menca as she is a female. second, This is wrong on Saraswati role she has to take all the crap from the male ego no Matter it's father or a husband. They should show a women is a strong lot like Menca.

The bhabhishaya should get punish by Surayakant.
The old Fag, Ma of Surayakant, should be in jail with Menca and Bhabhishaya as well with Bhibhshaya parents. Guy 😉

Hi fellow members,

It appears that Suryakant has finally stood up for Saraswati, and is taking her home, after finding out about her beatings. Hopefully he'll also get hold of Daraben and her useless husband for ratifying Bhavisya's abuse of Saraswati.

Don't you think that he should realise his mistake too...he is not physically abusing his wife but mentally he is...🤢Shouldn't he apologise to Chanchal coz now he realises how painful it can be when ur loved ones are hurt

Now, I think that as bad a father as he is, he has never physically abused either his wives or daughters. No matter what a father is a father, and if his child is being abused for no reason he will do something. He even stood up to Ba and got new jewellery made for Saraswati when Yuvraj stole them. Could there genuinely be some affection for the girls in Suryakant's heart?

I agree to this point of yours that a father is a father afterall...but again.... it was his duty to inquire about the boy at first before giving him his daughter....it was his moral responibity to make sure that whatever Lakshmi is saying he should have tried to find what truth is

What about Saraswati? I think she'll force her parents to let her return to that pathetic husband. Will she be happy to return home, something of a disgrace for her? Will she be able to bear the taunts of the family? Will duty and loyalty force her to retun to Bhavisya?

Its a serial and has to continue...but I think she should leave Bhavishya and get married to Xitij and he can keep her happy

How will this affect Laxmi? Seeing as Bhavisya and Satyakam are brothers, the relationship between the two families will deteriorate greatly after Suryakant confronts them. I don't see Suryakant ever accepting Satya's relationship with Laxmi.

I don't even think he should....no matter how nice Satyakam is but his family comes in a package deal right😉

I agree to you that we should take the message from this

HE ROCKED in the scene when he told Bhavishya to back off as he was a habitual wife beater and to deal with him.
He was a force to reckon with then.

That showed his paternal side when he said I'm strict with my girls but never expected them to be hurt in any way.

I personally believe that Suryakant is a fair man but steeped in tradition. Our generation sees his point of view as old fashioned but they are really not that far off.

1. He still defers to his mother as the oldest in the house. But when called on, he over rides her not out of disrespect but when his honour is at stake.

2. He balances between the 2 wives, but obviously the more dominant one is who he responds to as she convinces him with practicality. [ Only we see the other side of her - he doesn't]

3. He never hurt his wife or daughters physically and places restrictions to protect them as any concerned father would. He indulges them though not in a obvious manner.

4. The issue with Lakshmi and Satyakam in the cottage when the car broke down in the rains - he did not let anyone say anything to her and understood the circumstances. Any father {even from this time} will worry if his daughter is out that late.

5. If he was truly a dictator Menaka would be under his thumb [ which we know is not the case]. Savithri only stands and cries. If she gets a backbone to standup for her rights she will not be walked over.

6. He believes he is the provider of the family and works hard to provide for all their needs ( imagine providing for 9 women + 1 idiotic son + menaka's viperous brother].
