Hey guys I'm back with an OS on TaaRey. This idea had popped in my head recently so thought of writing it.😊
"What the hell does he think of himself! This time I won't forgive him!" said Taani angrily to herself.
By hearing the loud noise of the door Mrs. Priyanka Shekhawat (Taani's mother) came into the hall.
"Again a fight?" she asked calmly to Taani.
"Yes! But this time he has crossed all limits. You won't let him come in!" said Taani angrily.
"Calm down dear. Tell me what happened. What did Rey do now?" asked her mom while making her sit on the sofa.
Rey and Taani knew each other from a very long time. They spent their childhood together. They went to the same school and also to the same college. They were the best of friends. Both of them always stood for each other no matter what. Taani had started having some feelings for Rey, but she didn't express the feelings as she felt it would ruin their friendship. Rey too had a soft corner for her in his heart but till date he never understood his feelings. Their parents were aware of their feelings for each other but they felt that it is Rey and Taani who should understand their feelings for each other rather than them telling.
"We had gone out for shopping…" started Taani.
FLASHBACK
"Taani, we were going out for a movie, right?" asked Rey who was a bit surprised that Taani had brought him to the mall.
"No! I wanted to go shopping, but if I would have told you about this earlier you wouldn't have come." stated Taani and started walking towards a shop.
"What the hell! You lied to me! I'm off from here you enjoy your shopping!" said Rey.
"Oh come on Rey! I know you don't like to go shopping with me, but please don't leave. We'll just buy a few things and then go for a movie. Okay?" she asked him. He just nodded a yes and they went inside a jewelry shop.
"Rey this set is beautiful, isn't it?" she asked him fully mesmerized by the set.
"Yeah" he said blankly.
Taani felt bad at his response. She expected him to say something more. She left the shop feeling disheartened. Rey followed her out.
"If you didn't want to buy it then why did you even go into the shop?" asked Rey annoyed by her behavior.
"It's no use telling you. Let's go to some other shop." she said and started walking towards a clothes shop.
"Alright. Finish up your shopping fast. I want to go for a movie today." He said and started walking behind her.
She felt very bad about his sudden change of behavior. She felt something weird about him today. Still she ignored it and walked him into the shop.
"Don't tell me you are going to buy clothes! This means for the next one hour we are going to be here" said Rey making a sulking face.
"Yes! And you dare not argue with me or else you will have to watch a movie alone!" said Taani in a mocking way.
"No matter what I'm going to drag you inside the theatre so finish your stupid shopping so that we can leave early" said Rey entering the shop.
"How can I help you?" asked the shopkeeper.
"Show me some nice party wear dresses" said Taani.
"Why do you want a party wear now?" asked a confused Rey.
"What do you mean by 'why'?" asked Taani back.
"I meant there is no function coming up still you want a party wear" stated Rey.
Taani was shocked hearing this. She never expected this. Gaining back her senses she said, "How does it matter to you? I want one and I'm going to buy it!"
The shopkeeper showed her a few dresses but she rejected them. Rey was getting irritated. He even asked the shopkeeper to bring something nice as fast as possible. The shopkeeper then returned with a pretty black dress.
"Wow! This one is really pretty. I loved it. I'm going to buy this one itself!" said Taani.
"You sure Taani?" asked Rey.
"What do you mean?" reciprocated Taani.
"I meant will this fit you?" said Rey giggling.
"You think I've become fat!" said Taani who was really shocked.
"Well, to be honest, Yes!" said Rey and started laughing.
"You just go to hell! I don't want to shop nor see any movie. I want to go home right now!" exclaimed Taani and started walking towards the parking area.
"Taani dear just wait for a few minutes, I need to attend an urgent call" said Rey.
"Which call is so urgent for you?" asked Taani.
"Nature's call! I can't control now!" said Rey.
"Eww! Go fast!" said Taani.
Rey came back after about fifteen minutes. Taani's anger increased every passing second. As soon as he came they left.

"So you're angry on him as he called you fat?" asked Mrs. Shekhawat.
"Yes it is one reason" said Taani.
"And what's the other?" she asked.
"Mom can you believe Rey doesn't remember my birthday. He asked me why I was buying that dress!" said Taani tears building up in her eyes.
"Baby please don't cry. We'll teach him a lesson. Let's go in my room, we both will celebrate your birthday" she said while wiping Taani's tears.
They both went in her mom's room. Mrs. Shekhawat excused herself and came out of the room and called Rey.
"Rey dear your plan worked! She believed that you forgot about her birthday. But let me warn you she is very angry on you!" she said.
