~~ ab dooriyan itni hai toh...
manvi opened her eyes and found herself still sitting on the floor where she sat when virat left. this very moment she realised that virat hasnt returned yet because everytime she fell asleep at any place other than her bed, she would wake on the bed every morning... virat would carry her to the bed in his arms. manvi stood up and looked around to find virat but he wasnt there.
manvi : where are you virat...?? are u that angry from me that u didnt even return home...?? ab main kya karun...??? why are you doing this to me virat...?? why are you making things difficult to me... i love you virat... come back to me... please come back jaan...
manvi called virat but he didnt recieve any.
manvi : 40 times... 40 times i called you... why arent u picking up my calls...?? for god sake virat, what is wrong...??? i hope you are fine... ab main karun..?? virat tumne kuch kia toh nahi na... shitt agar tumhe kuch ho gaya toh main... toh main kya karungi... i... i..i need to find you... nahi... nahi i cannot let this happen... you cannot leave me... tum gusse mein mujhe chod nahi sakte...
manvi burst into tears as the thought of being away from virat crossed her mind... she cannot afford to get rejected by virat... she cannot let her marriage fail at any cost...
vanshika : manvi...
manvi ran to vanshika and hugged her still crying.
vanshika : manvi... what happened...??
manvi : maa... maa virat...
vanshika : shh... everything will be fine... (vanshika broke the hug and wiped manvi's tears)
manvi : maa we... we had an argument... he left...
vanshika : i know... dont worry manvi...
manvi : he didnt come back home... maa he...
vanshika : manvi... stop crying... i will call virat... and now u go n wake up kasak... uska school hai na aaj...
manvi : hmm...
manvi composed herself and went to kasak's room...
manvi : kasa- (manvi stopped in mid way)
manvi saw virat sleeping on kasak's bed beside her. manvi felt as if she found her whole world and ran to virat. she wanted to hug him and cry but thought of not disturbing his sleep.
manvi : kasu... get up my baby... (caressing kasak's hair)
kasak : umm...
manvi : cmon baby... its morning... get up... school bhi toh jaana hai na...
kasak : jaana hai...
manvi : get up then... at the count of three... i..2..3..
kasak : main uth gayi... godi...
manvi took kasak in her lap and kissed her cheek and so did kasak. kasak hugged manvi and manvi just kept looking at virat. kasak on not finding manvi's attention on her looked at manvi's face and then followed her gaze.
kasak : dad... why is he sleeping in my room...???
manvi : huh... he was missing you dats why...
kasak got up and went towards virat and kissed his forehead and instanly virat opened his eyes...
kasak : good morning dad...
virat : go- (looked at manvi who was blankly looking at him) good morning my princess...
kasak : you were missing me last night...
virat : yes baby... chalo now get ready for school...
kasak : okk... mumma... (going towards manvi)
manvi : virat...
virat said nothing and left the room without even looking at manvi... this behaviour from virat hurted manvi so much that she for a moment thought of ending her life but next moment the thought of kasak refrained her from even thinking something like this...
manvi : come lets get ready...
kasak : mumma... why is dad sad...??
manvi : sad... no baby... dad isnt sad...
kasak : okk...
manvi got kasak ready for school when she found virat sitting at the breakfast table with vanshika and vikram (her father-in-law) all ready to leave for office...
vikram : virat how come today you are ready so early...??
virat : i have some important work to complete dad...
kasak : daadu...
vikram : come my princess... how are you...??
kasak : main toh theek hoon... aap kab aaye chingakur se...
vikram : my sweetheart its singapore... i came back in the morning beta...
kasak : ohh... daaadu mere liye kya laye...??
vikram : daadu apni grand daughter liye chocolates laye... dresses laaye...
kasak : woww... thank you...
vikram : anytime...
manvi : good morning papa ji...
vikram : good morning manvi... sab theek beta...??
manvi (looking at virat) : ji papa...
vanshika : manvi come sit and eat breakfast...
manvi : nahi maa... mann nahi hai...
virat : kasak eat fast baby... i have to go office after dropping you...
manvi : virat...
virat : why dont you drop kasak to school dad...??? i am getting late...
vikram : dont worry... i will... you go son...
virat : thanks dad... bye maa...
virat turned to leave when kasak held his finger...
virat : what happened...???
kasak : you didnt say bye to me... (making a cute pout)
virat : oohhh my baby... bye (kissing her cheek)
kasak : bye dad... mumma ko bye nah- dad to chale gaye daadi...
virat left the house without even listening to what kasak was saying. vanshika watched this quietly and made a note of talking to manvi later.
