Sonia, that was keeping my attention. I liked her dress in the first episode. It is an expensive dress and maybe that's why CVs are making the best use of it. But change something at least - either lehenga, blouse or chunri to make it look different. That was taking my attention from that morning scene with her mother that after sleeping in the same dress, she is wearing the same one next day too.Originally posted by: Soniaman
thanks angie for thoughts...Angie i am thinking the same.why cant they change sita s dress??she is princess and her dresses should be changed..
and i like the connection of ram and sita...mahadev and parvati are now lovegurus...but they are also great ...

😆 Its true, this mistake is often seen in serials, women sleep with heavy make up and jewlery on..About the dress, maybe all the scenes were shot in one day and they forgot to change it, lets hope they remember in the next days..
Myra, I think CVs are trying to maximize the use of the dress as they must have paid a bundle for this. But they saw her plucking fruits in that dress, her father making the decision to get her married and her eventually agreeing to it, and then doing Gauri puja, walking to Ganga shore (miles) and what not. Ok, I can accept that it was all done in one day, but at least change the dress next day.I have never understood this need to show women with heavy makeup and jewelry. In non-mythological shows, only a vamp will be shown wearing a proper night dress as if wearing a proper night dress with no jewelry makes the female lead equates her to a vamp. I understand that they are trying to emphasize that Sita is a princess. But even princesses will want to at least take off their heavy jewelry.
Regarding the Gods watching sita-ram, Angie, maybe there was a power cut and cable tv wasnt avaible, so they had to entertain themselves somehow, isnt it?!😆 That's a good explanation. Also they have nothing else to do at the moment. Where is Indra by the way? He is always pretty self-centered God and wouldn't be interested in pure romance, but I wouldn't mind seeing him again. I like this villainous Indra and actor playing him does a good job.
I liked the connection between Ram-Sita, Lovely and sweet..both actors are doing a superb job in giving that divine look to their characters.. i also liked Mahadev and Parvati scene...But..i know this is the way he should be, but does he always have to wear that snake around his neck?! it scares me, honestly...no ofense to anyone, this is just my honest opinion.I too like how they are showing the connection with both of them looking at the moon and Parvati/Mahadev getting reflected in that moon.Myra, this is how Shiv is portrayed in pictures that is actually a representation of major things about Shiv. I agree that Shiv/Parvati need privacy from the snake and the snake too must have his life to be with always Shiv. I mean among all this romance, wouldn't he like to meet his girlfriend or wife Mrs. Snake (joke in case anybody is offended). But if they show Shiv without the snake, they would get letters. I showed that Sunday ME to my little nephew who actually loved Ram/Taraka war with flying and multiplicative Ram. He was paying so much attention to Mahadev that he was asking me where his damru (little drum) was. My mother had gone to Haridwar (religious site) couple of months ago and got him that damru as a toy. So he now knows that this is Shiv plays this. He was only satisfied when he saw that little drum on Shiv's trishul. So for his sake, I am happy that the snake is being shown. Otherwise, he will just drive me crazy with his questions about why Shiv was without the snake. Snake part is the best thing he likes about Mahadev besides all the powers Mahadev has..
Thanks Angie for your random thoughts.
The scene that started with Sita not being able to sleep and sitting up on the bed and then Ram praying in front of the moon which changed to Shiv-Parvati in front of the same moon and then progressed to Shiv-Sati was shown very beautifully but I kept on thinking that whether Sita could not sleep because she was feeling the unknown pull from somewhere or because her heavy jewellery and clothes were poking her. I know that she is a pampered princess but surely however pampered a princess is, she will not go to sleep with all the jewellery and heavy clothes. I would have enjoyed that scene more if they had kept Sita simply dressed. Like you I also had the same question regarding Sita wearing the same clothes? Will the marriage also happen in the same clothes?Misti, I had the same problem. I liked the scene and its depiction. I liked Shiv-Sati scene too because I had only started watching Mahadev on and off since Parvati came in the picture. So I missed all those Shiv-Sati scenes. But all that jewellery and heavy clothes distracted me. Rubina looks so good with less jewelry that they could have easily shown her at least without those heavy necklaces and bangles. I was also thinking that she must be restless because of all this stuff. Then I don't understand that if her mother can be shown in a different dress, why can't Sita be shown having a different dress especially when it is clear that the scene in the garden is of next day.Regarding all the Gods not giving any privacy to Ram and Sita...😆...well this entire thing is being shown orchestrated by Shiv with Gauri as his main helper. So they will pay attention to see that everything is going according to their script.😉 As for the other Gods, since Shiva is directing this, they have got the best seats available to watch all this.😉 Yeah, they do. I guess Shiv as the main director and Gauri as the assistant director have to make sure that things do not get messed up. But those Gods...I guess they are the audience. How can Shiv/Parvati realize the success of their script if they do not get any audience. Ok...I will buy your explanation here. 😆Regarding Ram and Lakshman walking slowly that is because again Mahadev has told them to walk slowly. So that Ram can meet Sita and then Mahadev and Gauri can relive their romantic moments. 😉 Later on Mahadev will also make Ram walk like a warrior because Ram has to slay Ravan.😉I guess that is true. Ram could have plucked these flowers with one arrow, but he would have missed seeing Sita. Ok, as long as I get to see his warrior walk later on, I will be ok. I do like the background music they are playing for Sita and Ram.I liked the scene when the penny dropped on Ram that yagya was actually the swayamvar of Sita...I liked his expression.😆😉As it is he was more interested in the pull that he was feeling since Vishwamitra told him about the Yagya. This time he forgot everything about the dhanush and became more interested regarding "Sita", when before he told Vishwamitra that he was eager to see the dhanush.😉I was amused at his expressions where he was least concerned about all that praise and adulation from commoners and Janak. He was definitely more interested to know about Sita than the dhanush. Also liked Sita in the beginning...that at heart she is a young girl who is not much different from other young girls. She has an image of her dream man and deep in her heart she is hoping that her dream image and the qualities that her father is looking for in her future husband, become the same person.I am liking Sita's portrayal and her requirements for a dream husband. Though I have to say that some of requirements are meant to excuse Ram's future actions (looking for others interests before his other interests). I liked Gauri's questions that the requirements she listed were the ones her father wanted in her husband and about her own personal wishes about the husband. As for Ahilaya part...rishi Gautam realised his mistake and he did apologise to his wife...Although his wife forgave him but like you I also feel that it still does not excuse what he did. I sometimes wonder whether his real punishment is the fact that for generations after him people do question his actions and have not really excused him. That forgiveness was too easy. I like your idea that his punishment is that more than his accomplishments (writing that manual on justice), he is remembered as the one who did injustice to his wife. Nobody questions him about his punishment for Indra as that was needed. But his behavior towards his wife is always questioned.By the way did they reduce Rubina's make up?I think they definitely toned down her makeup because Rubina was looking especially pretty in the night scene.
