Time stilled for a moment, dhak dhak dhak dhak, the thump of their heart beat is only audible now.(thanks to Arshidiehardfan to make me notify this) Both became oblivious of everything, the challenge, the ego. Romantic rabba vey is playing on the BG, Arnav's caramel orbs are shining with tenderness, flickering with emotions. Both are transfixed by their intent gaze. Khushi who was effervescing to celebrate the New Year with her jiji is bewildered to see Arnav in her room right at the eve of New Year. But sanka devi's addle pated brain spoiled the moment between them. She comes back from her trance and starts to chide Arnav. How cum he is in front of her. Arnav is trying to assuage the situation; he is telling her that his phone dropped here. But our jhalli doesn't let him even talk.
"your phone didn't came here by itself, obviously it came with you."
She is grumbling,
"Oh God whose face I've seen @ 12".
"excuse me, I also saw your face." Arnav retorts immediately.
But Khushi is Khushi, she is making it a big issue. It's the time to retaliate him. She is reminding him of his conceit that he will not come in front of her, but she will somehow confront him.
"you came wrong place at the wrong time Mr. Raizada. Now my whole year will be ruined."
Khushi's flippancy is acerbating Arnav. But who listen to Khushi she is baffled, how he came to her room. She thinks, he must came through the window. Arnav exasperates to hear her blabber. He moves close to her, covers her mouth with her hand and pushes her towards the wall. Khushi squirms under his strong grip.
(There was something sensuous in this scene. He touched her as if he owns her.)
"Shut up KKG, I also know how to scream. I'm not doing so, cause I do not want to wake everybody up and let them know that your sister is not home."
Khushi now realizes that Payal is out with Akash. But nautanki starts to scream jiji.
Arnav admonishes her to be quiet. He tells her that Payal went out with Akash.
Under the sky, Akash also celebrates New Year with Payal. After finishing the countdown he offers his hand to hold hers. Akash is saying mellifluous words to Payal. He even arranged Luchnowi tea for her. He is assuring her that her family won't be separate from her even after her marriage.
"How you will be the part of my family, same way I'll also be the part of your family."
"hum kisiko nahi khone wale , hum to serf ek doosre se panewale"
"we are not losing anybody, but gaining each other. For me Nothing is important than your happiness."
Payal also have the same thought.
Pause: sigh I wish if Akash would remember this vow, then he wouldn't behave like a mommy's boy in six months and would support Khushi along with Payal.
Khushi is really happy that Akash has done so much for her sis. Arnav who was standing beside her moves back. Khushi says that she can't believe that Akash is his brother. Arnav gets annoyed and comes back to her.
"excuse me, what!"
Khushi tries to covers up,
"I mean Akash ji believes in love, so he did this for jiji, so that he can see her face @12".
But Arnav thinks this are all stupid, filmy, nonsense stuff. He also said the same thing to Akash.
Pause: really, then why are you so worried to see Khushi @ 12.
Khushi retorts him, he thinks this is nonsense, cause he doesn't believe in love.
Arnav agrees her. Khushi asks him,
"This is the first night of the New Year; everybody must wish their beloved Happy New year. On the first night of New Year, everybody has new hopes, new dreams, but you? You nurtured so much bitterness inside you that you think even love is nonsense? Why are you like this?"
Rabba vey is in piano playing in the BG, depicts the inner turmoil of them,
"The whole world thinks like this, cause they are crazy. You don't get anything by wishing. This is all nonsense. The world doesn't get beautiful by embellishing with fake flowers and stars. The world remains relentless and stone hearted as always."
There is suppressed pain in his voice.His distraught past made him sardonic. the world he came across was really brutal.
"But you will not understand. Cause you don't have the thing to understand the depth of this words."
Khushi asks him what is that thing?
Arnav turns back and says derisively, he thought she will not even ask.
" it's called dimaag (intellect) KKG, what you don't have."
His insolence exasperates Khushi. She goes to stop him. She can't let him go without giving her answer. But she can't complete as someone knocks the door. They are perplexed; who can it be knocking so late at night!
It's NK who came with a big bouquet of roses. He is smiling in anticipation.
Khushi thinks it must be Payal. But she is ambiguous, why she would knock the door?
Arnav and Khushi come out from the room to check. But unfortunately bua also woke up, she is coming to open the door .Her nandkissore came, how can she stay asleep. Seeing buaji Khushi vehemently pushes Arnav back to the room. Arnav is dumbfounded,

It's time for Khushi to cover his mouth.
"Bua woke up"
Bua is going to open the door chanting nandkissore's name. Where NK is dreaming to see Khushi's face, he is muttering that @ 12 he will see the person's face, who will be his life partner for the rest of his life. Bua opens the door and NK opens his eyes. He is shocked, but bua is delighted.
"humri nandkissore!"
She is squeezing his cheeks; she looks really delectable to see nandkissore at midnight. buaji is thanking god that her wish fulfilled to see her nandkissore.
Then comes the hysterical moment; NK is imagining himself as a groom, holding his bride in his hand. The bride's face is covered with the veil. He says
"I do"
The bride says,"humoho do."
Oh gosh the bride is buaji.
"nahiii!!!!!!!!"
NK screams in premonition.
Bua thinks God has sent his ambassador to assure her that he will always be with her. NK cowers to hear this, "nahi"
Bua asks him why he came. She invites him inside.