vikram : cmon ms. vadera today you daadu will drop you to school...
kasak : woww...
manvi : i ill drop her papa ji... u came home at morning only... you take rest...
vikram : its okkk dont worry...
manvi : no papa ji... i insist...
vikram : okk go...
manvi : come baby... say bye to daddi daadu...
manvi was driving while kasak was sitting on the passenger seat playing with the remote of the cd player... increasing the volume once and then decreasing it...
manvi : stop it kasak...
kasak immediately left the remote as she was scared seeing manvi like this.. for the first time ever she shouted on kasak... kasak looked down and had tears in her eyes. manvi drove without looking at kasak until they reached school.
manvi : why are u crying baby...?? mumma is sorry baby... kasak... look at me...
kasak : i am sorry mumma... (crying and hugging manvi)
manvi : mumma shouted on you... i am sorry... now stop crying... good girls dont cry baby...
kasak : mumma i love you...
manvi : i love you too (manvi wiped kasak's face and kissed all over her face) now go smiling... okk
kasak : okkk
manvi sat there in the car for minutes thinking how everything just changed... how everything is slipping like sand from her tight grip... how she is losing control over her life... how everything is on the verge of splitting into pieces. manvi turned her car to return home when she thought of talking to virat for once. so she decided to go to the office and sort out things as soon as possible.
"good morning ma'am " the receptionist greeted manvi.
manvi : morning sanjana...
sanjana : ma'am may i know where you are going...??
manvi : excuse me...
sanjana : ma'am actually sir has given me strict orders to not let anybody in and he even said he doesnt want any calls right now...
manvi : i am going to my husband's cabin... it would be better if u just sit here and entertain others...
sanjana : ma'am but its my job...
manvi : f**k your job...
sanjana : i am sorry ma'am but please...
manvi : just shut up and lets see how you stop me...
manvi stormed into virat's cabin without even knocking and saw him busy with a client.
manvi : virat i -
virat : this is not your bedroom mrs. vadera... will you please excuse us...?? there is a meeting going on...
manvi : virat i wanted to talk to you...
virat smiled at the client and went to manvi. virat dragged her a little towards the door and held her hand tightly and said gritting his teeth " dont create a scene manvi... go now "
manvi quietly turned and left the office. she wasnt speaking but the tears in her eyes were speaking volumes. she never thought in the worsest of the nightmare that her virat would talk to her in this manner...
manvi disheartedly returned home and directly went to her room. she fell on the bed and broke into tears with one thought scaring her... the thought of her beautiful life taking an ugly turn. vanshika saw manvi's condition and decided against talking to her...
vanshika : i shouldnt interfere... i believe my children to sort out their issues on their own with utmost maturity.
after sometime
the bell rang and manvi opened the door.
manvi : yes...
man : maam this is for mrs. manvi vadera... (holding a beautiful bouquet of white roses)
manvi : i am mrs. manvi vadera... who sent this...???
man : the person didnt tell his name maam... (giving the bouquet to manvi)
manvi : thank u...
manvi looked at the bouquet and it had a "im sorry" tag and it brought a smile on manvi's face. as she was about to go to her room, the doorbell rang again.
man : ma'am flowers for mrs. vadera...
manvi (smiling) : thank you...
this time the flowers had a "i love you" tag.
manvi : i love you too virat...
this particular gesture made manvi happy again and she got back to her routine. preparing food, bringing kasak from school, pampering her princess, loving her, making her do her homework, and doing everything she did everyday from last 3 years. whole day long, she waited for virat to even call her but no... not a call... not even a message...
manvi : i understand you might be busy... its okk virat... bas ab jaldi aa jao... (looking at the time in her mobile) its almost 9 pm... where are you virat...?? bas ab aur der mat karo... please...
vanshika : manvi...
manvi : aai mom...
vanshika : beta join us for dinner... virat called and said he will be late...
manvi : he called you...
vanshika : yes... eat something beta... u havent eaten anything today manvi...
manvi : mom i will put kasak to sleep first... and dad also isnt home yet...
vanshika : the son father duo is busy in office... god knows in which meeting...
manvi : i will be back mom...
kasak's room
manvi : stop playing baby... lets sleep now...
kasak : but dad isnt home yet... how can i sleep like that...??
manvi : dad is busy sweetie... he will be late today...
kasak : late again...
manvi : hmm... late again...
kasak : toh fir cartoon dekhein...???
manvi : no cartoon... now sleep kasu...
kasak : but -
manvi : no if n no buts... shh... come on my princess will now sleep...
