A song for republic Day

Republic Day is coming up, what are your favourite memories? What kind of music do you feel like hearing?

There was this song, earlier on, I loved it for its content, then I noticed how she goes almost breathless, then I realized this is actually something like Multi-tracking, but this song is originally from a 1950's move Anandmath, when multitracking was not possible

Did she actually sing this the way it is here? Does anyone have a copy of the original, this I think is late 90's you can see the difference

This surely beats the other versions I have heard from other singers

When Vinit sung "Sandese Ate hai" I had mentioned that if Nihira had sung this, she would have won C2005 in a landslide, but could she really have been able to sing this one? or anyone?

I have this song on vcr format, will try to figure out how to put it up online for download....

But this voice of Lata Mangeshkar is her old voice...... and not rerecorded in 1990s.