Inside the room, Khushi is beseeching Arnav not to go outside.
"mei kaan pakarti hoo." She even is ready to hold her ears.
If bua finds him she will not spare her and Payal also. She thinks she will not spare him as well. Arnav is getting frustrated. Khushi suggests him to say "what the" as much as he wants. She is even ready to serve the punishment. She starts to sit up and down. She requests him wistfully not to go outside. Aranv finally agrees at her plea.
Amma also wakes up hearing the door bell. Bua introduces NK with her. Bua again expresses her happiness to see him, she squeezes his cheek again. Amma looks a bit incredulous that why he came so late at night? Nk says he actually came to wish New Year. Bua asks him did he come for her. NK retorts not her only, but for Khushi as well.
Bua screams "khushi, payalia .look nandkissore is here."
Khushi and Arnav both are flabbergasted to hear this. Arnav is fuming. Khushi opens the door slightly and slides her lissome figure out very carefully.
Now starts Khushi's drama. I think I won't be able to justify Sanaya's brilliant acting by words. Amma asks her when did she come and why Payal didn't let her know. Khushi tells them that Payal is not at home and immediately rectifies herself that she is sleeping. She illustrates by keeping her hand on her cheek and cradles her head, closing her eyes
"jiji to so gaye he. So gaye hai.(jiji fall asleep)"
Nk who was trying hard to grab her attention finally wishes her happy new year.
Khushi is literally mourning,
"yeah, new year, new day, new night, and at midnight."
Hearing her incoherent speech, Nk thinks she is drunk. When he signals her, she doesn't get him, thinks he is asking for water. bua calls payal again. Khushi says her she already fall asleep. Bua goes towards the room. Before she can reach there Khushi runs and closes the door. Bua asks her about the door. Khushi says it's closed now. Khushi accidently utters laad Governor. She stammers, she means Arnavji. NK is flummoxed, "you mean nanav is inside?"
Khsuhi immediately covers it up,
"I didn't say that. I mean jiji, there is nobody inside the room."
Amma says "but payal should be". Khushi doesn't let her complete
"jiji is sleeping." She leans her body on bua's shoulder to show them Payal is sleeping. When bua again mentions Payal's name, Khushi tries to divert them.
"plz spare jiji. I'm doing sit up."
She starts to sit up and down. All looked stupefied to see her delirium.
NK suspects, something is wrong. He asks her again, is Nanav inside? despite answering his question Khushi asks him why he calls him Nanav? Nk starts to say that long time ago.
Khushi snatches his words,
"you were kids right? wow'
Arnav is sullen, pacing back and forth, what NK is doing here and how cum his jet lag gone so fast? He takes out the watch from his pocket and wears it (it's the first time I'm seeing him wearing a watch.) He opens the door slightly and sees that khushi and NK are shaking hands and NK is wishing her happy new year. Before NK can give her the roses, bua snatches the bouquet from his hand.
"I love roses so much." Bua is enamored. Poor NK is crying inwardly.
After greeting him Khushi says him namastey and shows him the gate to leave. NK says he is yatim(orphan) that the whole next year, he will see Khushi. Khushi mends him yakin (sure). She is literally coercing him to take a leave. Bua seems still frolicking to meet nandkissore.
"bohot hi achcha hai humri nandkissore.(my nandkissore is really good)"
Bua sits down on the chair. But Khushi can't let her sit. She says her that, she needs to go to sleep as well; otherwise she may have a headache. She pushes her towards her room. Bua hands over her the flower bouquet.
Khushi rushes inside her room, she rambling in consternation. Arnav is fuming,
"What the, what NK was doing here? And this flower? .Khushi, are you alright?"
"I saw your face @ 12, how I can be alright?" Khushi pleads him to leave. Arnav infuriates to hear this.
"What I was doing"
He grits his teeth in anger. When Arnav comes near the door to leave, bua screams from outside,
"ye titlia"
Khushi again inhibits him to go outside. But Arnav is obdurate, whatever bua may think, he will definitely leave now. Khushi pulls him back. Bua is screaming from outside to open the door. Khushi tells him to lie down on the bed.
"Are you lost of your mind?" Arnav retorts.
Khushi pleads, if bua sees him inside she will come to know that Payal is not at home and she will create a hue. She spreads her arm and thereby Arnav falls on the bed. Khushi gets aghast to see his angry face.
"See DM also wants this, that's why she made you fall on the bed.."
She picks his foot and makes him lie on the bed. She covers him with the blanket. Bua is still screaming from outside. Arnav sees there is no choice left, so he covers himself with the blanket.
Khushi opens the door and bua asks her why she took so much time, what she was doing? Khushi pretends that everything is fine. Bua says Payal caught a cold so she came for her. Khushi blocks her way, ""jiji is sleeping."
Bua says her then why she is awaking. She also should sleep. Khushi is cowering to sleep on the bed. She tells bua to leave, she will sleep later But bua is adamant, she will make Khushi lie down first, then she will go.
"I'm alright buaji, you go."
Khushi feels like crying. Bua scolds her as if she is a naughty kid, not sleeping on time.
"leto maharani.(lie down princess)"
She yells. Khushi is trembling in fear, glancing at the clad figure on the bed. Bua finally makes her lie down beside Arnav. Arnav and Khushi's first bed scene,
