This is the third birthday celebrated for Ahem. Year on year we have seen a different reaction from him for his Gopi.
It was in the first one when Kokila got Gopi to sing 'Happy birthday' for him. His cartoon birthday cake and children's birthday decorations were courtesy of Rashi's and Urmila's KKs. He was most upset with unfolding of the events but he thought back to the previous year when Anita wished him. Gopi attempted several times to wish him but he did not wait for her to do so eventually she wishes him while he was asleep.
Surprisingly, in the second one we got to see Anita, who had been staying at their house, wish him first thing in the morning. It was in this birthday where he completely ignored Anita's advances, especially when it came to feeding Gopi with cake. This time too Gopi waited for a suitable time but it wasn't till it was late into the evening when she eventually did. Rashi was tasked by Kokila to keep an eye on Anita.
This time Ahem gifted Gopi with bangles and complimented her through Meera, giving Gopi the chance to get to wish him then. They both walked together down stairs to the waiting guests. Gopi was burdened with having both Kokila and her mother to please, which was amplified by Urmila's and Rashi's KKs.
What we see is that Urmila and Rashi ways remaining the same. Kokila always want the best for her son and Gopi. It is Ahem and Gopi who is moving forward and continue to get better with being with each other.
