Chapter 9

Rey: wo..muje mera locket wapus chaiye!

Taani just looks at him and holds her locket tight and nodes her head saying no.

Rey: aare…main request nahi kar raha! M ordering you! Muje mera locket wapus do!

Taani: (stil holding the locket) ye mera hai!!

Rey: tumhara tha!! Ab muje wapus chaiye! Give it to me!

Taani again nodes her head saying no, Rey looks at her and holds her chain.'

Taani: aap aisa nahi kar sakte! Meri chain chodiye! Dekhiye main keh rahi hu ye meri locket hai!

People in the train were staring at them now. One man walks and holds Rey's color.

Man: kya kar rahe aap? Kya samaj rakha hai khudko? Itne logo k samne ek ladki k saath batamizi karenge? Chain nikaloge uska? Wo bhi public mein?

Taani: (nervous) aare nahi bhaisahab wo…

Man: aare behenji ap darye mat! Bohot dekhe inke jaise! Akeli Sundar masum si ladki kya dekhli, batamizi karna shuru kar dete hai! inhe sabak sikhana hi padega!

Rey: listen main koi batamizi nahi kar raha tha!

Taani: haan, aap chodiye inhe!

Now all people started getting involved in it. Another woman joins in

Woman: aare beti tum daro mat! Hume aise ladko k saath sakti se pesh ana hoga! Inko toh chapel se marna chaiye!

Taani: (more nervous) aare!! Nahii…. Aap samaj nahi rahe! Wo

All people were talking and telling her to be strong and not allowing her or Rey to speak. She keeps trying to speak to them but no1 was ready to listen. Rey was trapped, the man still didn't leave his collar. He was just looking at the eyes of all the ladies that were staring at him. He imagined himself being kicked out of the moving train, he quickly comes out of his imagination and moves his head and looks at Taani who was struggling to explain things to them but no1 was ready to give a chance to speak. Finally taani yells!!

Taani: chup!!! Sab k sab chup!! Kabse bolne ki koshish kar rhai hu par koi muje bolne ka mauka hi nahi raha! Bas boley ja rahe hai, boley ja rahe hai! meri baat sune ka naam hi nahi le rahe! (looks at the man holding his collar) chodiye inhe! Maine kaha chodiye inhe! (the man quickly leaves Rey, Taani goes and stands near rey pushing the man away) Hatiye aap! Ye koi batamizi nahi kar raha tha!! Pati hai ye humare!! 1 saal aur 6 mahine hue humari shaadi ko!

Rey just looks at Taani, all the people in the train were shocked, and more than every1 rey was amazed, He just couldn't take his eyes off her!

Taani: (looks at the woman) Chappal se marenge inhe aap? Chapal nikal k apne sarr par mariye! Kuch bhi sochte rehte hai! (looks athe women who were staring at Rey)gurr kya rahi hai? Tamasha khatam ho gaya!!

Rey looks at everyone with attitude and as they walked away from them. He looked at Taani who was looking at evry1 angrily, he couldn't help but smile. Taani realized she spoke about their marriage and now she didn't want to face him.

The train haults and Taani immediately gets off from the train. Rey runs behind her,

Rey: taani!

Taani shuts her eyes, bites her lower lip with her upper lip and then turns. Before Rey could say or ask her anything she speaks

Taani: kal jab us aurat ne muje datta tab apne unko datta! Aaj jab sabne apse gusse se baat ki toh maine sabko data! (swallows her saliva) toh hisaab barabar hua!

Rey was surprised, he didn't know what to say, Taani turns and quickly starts walking, Rey gets confused and looks at her again.

Rey: Taani??

Taani stops and looks up and the sky and prays to her krishnaji and fully nervous turns and faces him.

Rey: (walking towards her)tumne sirf hisaab barabar karne k liye unpe chilaya? Sirf hisaab barabar karne k liye muje support kiya? Sirf hisaab barabar karne k liye sabse itne rudely baat ki? Wo log sab tumare side mein the, tumne sabko apne against kiya, sirf hisaab barabar karne ke liye??

