With Life OK's Amrit Manthan (Director's Kut) bidding adieu, the channel is replacing it with Gustakh Dil- a tale of love and destiny featuring Sana Sheikh, Vibhav Roy, Parvati Sehgal and Meghna Malik. It will delve into the intertwined lives of three souls, brought together by destiny and caught in a strange relationship.

Nikhil cannot love his wife Laajo as he loves his childhood muse Ishana instead. The serial aims at exploring the typical love triangle story albeit in a radical way. The extremely talented Meghna Malik, essays the role of Barkha, Nikhil's mother.

Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK said, "After a successful run with romantic shows like Kaisa Yeh Ishq Haiand Do Dil Ek Jaan, we are now bringing another love story but with a twist. Disruption has always been a key thrust for us at Life OK and with Gustakh Dil we are aiming to bring out the other side of a love triangle. Gustakh Dil narrates the tale of a street smart Laajo, who challenges the norms of the village only to face adverse unpleasant circumstances. To evade the anger of her peers from the village, she grudgingly marries Nikhil. Her tumultuous journey begins the moment she arrives at Nikhil's home in New Delhi, where she discovers that her husband is obsessed with his childhood heart throb, Ishana.

The story is a portrayal Laajo's fight to be accepted in a home which continues to ignore her. Tough and resolute she continues to be a best friend to her husband.

Will Laajo's in-laws acknowledge her as the bride? Gustakh Dil will debut on Life OK on 5 August 2013 and will be telecast from Monday to Friday at 7.30pm
