I have started writing my new FF and this is the first chapter. After ending the last one I had so many requests to start another one and couldn't deny the request of my loyal readers....๐
Thanks everyone for reading my last one and I do hope you enjoy this one just as much if not more.
I would like to give a special thanks to Anam for helping me get the idea together.๐

Chapter 1
Rano sat on the steps by the front door of the house holding a cup of chai with both hands tightly around it causing her knuckles to turn white, but the warmth of the cup felt great on the insides of her hands in the cold morning. The Sun was just starting to peak out with the rays starting to filter across the valley. Everything was so quiet during the morning. The start of a new day hoping to bring new beginnings and some happiness, but it was during the day that life got complicated. Running into different people everyday yet answering the same questions. Don't people ever get tired of asking she thinks to herself? It's been just a little over two months since she moved out the Walia Mansion and resided in this country style house on the outskirts of Mumbai, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Sipping her steaming chai she thinks life has changed so much. How did we go from being little kids to be all grown up in just within one year? How she missed her life in Mt Abu with her Father and her sister Bani. Life was so simple living and enjoying every breathing moment of each day. There were bad moments as well as good too when her father drank a lot, with Bani Di having to work extra hard to support them and put her through school, but all the love that was between them made up for all the other things. What I would give to go back to that life style again. She shakes her head and takes another sip.
There is no turning back from here. Life is only going to more forward and I have to adjust and learn to move forward with it. I can either stay in the past and keep regretting all the decisions I made since coming here or move forward and show the world that life doesn't stop with ups and downs. We made it through the death of our father. Given Bani Di was there to support us humhare sabhi Armaan puri kiye. Apno armaano ka ghalla ghot ke.
She finishes her chai and sets the mug down on the steps and wraps the white shawl tighter around her while hugging her knees and setting her chin down. Closing her eyes she goes back to the day when she left Walia Mansion.
Sitting in the middle of the bed thinking of the last couple of weeks going though her head she weeps like a baby. She knows she can't run to her Bani Di she has her own issues of dealing with the shock that the other women in her husband's life is her own sister she raised like a daughter. Now is not the time that I run to her and trouble her with my marital problems. She wipes her tears gets up from the bed and walks toward the chest of drawers. Sitting down on the floor she opens the bottom drawer after pushing aside all the garments she pulls out a blue folder. Without closing the drawer she walks over to work desk in the corner. Pushing aside the laptop that was give to her as a gift from Jai she places the folder on the desk. Pulling out the chair she sits down and opens the folders.
Reading the same papers over and over she finally picks up a pen and signs it on all three copies. Grabbing three big envelopes she separates each one into a pile. In the first envelope she puts the papers seals and addresses it. The second envelope she puts the papers and in big liters writes "MY COPY". Looking at the third envelope she unclasp the latch on mangulsutra and lets it drop into her hand. Remembering the day she had run off with Sahil when Pia tried to help them get married. Kash ous din maine Bani di ke baat sunni hoti. I was so infatuated with love and still married him a short while later. Di was right you don't marry just the man you marry every single family member. I now realize that he couldn't stand up for me then and he sure didn't stand up for me right now. Taking the manalsutra and along with the wedding ring she took off she places inside the third envelope along with the papers and seals them. Taking a pen in bold letters wrote. SAHIL.
She walked over the closet grabbed a small duffle bag and placed it on the bed. After placing her papers walked back to the closet and gathered a few things placed them in the bag and zipped it up. Taking a tower she walked into the bathroom to take a shower coming back out wearing a denim capris with a white cotton tank top with a light sweater. Going in front of the dresser taking a look at her refection with a no sindoor or mangalsutra a way of life she was going to get used to again. While turning she noticed the picture of herself with Bani and Pia. Taking the picture out she tore the side Pia was on and threw on the floor and placed the other in her bag. Picking up her bag she headed toward the door. Without looking back she closed the door and headed out.
Walking past everyone's room she headed toward the guest room which was now her sister's room. She placed the bag on the floor. Lifted her hand to knock on the door and stopped. What am I doing? Should I bother telling Di I am leaving? How will she react? I don't want to leave her here by herself. I know that Masi, Biji and Aditya Papa will be here to taker care of her, but if something happens. She is out of her shock and is talking some again. I am not going to leave without talking to her. With confidence she lifts her hand again to knock, but the door opens. On the other side is her Di dressed in a plain yellow salwar kameez holding a bag.
"Di"
"Challe Rano" Was all Bani said.
In that split second without another word being said they understood what each other was feeling and going through. Picking up her bag she headed down the long staircase for the last time with her sister beside her.
Walking towards the door they saw everyone! No one tried to stop them knowing well that the decision had been made. One bye one everyone was behind them each of their reactions different from one another some happy and some sad. The last person Rano saw before walking out was Sahil. She saw no reaction from him. Lately he had always been upset and yelling she had forgotten how he was before they married. She didn't know if he would ever have a change of heart towards her, but one thing she knew was that once stepping out of this house Sahil Bali chapter was closed for her for ever.
Stepping outside she looked at her Di who was looking straight out at the street. Bani's face had gone stone cold in the last couple of days after knowing about Jai and Pia. She had lost all color from her life. She knew how much Bani loved Jai. How could he do this to her after what her Di did for him and his family.
As they walked toward the cab Rano couldn't help but wonder if there was more to this Jai and Pia than what Pia was leading everyone to believe, but now was not the time or place to dwell on it. They had been trying to deal with for days now and still the fact was Jai and Pia were having a child.
"Rano" hearing her name she jolted coming back to reality.
SO what do you guys think!!!!๐
