Post marriage, life's turned into one big party for Gurdip Kohli Punjj

All smiles, Gurdip is the quintessential glowing newly-wed. Quite like her on-screen characters, post-marriage she's been the perfect housewife — waiting for hubby dear, cooking special meals and doing up the house. And of course traveling extensively but only if it is with hubby Arjun (Punjj). Bubbling with energy she gushes, "I have been off work from November, and believe me I have enjoyed myself to the hilt. I would advise every soap actor to take a break. I am so much at peace with myself now. After working for five years continuously this holiday was more than welcome. I didn't realise it, but while working I had started to neglect my own self. During this break, I took care of myself — I slept, ate, worked out, pampered myself and caught up with family and friends and most importantly spent some very good time with Arjun." In fact, Arjun is very impressed with her home management skills. "Being the youngest in her family, she has been the pampered one. I hardly ever saw her doing any work at her place. I am surprised to see her managing everything so efficiently," he says fondly. So have things changed after marriage for her? "Not, at all. Arjun is just the same — he still makes me laugh. But yes, I have been socialising a lot more with him. He's quite an extrovert and a party person. Earlier I had no energy left to go for parties after work, but now after the day's rest I am all ready to party in the night." Also, the gal sure is turning into a great cook, much to Arjun's delight who's a self-confessed foodie. "Cooking is in my genes. My mother and sisters are excellent cooks. I am constantly on the phone with them taking instructions, and touchwood till now every dish has been quite a hit," she shares. Of course, on and off Arjun also dons the apron to pamper her. But come February, and Gurdip will be all set for light, camera and action, as she gears up for work again. Though she's not letting out the details, Gurdip says that she has some exciting assignments in store.