Taani takes a deep breathe out of nervousness and looks here and there,and nodes her head saying yes.

Scene shifts

Raizada Group of industries.

Arnav was avoiding Khushi because he knew she wanted him to answer her question. She kept following him.

Arnav: stop following me Khushi!! Jao aur apna kaam karo, aur muje apna kaam karne do!

Khushi: nahi! ap pehle hume ye batiye ki apko kaise pata chala ki kal raat hum yaha the!

Arnav takes a deep breathe,

Arnav: muje nahi pata tha! Main yaha mere kisi kaam k liye aya tha! Apne aap ko itna importance dena bandh karo because you're not that important!!

Khushi looks at him and he knew she was not convienced with the answer. He enters the lift, Khushi runs behind him and enters the lift,

Khuhsi: (stubborn tone)Jab tak aap sach nai bolte hum apka picha nahi chodenge. (folds her hand and stands)

Arnav just ignores her and remains silent. Khushi waits for him to say something. She gets impatient and starts speaking pointing her index finger towards Arnav.

Khushi: chup kyu hai? apko sunai nai deta kya?? Hum kuch puch rahe hai na apse? Lift k andar ane se apko sunai nai deta? Ya ap gunge ho jate hai? ek seeda sadha sawal pucha hai apse. Uska jawab dene k liye itna waqt kyu lag raha hai apko? Itna mushkil sawal hai kya?

She keeps blabbering when suddenly the lights in the lift start blinking, the lift starts jerking and all of a sudden the lights go off and the lift stops.

Arnav: What the,,, ye lift ko kya hua? Damn…

Khushi: (tensed) aapki galti hai. sab apki galti hai, Kya zarurat thi iss lift me ane ki? Na aap is lift mein ate aur na main apke piche ati, aur na hum yaha fass jate? Ab iss lift ho kya hua? Khade khade hume dekh kya rahe hai? kuch kijiye Arnavji,

Arnav: Khushi kyat um do min k liye Chup ho sakti ho? Technician apna kaam karenge aur lift ko wapus se start karenge, just relax!

Khushi: haan to Tech…techni…wo techni..

Arnav: (takes a deep breathe) Technician…

Khushi: haan wohi… unhe phone kijiye aur batayiye ki hum yaha fasse hue hai. unhe kaise pata chalega?

Arnav: (controlling his anger) Khushi hum lift mein fasse hai, and for your kind information lift me network nahi milta!! So apna muh band karo and just wait, unn logo ko pata chal jayega!

Khushi slides down and sits keepin her hands on her knee. Arnav stands in 1 corner waiting for someone to help them.

Scene Shifts

St. Thresa's school

Taani was walking in the corridor and Rey was walking behind her,Aashi was passing by, she notices Rey and calls out to him.

Aashi: Aare rey!! aap yaha types kya kar rahe hai? Aaj toh apko apke dance Institute mein jana hai na?

On listening to this Taani stops and turns and looks at Rey, he nervously looks at Taani and looks at Aashi and smiles.

Rey: (fake smile) Aashi!! Tum bhi na, kitni bulakad ho chuki ho!! (fake laugh) bhul gayi kal raat ko humari baat hui thi??? (keeps his hands on his shoulder and tries to drag her from there)

Aashi: (removes his hands) Kal raat ko? Nahi toh…

Taani suspiciously looks at both of them, Rey makes a "god help me Face" and looks at Taani and then Aashi and smiles.

Precap

Scene 1

Khushi: (banging the door and yelling) Koi hai?? Hum yaha fass gaye hai!! humari awaz sunai de rahi hai kya??

(she starts banging the door and Puts his ear on the door trying to see if she could hear something. Aranv opens his eyes and keep looking at her innocent behavior .

scene 2

Taani: (suspicious)Aap Aashi aur Bhaarat ki madadt karne aye the na? to phir yaha kyu baithe hai?

Rey quickly stands up and faces her, he swallows his saliva, he somewhere liked the way Tani was spying on him, he liked the way she looked at him, the way she questioned him. He automatically smiles, Taani gets confused, she gives him a confused look.
