Zee TV's magnum opus historical Jodha Akbar seems to be all about replacements these days. Somehow, it seems that the creatives are not being able to get the casting right, for whatever reasons.
After Lavina Tandon coming in for Smilie Suri to play the role of Rukhaiya Begum, the maker has opted for another swap move.
As per media reports, new comer Abhishek Dwivedi was roped in to play the important role of Maharana Pratap and was about to start shoot. However, he has been replaced at the last minute.
And the actor to step into Pratap's role is none other than Anurag Sharma, who is a loyal Balaji actor. He came into the limelight essaying the role of Satish in Pavitra Rishta.
When contacted, Anurag told us, "Well, it is true that I have been offered the role. But I have not got a confirmation as yet."
Interestingly, Anurag has also been roped in to play a pivotal role in Balaji's upcoming show for Star Plus, Mera Tera Rishta Purana.