FLASHBACK
Rey excused himself to go to the washroom. He went back into the mall and called Mrs. Shekhawat.
"Hello aunty. Rey here. Aunty I'm planning a surprise birthday for Taani and I'm going to arrange everything in her room. This was going to work earlier but now Taani has got me into the mall with her. I have irritated her a lot here. I think she has believed that I have forgotten about her birthday tomorrow. When I get her home please don't let her enter her room. I'll be there decorating it. I'll call you once the arrangements are done then send her back. Please help me in this." Rey told her the entire plan and she agreed to help.
"I am helping you in this. Bring her home fast." She said and disconnected the call.
Rey went and bought some gifts for Taani and came back to the parking area where Taani was waiting for him.

"I assumed that! Don't worry I'll apologize and she will forgive me." said Rey.
Taani and her mom chit-chatted for about an hour or so. It was nearing midnight. Though Taani was angry on Rey, she expected a call from him wishing her 'Happy Birthday'. When about twenty minutes were left for twelve, Rey called Mrs. Shekhawat.
After attending the call, she looked at Taani, "Taani baby I'm really sorry. I need to attend an emergency call right now. If you please don't mind, can you please go back to your room?" she said in an apologetic manner.
"Mom it's alright. Even God wants me to spend my birthday alone" saying this she went towards her room.
"You are wrong Taani, God wants you to feel special, and I'm sure Rey will make you feel special" she said this when Taani left.
Taani went in her room. It was dark. She turned on the lights. The view in front of her surprised her. Her entire room was decorated with rose petals. She couldn't see the floor beneath. On her bed was a heart made of rose petals and a card was kept adjacent to it.
'Sweetheart I know you are angry on me and really hate me for my behavior in the mall today, but I had no other option left. I wanted to give you this surprise and if I would have been normal with you, you would have easily come to know about my plan. I am very SORRY Taani. Please forgive me'
Tears filled up her eyes. Her anger had vanished. She kept the card back on the bed and looked up. She found Rey kneeling in front of her with both his hands holding his ears and an apologetic smile across his face. She melted seeing him.
"I'm really sorry Taani. Please forgive me for my behavior" said Rey still in the same position.
"Rey, you are the cutest friend anyone can have. Now get up, I've already forgiven you!" she said smiling at him.
"Thank you so much sweetheart" he said with a wide smile across his face. "Just a few minutes left for twelve change into this fast" he said while handing over a gift box.
She opened it and was surprised to see the same dress that she had liked in the shop early that day. "You really want me to wear this? You said I will look fat in it!" she said raising her brows.
"I was just kidding! Even if you put on kilos you'll still look the same" he said making her blush.
She took the dress and quickly went into the washroom and changed and came out. She was looking very beautiful. Rey was staring at her. This was making Taani blush hard. Rey felt very ticklish. He didn't know why or how, but he wanted to be with Taani right now and forever. He came back to his senses when the clock struck twelve.
Taani and Rey both cut the cake together and fed each other. A little amount of cream was left on Taani's lips. Rey was losing himself to her today. Without thinking for a moment, he placed his lips on hers and licked the cream. Taani was startled by his action. He didn't leave her. He started kissing her passionately. Taani couldn't control her emotions any further and responded back.
After a few minutes, Rey came back to his senses and broke the kiss. His eyes were low. He couldn't meet her eyes. "Taani, I don't know when and how but I think I have fallen in love with you" said Rey keeping his head low.
Taani couldn't believe her ears. She had waited for a long time to hear this. Her happiness knew no bounds.
"Taani I'm really sorry for what happened right now. I mean I couldn't control" said Rey. Guilt visible on his face. He was cut midway by Taani, "Rey this is the best birthday gift ever!" she said.
He looked up and saw her face. She had a wide smile on her face. He became really happy knowing that she too had the same feelings for him.
"I love you sweetheart!" said Rey hugging her tightly.
"I love you too!" said Taani hugging him back.
"Finally you both realized your feelings!" said Priyanka and Shanaya (Rey's mom) while entering the room.
Taani blushed hard at their comment while Rey rustled his hair with his fingers.
"I almost forgot to give you your gift!" he exclaimed and pulled out a small box from his pocket.
Taani opened it and was surprised as well as happy to see the same set. Rey made her wear the neckpiece and earrings. He then took the ring and went down on his knees.
"Taani Shekhawat, May I have the privilege of changing your name to 'Taani Reyansh Singhania'?" he asked.
"I would love to change my name!" said Taani blushing.
Rey put on the ring in her finger and kissed her.
